It is through Adhoc code, which means it takes a lot of work and programming knowledge, so I very much doubt it's getting added by me (I don't code) or anyone else.Is it possible to add a function of engine swap in the mod?

Might be easier to do this with a patch like in GT4 than through directly modding the game files, but I'm not really capable of either, sorry. Will it be possible to change the values to add a 360-degree rotating camera, like in Gran Turismo 4?
The difference between the original version of Gran Turismo 5 and the Evolution Mod are massive in terms of total available of race events available. From 54 in total on the base version with most of them being only single races to 69 in Evolution Mod with many of them being championship events. This sounds really great, please keep us updated!
If most of the changes are included, can you list which are not?
Not asking you to do this as it's your mod, but hypothetically, could you work around coding by piggy backing the race mod technique where it simply replaces the car you currently have in the game with a different car created with the swapped engine (and maybe drive train too)?Might be easier to do this with a patch like in GT4 than through directly modding the game files, but I'm not really capable of either, sorry.
Does the original game's code already include this car?Is there any possible to restore any other unused content?A new car has been added to the game, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX /Tuned, seen in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and restored from the GT5 UK 1609 QA build.
Yes, that would be possible, but it would come with some limitations. One car would only ever have one engine swap that would be pre-determined by me, and whatever car I chose for engine swaps wouldn't have an actual racing modification, so I'd have to choose between a racing modification or an engine swap, but functionally, it would be as simple as creating dupes of cars within the SpecDB with an engine swap and point them to the racing modification feature. It is not something I will do, as I've chosen the other direction of adding more racing modifications instead. Not asking you to do this as it's your mod, but hypothetically, could you work around coding by piggy backing the race mod technique where it simply replaces the car you currently have in the game with a different car created with the swapped engine (and maybe drive train too)?
From my understanding the race mod function is in principle just a simple swap mechanic, it removes the original car from your garage and adds the different race mod version of the car in.
No, this car is not included in Gran Turismo 5, it is completely new to the final game. It was possible to add it because its model was present in the GT5 UK 1609 QA build, a pre-release version of Gran Turismo 5 meant for quality assurance with lots of unfinished content. I believe there's nothing else to add that GT5 Evolution and the Master Mod haven't already added, as the model formats change a lot during development and any earlier demos or releases have incompatible model formats.Does the original game's code already include this car?Is there any possible to restore any other unused content?
No idea, but I don't see the reason to change it. Making it an option would be a lot of work, quite difficult. Is it possible to add standing start function to practice mode?
No, it is not possible to use the developer menu to reset the car's KM to 0.Just wondering, Erik, since I recall having seen you say that the debug menu would be available, is it possible to use it to change newly obtained used cars' KM/Miles to 0? This would help me keep track of my cars' distance (I have some obsession with car KM/Mileage) driven as I love to start with 0 to not struggle to remember.
Yep. GTR Concept LM was one of them that also has F1 style gearbox. It has 7-Speed gearbox. Some cars already have their specifications like their real models; it was always annoying that it seemed like they all had F1 transmissions.
In other words, the GT-R Concept LM's 7-speed gearbox is an automatic gearbox, known as the "Extroid-CVT".Yep. GTR Concept LM was one of them that also has F1 style gearbox. It has 7-Speed gearbox.
Maybe, depends on the challenge's goal. There are only so many event types in the game, so I'm limited by its possibilities. I did add a Top Gear Power Lap to the license tests using a similar car to real life though (more on that later). Is it possible to add challenges based on real Top Gear show content to the Top Gear special events?
True. Top Gear Power laps was a revolutionary feature on Top Gear shows. I remember a lot that The Stig ever lap the Top Gear Test Track on a Renault R26 F1 car in 56.386.Is it possible to add challenges based on real Top Gear show content to the Top Gear special events?
There is no release date yet. It will take a long time still, there's a lot of work remaining. When will the mod be released?
True, I should add some more lower level Endurances, thanks for the suggestion.hello, i have an idea on how to increase the endurance league to 12 events without it feeling too grindy/like clutter. what if the first three events in the endurance events were like a bridge between the ~20 minute extreme events and the shortest endurances that are like 2 hours long? like a few ~60 minute events - e.g. a high speed ring 60 minute race with economy cars. i think it would be cool to have something inbetween the extreme and endurance events - but of course it's just a suggestion! the mod is already looking spicy with all of the changes!
Like "Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Prototype Endurance Race Challenge" (3 hours Race at Apricot Hill Raceway or Fuji 1990s)? That could be so cool to add one of these Endurance race events like 60 minutes to 3 hours Endurances on GT5 evolution mods! 😉True, I should add some more lower level Endurances, thanks for the suggestion.
Nah, I'm good. I'll add an Endurance at High Speed Ring, one at Eiger Nordwand and one at Special Stage Route 5, all with slower cars and shorter lengths to serve as entry points in Endurance racing. You seem really interested in adding this event to a mod, you've asked it here and in Lunard's GT6 Career Mod, maybe you'll have more luck learning how to mod the game yourself and doing it on your own, there are guides in Nenkai's GT Modding Hub website.Like "Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Prototype Endurance Race Challenge" (3 hours Race at Apricot Hill Raceway or Fuji 1990s)? Yes because i am a diehard fan of both Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Gran Turismo as a whole! So adding this specific Endurance race onto Gran Turismo 5 evolution mods can be very revolutionary! 😉Nah, I'm good. Can the racing modification be applied to standard models?I have been working on expanding the racing modification feature, and the results are as follows: 290 cars can now be racing modified with 110 unique outcomes (the discrepancy comes from all the dupes the game has). This feature was very underutilised in the vanilla game, with only 17 cars being racing moddable.
You gotta keep your fantasies in check for these types of mods please. And as Erik said, you can mod it in yourself.Like "Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Prototype Endurance Race Challenge" (3 hours Race at Apricot Hill Raceway or Fuji 1990s)? I hope, if these Endurances are modded in, if possible, could have day-to-night time lapse. I recall having seen that you added a time-lapse to High Speed Ring and Eiger Nordwand.Nah, I'm good. I'll add an Endurance at High Speed Ring, one at Eiger Nordwand and one at Special Stage Route 5, all with slower cars and shorter lengths to serve as entry points in Endurance racing.
Nice to hear that! Are there other courses that have the day-to-night cycle? If so, I feel like they also deserve lower level endurance races. If there ever is the technology for it and if you can, will you be able to make even the PS2/PSP tracks have the day-to-night cycle?Nah, I'm good.
