I will cry if GT5's presentation will begin with Moon Over The Castle (same as japanese GT4 intro version)

Sony conference should start with it, all would know from 1'st second what is going on :) ( most epic racing game evar is here!)

I will cry if they dont anounce a release date :nervous:

But i think the lead up to this years E3 feels different, think last year we were thinking we would end up with something major, but all we got was the video. I cant quite put my finger on why i feel different this time around.

Ces, Ring, LeMans demos, gt5 singns, Q4 relese date from some sony guys, and yes the most telling Man Forizmo Jive !

Dude i`ll be fine when i see it in black and white or however they show the date. I`ll be happy with a black screen with GT5 logo and a release date.

^^ Same here, but revealing some cars and new tracks would be a nice addition.

You can bet your toes there will be a trailer.

Also, If it were just a black screen with a GT5 logo and a release date, I'd also be happy.

I wouldn't. If i had to choose between a trailer or a release date i would choose the first. But we will propably get both so there is no need to argue

I think we may agree that it depends on the release date.
If release date = July 2010, then I would be happy even with the black screen
If it is Fall 2010... well a trailer is really desired..

I'm worried the realease date will not be exact. For example they'll give something like "November 2010," which will cause me to become irate. Maybe "July 2010" would be OK. But other than that I don't care what happens.

I don't know, there's a difference between a release date and a release window.
I just hope they give a date;) and not just a "Fall 2010"

well july 2010 isnt going to happen, they need to do some marketing a good 3 months before the release

Well technically they have been doing some marketing. The Ring, now Lemans. Remember Sony (up until recently) have not really been very strong on their marketing.

They might toy with the crowd there like that. But if that's all and they try to move on, you know that there's going to be a riot from the people there. Not to mention on the board here.

No, there are too many unanswered questions with this game. At the very least, hundreds of thousands of us if not millions want to know how many tracks there are going to be. Variations and all, we'd just like to know that there are going to be a nice variety. With a NASCAR and WRC license, those fans are going to want to know how many proper courses there are going to be to race on. We expect a series of them. But knowing the Master, I fully expect a number of tracks for both to be included. It just makes common sense, even if some of them are fantasy tracks like El Capitain or Grindelwald. I'm way fine with that. 👍

What about damage, night racing, weather, time of day changes? What will Photo Mode be like, and will there be a Movie Maker? Race mod, livery editor, and dare I say it, a track editor? Will there be a Season or true Career Mode? What kind of online system will there be? Will there be tools to allow us to create car clubs and racing leagues?

Need I remind you that we don't even know if used cars will be included?

I love surprises as much as the next guy, but this has taken SO long to release that I want previews of things to come.

I wouldnt wirte off July as not going to happen. Im one of the few here that sees GT5 as a Summer release title rather than a winter release based on what Sony have in the pipeline and with the whole 3DTV promotion connection, Summer just seems it would be ideal for Sony.

If the game isnt released by September I will be surprised.
Seems I was right on the money about a "Motorstorm 3" being a highly possible title to arrive and today Motorstorm Apocalypse was announced. Looks incredible with 16 player online and many great customisation features.

One month will surely suffice 👍

Correct. This is not 2004. The 'Instantaneous Information-age' is alive and full stream. Word of mouth and cardboard/billboard/tv adverts were fine if you wanted to release in 30-60 days after. Nowadays if you advertise something, you better deliver within 2-3 weeks or you'll have to re-advertise again because people have MUCH shorter attention spans. (normal people that is. :) )

There was 4 million GT5Ps sold, over a million GT demo downloads in the UK ALONE. GT5 will do a hell of a lot better in the first week than most games (and move more consoles) regardless of how long they market for

Agreed. But in the worst case scenario (1% possibility), Kaz announces that the game gets released next year i wouldn't like to have a release date. Just a trailer much like last year. But i am 99% the game will be released this year. So i would like a release date, a trailer, a feature list and a long monologue by Mr Yamauchi.
Kevin Buttler will be at e3, so if he co-hosts the conference I would expect him to talk about Man Furismo Jive, the Real Jiving Simulator

The GTTV feature doesnt say its going to have NEW GT5 footage only that it wil be one of the games to feature on the show with others as well.
They are saying they will have exclusive KZ3 footage though...

If we get some info thats good but I really dont expect anything. I sure as heck dont expect GT5 to come out this year.
