Very nice guys! They are hilarious and crazy:D! I know them personally!

Gonçalo Pereira

And (probably) my favourite Portuguese artist! Gonçalo Pereira, wich i believe no one can play electric guitar like this guy in Portugal! Joe satriani and the likes level! If there are any (real) musicians here just watch and youll get me;)! Fabulous technic! Nice guy too (smoked with him a few years back on a Dream Theater concert back in 2002/2003, how cool is that:D)!

Funny stuff

For english people about my age (15) dubstep is quite a popular genre that has grown on a lot of people over the years. It's relatively new at the moment (been knocking around for around 5 years).
A good example (if you'll pardon the pun) would be this:

👍

I can't believe that's what's popular in England now-a-days.

You guys gave us The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Who, ELO, Queen, T-Rex, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Iron Metal; I could go on & on about the amazing artists that the UK has brought out.

I think they reunited a few times since then, but nothing too serious. I guess the singer, Evandro Mesquita, works mostly as an actor these days.

My 3 favorite bands from Nippon:

Blankey Jet City - Bad. Ass.

Mr.Children - Japanese Pop Rock Supreme

The Blue Hearts - This was the beginning for them. Trust me, like the Beatles, they did grow through phases.

Would The Script and Biffy Clyro count? It's just that I'm English and they're Irish and Scottish respectively. If I'm only restricted to English artists, then I like N-Dubz. (My taste in music is varied!)

They're in Montreal this weekend... sadly, they haven't popped back here (officially) yet:

Of course, can't forget Toronto's band. Pretty sure half the city has been a member at some point (Hello Emily Haines, Leslie Feist, Amy Millan):

Lastly, this guy's blowing up fast - he played his first live show last weekend, and this weekend plays in front of 15,000 opening for Drake. Not normally a fan of this style, but I've listened to this all summer now...
