Well i haven't heard anywhere that it is going to be released in the US. The only place it has been confirmed for release is in the PAL regions.

There were several disappoinments apparent from the E3 show. The first was the non-appearance of Gran Turismo 3: Concept although the game is out in Japan, and has been for some time, and is due out in PAL territories in a couple of weeks it looks like America is going to miss out.

I think that SCEA is going to put together a "total" version of GTC, which has Concept cars from all around the world included in it, not just a specific continent.

Thats, for the most part, what I was thinking EXEPT, I think P-D is mastering the network adapter, so GTC kinda turns into Gran Turismo Online, witch is due at the Adapter's Launch in August...

It happend with GT2000, it was made to show off PS2 way back in the days of last year, and eventually turned into GT3.

I'm a US resident lucky enough 2 have a copy of GT Concept 2001 and a modded ps2 2 play it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😈

I heard SCEA was going to put in ALL of the GTC cars in GTN.

It IS coming to the USA, yet it'll be an online version called GT Online or A.K.A., GTN.

today, I read from a magazine that a Chinese version of GTC is coming out for Hong Kong in July (GTC 2002 Tokyo - Geneva). It's going to have the new BMW Mini Cooper plus 9 others. Now they have Japanese, Korean, Australian, European and Chinese versions of GTC. But still no signs of US version. Would it be some licensing problems from the US motor makers?

It looks like you are the one that is missing out on something here, because that "old" version of GTC has not got 198 cars!!

I'll have to see what it actually looks like when it come out in July. I put the GTC2001 into the computer DVD drive and the game files used up all 4.7GB of the disc. I bet most of the cars are hidden.
By the way, if they really have 198 cars with the existing GTC screen manuals. It's gonna be a headache to win them all and find any of them after......now that I think about it, all GTs use one big giant list of cars to select from, so doesn't make much difference. Nevermind.
So July 17th is the day to hunt for 2 versions of GTC......

There's a lot of misinformation in this thread regarding GT4 and GTN (GTN was nixed by the way, did you know that?). However, the dates for GTC 2002's release in Europe and Australasia are pretty solid.

No, dates for the USA haven't been announced... part of me thinks Sony would've announced a release by now, but then again, why would they have put in the Solstice, Cien, and Crossfire if the game wasn't going to have an American release?

By the way, Etep... those are some pretty sweet screens. Got anymore little thumbs like that?

Sony has sold more copies of GT3 in the US than anywhere else.....we are the ****ing automotive capitol of the world and we have to go through all of this just to get a friggen game sent are way.I have every single friggen car I want on GT3.I'm ready for a new game!!!!!!It's been over a year DAMN!!!!Slanted eyed little bastards!!!I'm sory but I'm pissed off!!!At least give us a release date!!!

i don't remember the name of it... but it's the one that plays any imported disc you put on the ps2...without needing of swap-trick and gameshark tricks.

Plays like it was an american game...


I really recommend you to get those two if you are a GT fan....i know 2002 Tokyo-Seoul has only 4 more cars than 2001 Tokyo...But i want to keep all.... 2002 Tokyo-Geneva is my next buy.

PS: Can i make GT concept saves on the same Memory Card i have my GT3 save?

Do you remember where you bought the modchip and games from?

Whats Tokyo-Seoul? I know the original Tokyo and Geneva but I havent heard that one yet. Or maybe I have but just dont remember.

Tokyo-Seoul is the Korean Version, if im not mistaken.
