Ill want to be working out where everything is so that when I am playing the game I know where to go to dow what I want to do.

I'm confused, that makes no sense. The picture shows "Standard issue wheels cannot be painted." Otherwise known as the stock wheels on a car. Same video, wheels icon says "Wheels cannot be changed on Standard Model cars."

Basically saying Premiums can have different wheels with different colors and the standards are stuck with whatever color and wheel they have from factory.

wait what? I don't understand.

It said standard cars cannot have their wheels swapped. . . So what do you mean?

Btw, it seems certain rim types may have an affect on performance.
 
Damn, that sucks that you cant change the wheels on a standard car. That means you probably cant do anything else to it either that is visual apart from painting it a different colour. That is a bit of a waste of the ~800 standard cars potential and their re-play value.

lol true but I meant the car model. It is exactly like GT4. They did not touch the model at all just put higher res textures. If i had a few hours with that model i would definitely make it look better than that (I'm a 3D artist so i know what I'm talking about)

Ahhh my only hope at this point is for DLCs to add more premium cars to the game

In truth we haven't really seen anything we didn't already know about to see to ruin any surprise.

In fact the only surprise people are likely to get now are disappointments from features, cars and tracks they'd hoped or expected to included not being included.
 
Aww man, doesnt look like the look of this part of the game has changed at all. I was really hoping you could do all this stuff in a realistic looking garage set up. I mean come on, how cool would it be to actually drive your cars from their parking spot in your garage / warehouse over to the maintenance area. I know this aint GTA but being able to control your driver getting in and out of your line up of whips would add a lot of realism. Instead we get rolled out the old floating car in a white background again. I love this game not only for its awesome race simulation but also for it's homage to a car collection and having some new look front end for all that would have been awesome. I still hope the garage represents itself with all your collection together. The cars look so mean when you see them all lined up next to each other, you can really appreciate their individual styling and dimensions better when they play off each other.
This isnt a gripe about how good the rest of this game will be though.

Maybe these features are locked because Sony took measures against the possibility of people getting a leaked copy and a day-one patch will fully unlock the game for legit buyers?

Sony/Media Molecule delayed LBP2 to make sure it wouldn't need "day-one" patches.

You're forgetting GT5P: there was a huge patch with update content by the time of its European/US launch, plus several other ones along the way. I'm sure GT5 won't be different.
 
I hope that standard cars somehow can have the option of putting custom wheels on them cause there are 800 of them an if I cant put some on BMW Csl or a Supra ect ect then in my eyes this is huge let down. That means I only have 220,250 (premuim) or so cars that I can put wheels on, 5years of dev an no custom wheels on standard cars gotta say that sucks don't get me wrong I am still going to purchase the game but thats a huge step back for me at least. Photo mode not gonna be the same with standard cars damn.
 
One of the earlier video posting guys was posting on ps3trophies.org and said Sony contacted him, asked him to stop with any spoilers... It sounds like Sony reached this guy too...

I don't imagine they are being threatened but perhaps being incentivized in some way to not "spoil" what Sony intended to be a surprise when we all buy it...

Someone else will pop up tomorrow... maybe... though I don't know if there are more than 2-3 people in total putting up these vids for the past few days...

I wonder how much GTPlanet would have paid for the exclusive videos.
They get games early but they aren't entrepreneurs.
 
They should just release the game already i hope they release it next week because at game stop they told me that most possible release date was before the 20 if Sony gives them the OK.

Because PD and Sony had no clue what they were doing with the Gran Turismo-series.
 
so I was working all day today and wasn't able to see all the latest videos. Does someone have them saved and if you do upload them to youtube? Thanks! Everyone knows once something is on the internet there is no way of taking it down. Also, maybe this will hurry sony up in getting the damn game out sometime this year!!!
