i hope everyone (the mods at leats) that has had a look in the GTP Drift Forum now understands how this type of tuning threads dont work. The forum is filled with threads of people asking for tunes that have been in the tune threads for ages.

Locking them probably doesnt really help either. How can someone request a tune in the controller tune thread, if its locked.. (EDIT: ignore that bit)

But how could anyone find a tune if they are not placed in an OP. If someone had posted a tune on page 5 out of 30, no one is going to find it.

I've posted suggestions on how to organise the threads better, but if they dont want to hear it, thats fine by me. I'll just keep being irritaded by all the useless threads..

Sorry? I have locked the thread before to stop people asking for requests and mixing them with actual tunes.. recent post. I always ask how I am doing and I probably get like two people saying something is wrong. I gather 12 pages of requests/tunes into one post..IF you or any person has a problem, please let me know and I will see what I can do. The settings depot has been revamped twice already. The third time will include banners of each company and flagship car.

I'm really happy to see some wheel drifters here.
Here's a couple of my best tunes that are mostly for online drifting even though they work in the seasonal drift challenges.

Aston Martin DB7
weight reduction to stage 2 and engine tuned to around 525 PP.
Comfort Hard of course.

LSD:
35
60
40

Suspension:
0 0
8.4 7.4
4 4
4 4
4 4

Camber and toe:
0.5 0.2
0.0 0.20

Transmission:
top speed 137
Final 3.770

the reason for this gearing is to tighten up the ratios relation to each other. This allows shifting while drifting in some cases , yet requires a higher gear than some are used to. An example would be entering the big sweeper bottom turn at Suzuka in 4th or even 5th gear and downshifting to 3rd where it tightens at the end to start the run up the hill. I also started the Cote De Azure seasonal in 3rd and upshifted to 4th in the middle of the 1st corner.

No E brake needed for this one as it initiates with throttle with lots of smoke and yet is smooth enough to pulse second gear turnsaround Grand Valley.

I would also like to post my wheel drift mode setup for the Fanatec Carrera wheel.

Deadzone: 010
Lin. 030
Abs 000
Drift 005
FF 010
Sens 230

This makes it much less stressful when counter-steering to set the car in a drift .Do not use this for high grip racing.

I use a simple setup for high grip racing of:

Deadzone 000
Lin. 000
ABS 000
Drift 000 or (001 for cars with high grip weight)
FF 010 (or 020)
Sens 720 (or 730) *850~900 to cheat at Karting or FGT.

Amemiya RX7

Suspension:

16.9 15.6
6 6
6 6
3 3

Camber and toe.
0.8 0.5
0.00 0.15

LSD:
35
40
30 (Some of these settings were inspired by eXJaGGeD and Razorback 69's tunes for the DS3)

I have found the easiest car setup to drift with a wheel in the entire game. It's the 05 Mustang GT.

Suspension settings:
0 0
9.4 7.0
5 5
5 5
5 4

Camber and toe:
.5 .2
0 .20

LSD:
35
60
40

Brakes at 3/3

Tune for around 520~540PP and set the trans. top speed to 137 and drift in 3rd or 4th gear.

RX7 Spirit R Type A (FD) 02

Brief Description:

Fun and addictive to drift around any course your willing to find the "line" on. G27 or Controller can be used . I have been asked to join teams, gotten compliments online, asked to share settings etc. If you need a controllable drifter then don't expect this car to be it straight away (for most). It is however capable of close precision drifting (easy tandem after practice)

WARNING: Car is loose and may seem like it is uncontrollable at first ( even in a straight line if your new to this). Technique is to brake evenly to move weight to the front, then push back out (handbrake or clutch) on entry and feather/countersteer it,

Upgrades:

Everything in tune shop maxxed out except turbo (get stage 2 turbo)
Aero parts & oil change in GT Auto
Tyres comfort hard (but it can drift with up to SH tyres too)

Settings:

Downforce: 15 (rear)
Ballast amount: 5
Ballast Position: -50

Power Limiter: 504 bhp (turn to 100% if your not beginner)

Transmission: Max speed 316km/h

LSD: (top to bottom)10, 40 20 or 37,34,34 (try them both if your learning)

SUSPENSION (front / rear)

Camber: 3.9 / 0.0
Toe Angle: -0.06 / 0.70

Ride Height: -15 / -14
Spring Rate: 8.4 / 6.3
Dampers Ext: 5 / 5
Dampers Com: 5 / 5
Anti Roll: 4 / 3

Brakes: 8 / 3.9

Hope you enjoy it as much as i do. PSN: klevrah:tup:

My RX-7 GT-X FC '90

Change the Oil after purchassing.

The stock rims are by far the best rims available in the game. Do not bother changing them.

A wing is optional. The front extension, however, does you no favours visually and I strongly recommend against it.

If you are going to paint your car any colour other than white, black, or gold metallic; you might as well change your rims and paint them neon orange/pink/cyan/green to compliment your paint job.

Purchase:
Stage 3 weight reduction
carbon hood
chassis reinforcement
upgraded glass

Engine stage 3
ECU upgrade

Sports air intake manifold
Racing Filter

Sports exhaust manifold
Sports Cat.
Sports, semi racing, and racing exhaust pipes.

all 3 turbos ( but install the mid-range rpm )

All drivetrain upgrades.

Short-6 transmission

Full custom suspension

CH,CM,CS, SH, and dirt tires.

Now,

The Tuning Sheet !

Suspension:

Springs ( F / R )
3.6 / 3.6

Damper extension ( F / R )
8/8

Damper compression ( F / R )
9/9

Anti Roll ( F / R )
1/1

Allignment:

Camber ( F / R )
2.4 / .8

Toe ( F / R )
-36 / -08

Drivetrain:

Differential
Initial: 16
Accel: 32
Decel: 16

Engine:
Limit to around 300 horsepower.

Body:
I do not recommend downforce, so if you have a wing I suggest reducing it to 5.
I do not recommend increasing the weight, but if you want to have 50/50 or 52/48 weight distribution, add weight only to the very rear position.

I use comfort medium tires with this tune.

With comfort hard tires I decrease the spring rates to 3.2 and increase both the intial and accel values on the differential to 22/38 respectively.

When I use SH tires I increase the spring rate to 5.8 and I leave the drivetrain settins at 16/32/16

My universal setup works for me on most my cars.

lowest ride height.
hardest springs
lsd: 55/55/55
lowest/no downforce
dampers:front 1/10 rear 1/10
sways: front 2 rear 2
camber: front 3.5 rear 0
toe: front .20 rear .20
brakes: front 4 rear 2
tires: comfort hard

Thanks for the tunes! What force feedback level are you using guys? And how about Power-Assisted Steering, On or Off?

I use 1 with my fanatec wheel and power steering on, steering type is simulation. Works like a champ. If you are running a g25/7 or DFGT I would say use 4 or higher. Fanatec wheels have separate controls on the wheel itself so it can have 0 to 100% of FFB.👍

RX-7 Type R-S (FD, J) '95 (and other simular models)
AutumnRing.jpg

Description: This setup will have around 440-470 bhp* and is very fun to drift with. Also good for reverse entries using e-brake :) . Has been used with DFGT but is usuable with G25 and G27.

*the amount of bhp your RX-7 will actually have once you have finished setting it will depend on mileage, age and a couple of other factors.
