Fortunately GT doesn't have to be played any one specific way. Guys in to slammed and cambered cars can do just that, and take sweet pics. Guys in to racing can set their cars up for racing, and if you really want to you can chrome your slammed and cambered Schwimmwagen and park it next to your perfectly race tuned ZR1 RM (which I doubt will be conquering any speedbumps any time soon)

Don't hate, appreciate. We're all car nuts.

+1 Owens. I enjoy chortling at this poseur trend. I just wish the GT physics would rip the wings off /shred the tyres on bumpy tracks.

If you cant get over a speedbump normally, it's lost it's function.

lol? I guess then all supercars lost it's functionality?? Wow, some of the haters here. If you're not in to the whole hellaflush/stance scene then just GTFO and go to a different thread... No need to come in here and say it's stupid, or it the car isn't functionable because it can't go over a speedbump.... Which is a stupid thing to say. Especially when most supercars can't even drive around in a parking garage. You have your own taste in cars, and we have our own. We like the whole slammed, cambered, stretched tires, flush look... It's our thing. People should modify their own cars with their OWN money. No need to hate. Each to their own... Maybe some of the haters should open up their minds a little bit, and be less ignorant, and respect ones work/time/money spent on building the car.

Low is a lifestyle, and I guess haters gonnnna hate cuz they can't be stuntin' like us!!! haha

EDIT:
Excessive camber on a daily driver doesn't matter? lol

Did you not read all of that post? Yeah, it doesn't matter because we choose to daily our cars like that... It's our choice, our money, our cars. I guess you never heard of a hookup for tires?? lol... or used tires?

Everybody cries about the lack of premium cars and custom parts in gt5. I knew before I bought the game about these things but I thought f it (less is more) and I will be happy if I can just slam my cars and change the wheels like I did in gt4.

Then I found out the the cars won't go as low as in gt4:guilty:

The cars in gt4 had stance...

Racecars have stance too, it's not just for show. Take this Miata race for example (real life)

Do your research before saying things like negative camber makes your car lose function etc blah blah blah...

I never said negative camber loses function, I did say sitting on the tire and having a retarded amount of neg camber kills function. Stretched tires with lips hanging off are not for function.

As well you know how a tire wears on the street with a race set up?

I do! I actually run a lil more neg camber then most on the street in my Evo. Yea my tires wear funny, however that is with a mild street set up. I can live with it for the handling benefits are greater for me. I dont drive my car all to often on the street anyway.

Uhm... Yeah, to a certain extent. I don't think people that track their cars run upto -8 camber to fit some WIDE wheels, with stretched tires... You can't really compare a track setup to a street setup... lol. And that Miata does NOT have stance at ALL. Maybe YOU should do some research and understand what a properly stanced car is.... because all that Miata has is some negative camber, I don't see any stretched tires, or any wheel fitment.... rofl looks more like a track setup to me... Do some of you guys even know what having a stanced car means?? btw the tire deformation is dope in that pic!!

I'm actually going to have to agree with Owens on this one. All that does loose function, performance wise, but remember most of these stanced cars are either just ment for show, or it's peoples daily drivers. I totally disagree with having a stanced car, or even worrying about wheel fitment is important in a track car. Having the right suspension setup, with the right wheel size/width along with the right set of tires is what I'd go for if it were my track car.... UNLESS if the car is setup for drifting... then negative camber, and stretched tires is ok.... cept for the fact, if you have too much stretched tires you have a big chance in fcukin up your beads... haha happend to my friends AE86, while we were street drifting.

Hey guys!

Tried to make a good stance on the Focus, but the offset is a bit high. Still looks good in my opinion though:

Supra. Still abit too much offset and may need a bit more camber, but i like it:

This is a trend I will never understand. Stretched tires and massive amounts of negative camber seems like a step backwards in terms of performance and practicality. I realize it's a game but it some of the more extremely "stanced" cars look like a bunch of clowns are going to come rolling out of them. To each their own I guess, I really just wanted say that every car, person, even Christmas tree in the world has "stance" the word is starting to loose all meaning. It's nearly the same thing as people saying nos (nawz) when it's actually an abbreviation of a company's name. Most of the cars and pictures in this thread are beautiful. Some however are completely over done. Happy new years everybody!!
