Hang On, the Moto Racer series, and the MotoGP series (Namco then Capcom) are about the most successful motorcycle racing series in gaming. Take it from a guy who just grown curiousity and love for motorcycles. This project looks to inject a little life to motorcycle racing. I personally wish rFactor had some better motorcycle support. Then, we can really grow a motorcycle gaming community.

GP Bikes looks great from this demo deal. I'm not downloading this deal, but I can tell this can be a very good game as long as people can actually be drawn to using this deal and racing it as well. Hope this game can become successful to add a little more diversity to the choices of racing games. Maybe modding support could allow for more real bikes to be featured. Think of racing against Ducatis, an all Suzuki Hayabusa series, and stuff like that. It has a future. Thing is, will it have much of a future to be successful? We'll see when the full product comes out.

The game is being built as a base for moding...like rfactor. A new bike SIM for the pc is long overdue so this should take off when the mod tools are released.
Why wouldn't you download and tryh the alpah demo?

For one thing, I have dialup at my house. So it isn't like I'm going to complete a download of this in less than five minutes. Second, I'm not sure I have the requirements for this thing (I usually pay close attention to required RAM. Anything north of 381 (my PC's RAM) is usually a turnoff for my PC. None of my reasons pertain to not having any attraction to the game. Just some here-and-there issues.

I just saw a red Suzuki GSX-1300R while I was out with my parents. Perhaps this is motivation for me to imagine racing motorcycles on the PC. GP Bikes may just be the "killer app" that will give motorcycle racing fans something to be excited about. Or maybe I'm so much into the Gran Turismo hiearchy that I'm interested in racing bikes as well as street bikes. Last PC bike game I've enjoyed- Moto Racer 2.

heh, i took some time away from studying to try and set a decent lap time. sofar my pb is 52.5 seconds w/ the default setup. i use my gas and brake pedals for throttle and brake, and keyboard for everything else. i'm not really pushing the bike too hard, its just i am not used to bikes at all... a ffb bike controller would be cool. maybe something like a wheel but one that could lean from left to right as well as turn a bit w/ throttle/brake/clutch on the handles like a bike.

If modders decide to create street bikes (ie. with mirrors and lights) I'll be all over this. :)

I'm downloading it now to check it out.

I like it; definitely gives off the vibe of "Live for Speed with bikes," lol. :) As I said in my last post, I just wish modders will be giving us street bikes to play with -- racing bikes are fun and all, but it's easier to have fun with something more forgiving.

Does anyone else find it odd that the Noale R250 can't pull any wheelies, or am I overestimating the torque of a two-stroker?

i thinki read somewhere that the power is limited when the car starts to pop a wheelie.

here's a vid of me drivining the rain for the 1st time. i didnt realized there was rain because i always left weather set to 'realistic', which i guess randomly generates weather conditions. i was surprised a few days ago to see the track was wet.:)

After 30 seconds... There is no way in hell would you have been able to make that exit shifting up so hard in the rain while turning... lol I had to point that out, anyways! look's like a good game!!!

VERY old thread, but I'm considering downloading GP Bikes. You know, now that this game has crossed my mind and that I have broadband. A dream for me with mod-friendly motorcycle racing games would be a proper motorcycle mod for rFactor. Not just that pocketbike beta. But I'm considering downloading this. I can really be a late bloomer with games sometimes.

alpha 4 has been released already, and alpha 5 is on the way. I havent tried this in a while myself, so I'm download alpha 4 now.

I'm downloading Alpha 4 right now myself. All I'm saying is that I wish there was a quality, mod-friendly motorcycle racing game like GP Bikes. Maybe since I like rFactor so much, I sometimes wish there was a proper mod for motorcycle racing. That would even include racing around some of Image Space's fantasy courses like Orchard Park's road course and places like that. I'd even imagine someone coming up with as real a representation of the Isle of Man TT course (all 34-36 miles of it). Only real mod-friendly motorcycle game prior to this (and I don't know if it was really a mod-friendly game) was the EA Sports Superbike games from the early 2000s.

But I still honor the people who came along with GP Bikes for making a proper motorcycle racing game in the mold of mod-friendly games like rFactor.

I downloaded and played GP Bikes. Trouble is... the damn thing can't go at least ten seconds without crashing. So I'm more than ever pulling for a proper mod for rFactor or something as opposed to this thing constantly crashing.

[MORE MATERIAL]
Either the one(s) behind GP Bikes come up with a better version that doesn't crash easily, or hope they make a more quality package than this thing. I've instantly deleted the GP Bikes folder. Maybe I'll try an older version, but for now, I'm not sold on a game I can't play.

have you tried looking at the forums? it isnt giving me any problems but maybe someone else has problems as well. The developer seems to check the forums regularly.

Yeah, have a look at the forums over at RSC. It still in beta Alpha by the way, not a finished game, and it's only one guy working on it. You sound so dissappointed that he did such a bad job....on his 4th beta alpha build.

Hello is this game still in the making, if so please make it for the PS4.

Yes they are still working on it. Its only for PC though and probably will only ever be for PC. Its just one guy that does it in his spare time it seems and they are still in beta modes. Asking for GP bikes on PS4 is like asking for snow in the middle of the desert lol.

^. OK you got me on that one lol. You guys know what I mean though. GP bikes is a niche bike sim that's been in development for years now solely on pc by one guy. With all the licensing, headaches and cost to put out a game on console the chances of a small one guy operation putting out a console game is very very slim. Also I wouldn't want it on console anyway. Console games are way to restrictive as far as controllers go. I much rather have a pc sim where you can use any type of controller you want or can make. I likes gp bikes beta demo I downloaded but you really need a wheel or some type of handle bar setup. I really like the handlebar and foot control setup the one guy was building and wanted to buy one once he got them into production but since then they have wiped the gp bikes forum clean I haven't seen him up there anymore .

Will this game be on steam fellas ?, as i might get a steam box, if that is so.I am dribbling at the thought of road bikes on real roads like the TT and the endurance bikes on the Bol d'Or circuit etc.

I hope Piboso make GP bikes a fine bike racing game to date.If they polish up the graphics and sound effects a bit and work heavily on the physics i will get a steam box pc for my lounge next year from Valve ( if cheap that is ).A shout out to Piboso please make a bike game next time like Gran Turismo for the PC with road racing in it.The latter game has to have vintage bikes in it.

A few examples :

Honda RC166
Honda RC163
Yamaha TZ700
Yamaha TZ750
Moto Guzzi V8
Norton Rotorys
Honda SP1 Joey Dunlop bike
Honda EvoBlade
Honda RVF 750 RC45
All two stroke machines
Manx Norton bikes
M.Hailwood Ducati MHR bike.
V&M R1 of David Jefferies
Sidecar racing aswell.

Would be even better to get the licence for the names of all the riders. And hook this up to Occulus Rift, that would be fantastic.
