Brands Hatch is definitely not my type of track! Hence I carried a different license plate this time on my car.
The first start was botched because I carried too much speed into turn 1 as it closes in around the blind crest and I went on the slippery green surface and spun badly. The restart also caught me out but with lesser issues, might have thrown someone into the gravel for that. I'm kicking myself all over for the massive flop not because of technicality but lack of skills around the tricky circuit that plays a lot of camber profiling and balance on your car.
Running three-wide at the start was something I didn't expect, but I eased off and went for a slower, consistent run instead. Shuffling down the order is probably the best insurance, if not the safest.
I didn't particularly enjoy the greenery as usual, but just had to kept my pace and go on as much as I can to the chequered flag, 3 laps down. Other than my usual off-track excursions and some bit of lawn mowing to at least rid the grass and get some asphalt.
It's a great season overall, thoroughly enjoyed it despite not performing well in the 2nd half of the season.
Now where's my contract shredder and my learner driver's license...
