I agree. However, for the FTO Super Touring Car, it is a completely different and separate car from the FTO LM that appeared in GT3, same goes to the RX-7 LM even though it shares the same name in GT4-GT6 as in GT3 (in GT3 it has a different body, power, weight, and even dimensions from its later GT4-GT6 appearances). Not sure if having the performance of their predecessors could even work here.

On the other hand though, the S2000 LM, Impreza Super Touring Car (formerly known as Impreza LM), and Altezza Touring Car (formerly known as Altezza LM), are the exact same cars as the ones that appeared in GT3, but with their power nerfed (and going from Turbo to NA and 6-speed to 5-speed in the Altezza LM's case) and two of their names changed from LM to Super Touring Car and Touring Car. So I'm all for them having their exact GT3 specs in GT5 Evolution.

If only it was possible to port car models from GT3/GTC/GT4P/GT4 to GT5, we would have the original FTO LM and RX-7 LM (would be '00 or something) being ported into GT5 Evolution alongside their successors as separate cars.
good point about the rx-7 and fto, i didn't really think of that. i guess we'll see what is done with these lm cars!

Is it possible to put all vehicles in the same category, without separating them by premium and standard?
It would probably require a big undertaking of the way the game deals with Premium/Standard cars, beyond my ability, but I don't really see the point in doing that either way, don't see what that changes in the experience.

given how you're going for a more gt3 style for this mod with the tight economy, have you thought about bringing the lm cars back to their glory days? cars like the s2000, rx-7, fto, impreza and altezza were legends in gt3, and then got nerfed massively in gt4. i think it'd be a really nice homage to gt3, and give the mod a little more personality. and hey - more possible opponents for the gt5 dream car championship, which again would be a nice nod towards gt3!
I prefer maintaining the current performance level as it lets me use them in a wider range of events. For example, the Polyphony Digital Cup is now focused on Touring Cars with 540 PP maximum. Cars like the S2000, Integra, Altezza and others fit in perfectly, while some of the more powerful ones such as the RX-7, RX-8 and some others fit in Dream Car Championship as I tuned them.

Yes. On Gran Turismo 3, the dream car championship was 7-Race championship on both Amateur and Professional leagues. On Amateur, 5 laps per race (7 laps on final race), whilst on Professional, 15 laps on each of the 7 rounds.

I think extending the Dream car championship on Gran Turismo 5 Evolution Mod to 7 races like on Gran Turismo 3, may work perfectly.
Dream Car Championship remains a 5 Race event, the main hooks of it are the car limitations (only original PDI race cars are allowed) and the tracks (they're all randomised course maker tracks). There are other Championships in the late game with more than 5 races.

yeah that's understandable, it's good to have variety across the entire game. thanks for considering!

hey there, great work on all these updates! you could say the gt5 evolution mod has... evolved ;) just a quick little question: will the a-spec version of the mod be compatible with the future b-spec version? i'm asking this because gt5+ has placeholder events which will then allow for smooth progression after the actual events are added. you could potentially do the menu block thing where we can't access the b-spec menu, so that we don't see the placeholders. overall, i'm super excited and happy you're making sure we don't have any trouble at launch! that's all for now, have a lovely day <33

I'm no longer going to add B-Spec post release, it'll come with the initial launch of GT5 Evolution instead. I rather keep working on all features of the mod now and release it finished than make post-launch updates.

ah, noted! well this makes things a lot easier! taking into account the career and one-make events, that'll for sure be a lot of races, i'm looking forward to this!

Hello,

I would love for the mod to have something like event synthetizer in gt4 spec ii. This extends the playtime by a lot. Arcade mode in my opinion is useless as it doesnt reward anything for the time... Thank you for the mod and looking forward to the realease!

Hello! I would love to add an event synthesizer like GT4 Spec II as it is a great feature, but I do not have the required knowledge to do so myself, it's a pretty advanced coding job and I'm not a programmer.

I'd love to work with programmers for this mod to make more ideas possible. I already got in touch with one programmer, but he's really busy with real life and has very little time despite being interested in helping.
I agree with the idea of finding some like-minded people to help you. Who knows what it could bring! ;)

Does this mod allows creating custom race like Nenkai did to Master Mod?
And other question, does this enables B-Spec mode to custom races or A-spec Exclusive only?
The race editor is still in Gran Turismo 5 Evolution. No changes to it have been made, however, so its functionality remains the same as the Master Mod (and I never use it so I don't know what it can or can't do).

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a pleasant weekend. I have a quick question: is there a way to activate the fuel consumption and tire wear across all races, a spec, b spec?
Hello! This is the Gran Turismo 5 Evolution Mod thread, not for general GT5 discussion, but there is no way without modding the game. Gran Turismo 5 Evolution enables both across all races.

Now THIS is a game changer in my opinion!! Argh, I wish this was a staple for the series... Would this be possible in the future, Erik?
Yes! I'm already working on the cameras as we speak, the loose camera isn't achieved by modding but rather through patching, so that's not on me to enable/disable, but the chase camera position will be changed in GT5 Evolution to make it lower and closer to the cars.
