What could the customization refer to?

The whole visual customization is ridiculous and something for 12 year old Forza fanboys and Need for Speed idiots. Are you people 12 year old Forza fanboys and Need for Speed idiots? I don't hope so, otherwise the multiplayer will really suck.

Your whole post is automatically negligible because of the way you post.

Are you really upset that other users have different opinions than you?👎

You can't really be that ignorant.

Of course not. Efficient (not saying good, just efficient) argumentation is just about overexaggeration in many parts. My whole point is really: After all it's about how good you drive, not about how good or unique you look. And that's what GT is good at, and it shouldn't give that up in order to appeal to optical racers.

Erm, what is it giving up, exactly? Visual mods not being in the game takes away from those who want them. Visual mods being in the game take away what from those who won't use them?
Exaggeration is far from efficient. You say ridiculous things then you have to explain and refute when others call you out on it.

Boo... get off the stage!!!

I prefer to be able to personalise my car.

The Kaido Battle series seems to have it right. Yes, it does look ricey in some cases...

...you have to understand that liveries and body kits add so much more to the game, especially in the area of game time. You can spend so much time and (in-game) money on making your car look as wild, ricey or cool as you want.

I agree, we could have endless debates about taste or whether purely visual customization adds anything to the core experience of driving/racing cars apart from having a unique visual distinction or signature style when playing online but the most important thing is that creating all this stuff will be a gameplay element on its own for many people.

Not necessarily the end result or whether the end result really adds significantly to the driving part ( which it probably only does when using chase cam or watching replays and using PhotoMode ) but the process of creating is what gets people excited.
Most people may appreciate a painting or drawing but hate the prospect of doing it themselves or some might not even see the point of doing it as the prospect of the end result is mainly aimed to be looked at, nothing more.

To those who do paint or draw ( or anything creative ) it's more often the act of creating itself more than the end result which is enjoyable and if more options for visual customization ( for example livery editor ) are added and prove they can be enjoyed as a tool to use, the end results will eventually become better as a consequence.

Other than tech, I don't see an issue with body kits and liveries. I'd imagine PD would want body kits to reflect in the physics department as is their style and appreciated. I just don't see an issue. Generally I've found making your car look good can make for some hard to drive with suspension, so if you can drive a difficult car and win against someone's track tuned machine, more power to ya, or rather more skill. IMO.

That latter part still comes down to what Analog touched on; the personal taste thing. My preferred "style" if we were allowed visual customization would be closer to a track rat than a show car, so I wouldn't have to worry too much about limited suspension travel or overly showy rims. It still comes down to giving the user more options, something I'm all for, even if some peoples' tastes might not jive with mine. Plus it hugely appeals to me for creative reasons, just as Photomode has become a very big part of GT for me. Diff'rent strokes.

As for PD probably wanting to include variations in physics/aerodynamics due to bodykits... wholly possible, but they've got their work cut out then, since PSP's Veyron didn't have any noticeable differences with its spoiler/airbrake in its various settings. I do imagine that feature will come in time, very possibly in GT5 itself since it has a lot more room to play with these kinds of calculations than PSP.

When top FIA formulas start running stock-looking cars, some GT fans may have a point. Until that time, the real world races cars with race liveries in all major series.

Some people have seemingly started to look on GT likes it's the authority on everything and that extends to it being 'right' and the real world being 'wrong' to fit their narrow-minded view that what Kaz does is the de facto standard.

Yea. Style wise everyone is different and its nice to let people express that difference. As for body kits and aero, I'm intrigued by your point over GT PSP. I haven't played it. But if aero parts get damaged it should have an affect. That retractable Veyron wing should work in GT5. I hope. Which means if portrayed accurately PD has some work to do should they break into body kits. Or I suppose they could try some generic types.

That! :)

People have short term memory

Yamauchi also went over the modes in the GT5, and it's looking similar to what GT fans have come to expect from the series. As in previous games, the game will be split into Arcade and GT mode. In Arcade mode, you'll have a couple of different options — single-player race and split-screen two-player race. GT mode is where the majority of the players will spend their time. Players will have a world map to navigate around, their own garage to house their car collection, and dealerships and tuning shops to buy cars and parts. They'll also have championship race events and the ubiquitous licence tests. The tuning shop will be more than just internal parts — there will also be external bits like bumpers, sidesteps, rear wings and more.

Confirmed to be not probable. Big difference than "confirmed out".

"Probably" not does not equal "confirmed" one way or the other.

Therefore, the possibility still exists, though it's not probable.

/Confusion

It's either not the right time for it (speaking about GT5 as a whole).

Or it's going to be part of the TGS presentation.

Pick one, KY. Surprise me.👍

If spoiler customization is possible I would put this on my car for ultimate downforce:sly::sly::sly::sly:.

Interesting colour scheme on what I think is a Dodge Viper SRT-10
Factory?

Thats a Viper SRT-10 ACR, so the black is normal but the blue looks closest to "Viper Bright Blue Metallic", due to the rarity of ACR's and the amount of colour combos it's hard to find exact colour ACR pictures, there is a SRT-10 coupe

Just noticed something strange on GT5P there are a large amount of tunner and parts advertised on the boards above the start/finish lane, there are sparco, NGK and some others. I just don't understand why they are there as the track isn't real so PD have added these on their part.
