I really hope so, but at this point it seems otherwise. You'd think they would announce "more tracks supported" in custom race.

I'm starting to think that custom mode will be left as is. Let's see!!

Yes, it makes logical sense that if they have the Sophy support in the power pack, it would lead to support in the base game. I'm just saying that we won't know until it happens.

Fuji support for Sophy 2.1 isn't mentionned in the changelog. That would be surprising if it was available tomorrow for custom races.

It’s been a good while since SOPHY been added to circuits. I hope it won’t be long if SOPHY hasn’t learned YM and CGV.

Fuji support for Sophy 2.1 isn't mentionned in the changelog. That would be surprising if it was available tomorrow for custom races.

What I said is that Fuji is part of the power pack. We don't know if custom mode has any updates.

Booted up the game, but haven't touched anything. I want hurry with racing and get at those gift cars to see if I can use them in Custom Races.

Yeah. Worst case scenario, those tracks will be implemented eventually. From the trailer we can see Tokyo (different layouts), Watkins, Daytona, Fuji, Nurburgring tourist, aside from the dirt ones.

Not gonna lie, I absolutely hate rally in GT, and was a bit disappointed with all the emphasis they put on that.


Edit: just realized that the trailer only shows Daytona oval. I hope they have a race using the full layout too.

Based on past history, it will likely only be the oval, but that will be a welcome change of pace.

At the very begining, it's the third track that appears. Also, it had been revealed during the initial announcement, a month or so ago.

I'm guessing no new settings for custom races either and no Sophy 3.0 (I don't even know if we can distinguish between the 2 since PD didn't say what 3.0 brings over 2.1 version).

The F3500-A (V12) & F3500-B (V8) can now use the Espace V10, so it is mostly possible to recreate an early 90s F1 grid with all the different engine options.

Wouldn’t implementing mandatory stops - now possible in lobbies - just be a matter of a few lines of code for Custom Race too? I’m disappointed it’s not there.

Why is it a hoax? It has said all along that Sophy 3 is in the DLC and nothing for the main game. We simply hoped for it.

The DLC has standing starts and the different Sophy cars race each other more. It's definitely a change. It's just unfortunate that the base game doesn't get these improvements....YET

I meant that we didn't see much improvement at the time I posted that. Since then we have learn Sophy now runs in slight rain in slick tyres. I haven't seen it run in inters or wets.

FYI, in case people missed it, the F3500 A and F3500 B can swap engines with each other and they can both get the Renault v10 from the Espace.

So all cars can have the 3500A V12
The Renault V10
and the 3500B V8

F1 races will be much better

SOPHY drives very well. When SOPHY is on a hot lap, I let it by. Really cool in the sessions before the race.
