I don't think normal tires are all that bad, Racing tires are the ones I think are too expensive.Normal tyres are way too expensive
Looks like there are going to be less tuning options this time, several tyres are missing, iam hoping snow and gravel tyres are in another menu and there doesnt look to be any intermediate race tyres which doesnt bode well for weather.
Also engine tuning has been simplified, it looks like they have taken all the different areas engine balance etc. and just lumbered them in 3 different stages. Pretty disappointing to be honest I was really hoping for more in depth tuning features not less.
Surprised to see that the exhaust side has been fleshed out though, but that's probably because 'zorst' mods are easier for NFS idiots to recognize.

I think they already have - remember the tuned cars from Prologue? Also as another person said surely they can now show us a pic of a modified car.

TBH with the photos we've got, it seems it's just showing a more in depth GT Auto. Why would PD lose all of them tuning companies in GT4, when the majority of cars are coming from there eh ? ( think about it ).I really really really want in depth tuning, that goes further than all previous GT games, with a choice of drive train swaps from real tuning companies.Plus most of the other mechanical parts too, like prop' shafts, half shafts etc.Coil over shocks too, leaf springs ( plus other bits n bobs with this ), fibreglass/carbon fibre/GRP wings, doors, bonnet, boot lid, wheel arches, front/side/rear skirts etc.
Ford Racing blocks and the like, that could be fitted into a base model Mustang etc.
Are you guys presuming it won't even match forza's options?
I'm not too clues up on past GT customisation options.
Jay once told me engine swaps are in.
There are things you can do in GT4 that you still can't do in Forza, such as weight balancing your car. I'm not worried about the tuning and upgrade options. Everything in GT5 is being enhanced. Are you guys presuming it won't even match forza's options?

Credit to the Turn10 team that they've brought new ideas to the genre (Engine and Drivetrain swaps). Or taking ideas from other competitors and made them so much better (Livery Editor and Customisation for example).
While I'd agree that Turn 10 has introduced or fleshed out customization features not seen in other games, they do go past the realm of reality sometimes. The ability to fit large, high powered engines into cars that barely have the space to accommodate them is a good example.
Actually, they did nothing of the sort. Everything they did has been available in the tokyo extreme racer for years. Engine swaps, body kits, visible exhaust changes....
I was only referencing the engine (which I didn't know were in TXR), drivetrain swaps and the livery editor. Yes, console racers beforehand have had a livery editor but none of them have been as user friendly or produced such a large amount of user content as Forza's.
I'm not saying these features are perfectly executed or that Turn 10 necessarily implemented them first. As I said before, there are still glitches that need to be ironed out, but regardless T10 has made customization features like these the standard. Livery editors weren't commonplace before FM1, but they are now.
What's friendly about the FM3 livery editor? You have to make everything from scratch. Shapes, lines, letter, numbers. It wasn't easy either.
