Gold in the tests

The "Brown Thunder" missions seem considerably harder on this game then they were on Vice, or maybe it's just me...I still need to do the boat school, I might grab a plane and do that later. But I feel a bit lazy and don't feel like going out of LS, gang wars don't start if you're out of LS do they?

Just take over all of the territories and they don't start... ever!!

yep i can vouch for that, ive got them all taken over and they dont start.

i only did up to lvl 12 in brown thunder but it did seem more time consuming.
 
Brown Thunder looks very much harder from what I seen you play, Blake. That Golf Course was the end of you.

But that's time consuming and annoying :lol:. But now I'm stuck where I am untill I finish LS off, I can't go to the damn boat school without a gang war starting before I leave LS, and I don't want to lose influence :grumpy:.

other than the helicopters flying a little differently than VC (you have to use R2 and L2 more) and the camera is a little different i think.. anyway the hunter in SA seems nearly invincible.. i got to lvl 50 without much probablems but a good bit of running into stuff and being very close to cars and rockets exploding and the hunter never started smoking once.. up to lvl 50 there is no bug like in VC (the cars keep spawning in the same spot
 
First time I've flown the planes today... and they're really well done... and hard to fly... V twitchy...

The Choppers are similar but the physics have been tightened up a bit and I love the way pressing square doesn't just drop you out of the sky!!

Yeah, they've made landing the Helicopter alot better, as they don't just hit the ground and bounce. Although, I learnt to land it gently.
 
The driving school is so easy. After half an hour i have half the tests golds, mostly on third tries...

My problem is the City Slicker. That car sucks ass; not enough grip for the life of it.

I still can't Gold this goddamn Burn and Lap. It's impossible on my game. I've come to that conclusion. :lol: But seriously, I've tried every damn way on the planet. I know what I'm doing wrong, but it's just impossible to get a perfect run. I think I might just give up for a long time, and come back to it when I can really be bothered, because it is frustrating me no end.

yeah, that usually helps me.. in fact a lot of times when i play something really long and get frustrated and take a break, when i come back i beat it first try... also how far are you from getting gold? what times are you usually getting? did you try 1st person camera?
 
I've golded every test in the Driving School bar this. All of the other tests I passed in the first few goes at the most. I found them so easy. Then came this. I've also golded the Boat and Bike Schools. Plane School I just can't ever be bothered with, although I'll do it one day.

I've tried First Person View. I've tried Cinematic View for christ's sake. I keep getting between 38 and 38.5

I've only gone under 38 twice. This is weird for me, as I'm usually a competitive Racer.

hmm.. maybe you should try and find a video of someone getting gold on it hehe.. i could try and best describe how i do it if you think it'd help :)
 
you need less than 36.2 because i got that for a friend and got 98% so about 36.1 should do it.
 
Okay, now I'm pretty sure that's not true. I've been taking note of the Time Percentage, and every .100 = 1%. That would mean that you need between 37 and 37.099.
 
Well I'm pretty certain 36 is just too hard a time. I'm pretty sure on my theory, as I've been watching the percentages.

It's less than 36.7 I'm certain of that, so it probably is 36.2.
 
thanks blake it has to be i got 36.1xx and got gold and i got 36.2xx for friend and i got silver
 
Don't you hate it when you try forever trying to do one of the tests and then smash it when you finally get it? I just got 35:81 on the Burn & Lap, and I've been at it for a whole 2 days now!

Anyway, all golds! :party:
 
I did All gold on Bike School yesterday... they were all easy except for jump and stoppie...

I just couldn't keep the bike straight when slowing in the stoppie... but I noticed that the Computer keeps it dead straight if you don't bother pulling a stoppie...

SO... the way I did it was... Accelerate real hard by ducking down... hit the jump land... let the computer brake for me... stopped perfectly in the middle dead straight... GOLD!!!

Congrats. I know I can do it, but not right now. I'm usually competitive. This time I plain suck at it. And that happens to me, what happened to Shannon. I get owned heaps, and then I finally own the Test/Mission. It happens alot. :grumpy:

i used skill to do jump to stoppie, no nead of cheat lol
