Well, the major philosophy of the continent and that of the union are not necessarily going to be the same. To us, forcing everyone to conform to a standard set by a central body is liberal, or *socialist, more *socialist. However, that may be a misperception.

I don't really like the game of fair play the EU wants to play. Rich countries shouldn't be obliged to invest in nations who've simply screwed up.
