I don't think that's from GT, though.

i dont think its from anything in particular, just some mongy pic people use in advertising when they want to show a display doing something ***EXTREME***

While I have some doubts about the F2007 like picture, this one is less questionable:

Used full page in their printed catalog to promote their upcoming range of Bravias.

Capturing the 3d experience so well ;)

That certainly is compelling evidence.

Having just checked GT5:Prologue, that is indeed the F2007 with the yellow number 6 from the game, front wing assembly and grooved tyres. Only discrepancy, the camera mount in-game is yellow while the one in the email image is black. Sorry, not so hot on identifying mountain ranges...

Edit: Er, blonde moment. The yellow 6 I mentioned is of course the Shell logo. So the conclusion is the image doesn't say anything really.

...Walks off quietly and sits in the corner alone shaking backwards and forwards.

I hate that false 3Dtv screen pub in web or shop.

The object cant out from tv frame.
OMG. poor fake pub. It's not 3D Holographic TV, it's 3DTV juste 3DTV.

But i love to see 3D, it's so immersive.

exagerating advert to make a point ?!!!! thats revolutionary

I think he is making fun of the way the cars and other objects come out of the tv on 3d advertisements.

Its not that I'm asking about, read the part I bolded in my post.

Also to MANU56BZH, its called advertising, Stretching the truth in an effort to catch your eye (and possibly your wallet).

I think he didn't get it, and took it far too literally...........

Like RACECAR said, exaggerated images are part of advertising strategy.

Any words yet on how much Sony 3D tvs will cost? 32-50 inch ?

I was looking at the Amazon prices they varry from 1500 USD to 2000 USD for 40 plus inch, i found a Mitsubishi 60 inch 3dTV 1080p dlp for 1400 USD (rear projection tv)

So i think Sony one will be around the price of others, around 1300- 1700 USD for around 40 inch TV

Also anyone knows if they are waiting for E3 to show 3D tv prices or other show?

The lx900 is coming this summer so i expect the prices to be revealed in a keynote. Or in the confernce, the could present a bundle with a Sony Bravia, PS3 and some 3d games

But I keep thinking of United Front/San Diego and their work on ModNation Racers. Why do they interest me? Because they include in their game:
  • A livery editor with decals and vinyls locked down to the pixel, with some very sophisticated graphic techniques, rather like those in Forza 3.
  • They have the most amazing track creator ever.
  • The track creator has a sun which you can position in real time, and the world lighting and shading is "painted" in real time as you move the sun around.
  • One of the weapons turns a sunny sky dark and stormy for a brief time.
Then again... who's to say that UF/SD didn't get some pointers from Polyphony...

I don't know if this means anything necessarily, but it does make me wonder. Kaz seems particularly proud of his new baby, and seems as if he thinks it's so complete that it won't need DLC. Maybe goodies like a track creator will have to wait for GT6, and maybe that's where Kaz will head immediately after GT5 is released - and a nice long vacation for the company. ;)
What are the BIG surprises?? Just over five more days to see, tick tock tick tock... ;)

I agree with all of this.

I also think in order for GT5 to raise the bar, it must first reach the bar, (which FM3 has arguably set), with its livery editor.

Raising the bar from there is the fact that GT5 has nearly double FM3's cars (hence, the bar is raised). I can only imagine what big surprises are left to be revealed.

I agree that Modnation did a lot right.

It was just completely ruined by the load times they were shocking!

Its a real shame.

Yes it's that. It's false pub. Exaggerated 3D out tv frame for show 3D, and i really dont like this marketing point.

When Holographique 3D come out (in 2040 :)) i can agrea it.
But dont mind it's juste my vision of false 3D pub marketing. :sly:

I allready try 3D and i love that. but i love when the object come in front of us, not go far inside TV.

So you still don't get it do you? It's a rather obvious and comic attempt to create attention to the 3D experience by overstating the impact, you're probably the only one who seriously considers this a false representation ( ofcourse it's false, that's the point...... ).

With the 2010 LeMans Peugeot adverstising GT5 already (before official release date); we just may get that official release date at the E3; yay!

But no.

I just said that the advertising with the kinds of pictures go out screen frame is ridiculous.

It gives the impact but it's actually false advertising. The image leaves the screen and frame,
the unsuspecting consumer thinks that the subject walk in the room, while it remains in line with the vision of the viewer.
But it's okay it's just that I am pissed off. Especially since some screen displays the 3D depth and step out of the screen.

Dont mind.

Ahaha thk guys. :sly::lol:

It was just a joke. Come on.
But i really dont like this advertising...

I love 3D but i will wait half year before have it for GT5.
