Gran Turismo 6 Soundtrack/Music Wishlist

As long as its not some God awful pile of junk - which is pretty regular in some genres nowadays - I'm pretty relaxed on what they choose.

I'd prefer an eclectic mix of multiple genres that actually work with driving generally, and in driving games too. Personally, I wouldn't mind the usual Rock mix with a bit of Progressive Electronic music mixed in, and maybe a bit more Indie music too. If it was something that really wouldn't fit, for example psychedelic variations of Dubstep & Metal, Mainstream Rap, or pretty much most Mainstream Pop music, oh dear.

But alas, the inclusion of using your own BGM would be handy. :)

Yes to bold, no to italics (would be repetitive.)

I can't imagine hearing the same song every time I win. I'd be tired of hearing the entire "we are the champions," since I'm already sick of the song.

Anyways, I haven't heard Orpheus-Ash, since Burnout 3: Takedown was a new game. And, since I don't ever play arcade racing games anymore, that's obviously a long time ago. :dopey:
 
If GT6 has the feature of adding your own music, I reckon this won't be that of a concern. But then again, Jpop/kpop etc. would be a cool addition :)
 
I have just one music request- "Moon Over the Castle" as the opening theme. You don't have to make me relate to my international region by featuring some American band or artist. "Moon Over the Castle" has been the GT theme for the longest. You don't hear some other theme when James Bond walks from the right to the center and fires during the opening of James Bond movies, do you? Sure- there are individual themes for each movie, but the James Bond theme remains the same. So should Gran Turismo games.

Just because some 5th Grade class at Who-Cares Elementary would revolt if GT5 didn't have My Chemical Romance open up GT5 doesn't mean you have to pander to such an audience. Even if GT6's opening is some wicked awesome Daiki Kasho jam, "Moon Over the Castle" is the only music request I have. Add all the other great music you want to add. When it comes to racing, the only soundtrack I care to listen to are cars at speed, the crowd cheering, the rain falling, the public address announcer who doesn't know what the hell he/she is talking about... and stuff like that. And if I do prefer other music, I'd either put in my own or make up some tracker music of mine to play when I get tired of the in-game soundtrack.

All songs from the K-DST station from San Andreas, all AC/DC songs, some Rolling Stones, Top Gear Theme Song (Jessica) and more songs like these (Rock and Roll, Driving Music). Maybe if it was done so certain types of music would/wouldn't be played when driving certain cars e.g. when I'm driving a muscle car I would hate to have some dubstep, instead I'd rather Rock and Roll and opposite if I was driving a JDM car.
 
As far as music goes I would like the option to be able to play my own music.

I do however like all the jazz and piano tunes they put in. More of that would be welcome.

As for my most recent ideas:



The awesome bit of this song, and with basically any other edIT (see what he did there?) song, is that there's basically always some drum beat. It makes it awesome going through Eau Rouge at full throttle, feeling like you're doing the impossible every single lap.



Sorta the same feeling GoPro was aiming for.

Uh, what? This is a music wishlist. I don't care what they put in because if I can put my own music in it will be superior for me.

What that has to do with GT5 in a GT6 thread is beyond me. If I wanted GT5 I wouldn't be posting in the GT6 forums. I want a new game with the ability to play my own music.

No matter how great a soundtrack they put into a game, nothing can compare with a players personal customized soundtrack. Because the player gets to pick all the songs.

So all the posts containing huge lists of songs that will probably never make it into a game they can listen to by making their own playlist.

I would cry if they put that lot on there. PD would never stoop so low as to put the terrible FIFA 13 soundtrack on a game. Seriously.
 
Any type of Eurobeat. But they should also fix the custom music issues to be able to play no matter the format its in.
