E3 2010 without a release date doesn't make sense. It really has to be there. I'd be shocked if it weren't.
 
If Yamauchi doesn't have in mind to unveil the release date I suggest him to stay home, for his own good :sly:👍
 
Really weird knowing that in less than a week we will know when this game is releasing........yeah I'm gonna jump the gun and say a release date is a certainty at E3. We should hopefully also be seeing the head tracking feature, night racing and and extent to which the licenses are in the game. By that I mean how many Nascar tracks and circuits will be in the game and same for WRC or has that already been announced?

Also will be interesting to see when about Sony start talking about the game, my bet is that it will be the last thing they announce during their conference.

But I cannot wait for the E3 demo. I really think we will get to see tracks like El Capitan, Trial Mountain, and Midfield Raceway, all in their PS3 HD glory. :)

No big deal. Just trying to keep people focused for a few days more. But I'm also looking forward to a fictional track being the star of the E3 demo (though it seems a NASCAR track might get in its way.)

Nonetheless, we're in for some new footage. "Premium" damage should be in full effect. Oh baby!

I agree that Modnation did a lot right.

It was just completely ruined by the load times they were shocking!

You know, it's funny to realize how utterly and completely spoiled we all are by the above remarks. It does often seem that MNR takes a smoke break to load everything. It is a pretty big hiccup in the rhythm of the game. However, if you actually time the loads, it's around a minute. And I can understand why, as it's loading in a number of different assets, as well as the data for the tracks. Even the hubworld is built with similar tools as the track editor. And it can't be loaded "procedurally," or near stuff first as most racing games do it, since the track is given an overview prior to the race.

I do know that a lot of people are going to complain about load times if we do get a track creator in GT5. But consider what they'll be saying:

"Darn it, I hate waiting for the tracks to load... it takes a whole freaking MINUTE!" :lol:

I'm beginning to think this is going to be one of the big surprises. Less than five days and we'll see...

I'll be posting pics of the new cars once they arrive. Same with the tracks. If a whole bunch of random pics come through, I'll likely make a designated section. But I''ll adjust on the fly, as E3 may be too crazy for us to even imagine yet.

But to conclude, any new car or track that is shown, I'll find pics and post it next to its name. That's been my plan for a while now.

Great, seems like you will have a very busy E3. Man then I feel lucky, All I have to do is watch the Live Sony Press Conference, and then check out this thread for anything new related GT5.

Haha! Enjoy it. I'll be scanning this thread and the General thread for big news (and likely other sites). And then I'll be ready for the occasional new members and their threads about pointless (or maybe not) stuff. So I'll be busy. But it's all good. We'll rejoice as one.
 
I really hope we will get information about the premium cars. Are they the only ones with interior view? That would be horrific :X

I'm going to try and watch it live (about 7am Wednesday here) and will probley record it aswell put it up on youtube for anyone who missed it, but then theres probley a 1000 people who will do this for us already :)

There will probably be videos of highlights, or maybe even the whole thing from Sony's conference at E3 on Youtube by then.

Gamespot, IGN and many others will have it live, it should be up for watching (not live) shortly after. Sometimes it takes a little while though, should end up somewhere on youtube shortly after though.

Definitely Game Trailers will post full Conference videos after the Live event. So I bet by the time you get home they will have nice HD footage.

I think they should do what apple does. Apple posts the videos of their keynotes on the homepage of their site.

Would be great to go the the playstation website and watch it there.

I think they did something similar last year when the conference was broadcasted in Playstation Home.
