This just came across the wire on my YouTube.com account algorithm. Even shows a very short clip of GT7. I wonder if this is Sony slowly forcing the hand of people into new consoles. Makes sense. PS5’s are easily obtainable now. Especially now that Sony will be offering PS5 only accessories here shortly.

It’s about time if you ask me

Nope, I won't be selling my PS4 hardware. I need the controllers for my PSTV.
All this talk of Sophy. Once it becomes self aware, we're gonna have to send Ryan Cooper back in time....
Good thing the DeLorean is right here. All we need now is a schematic of how to build the time circuits and Mr Fusion with 2023 parts.
Y'know, I'd be happy to pay credits to the people who spend so much time on their meticulous liveries when I'm too lazy to make even a simple one myself (which is 99% of the time). There are probably a good number of players out there like me so even pricing these liveries at 1000 credits would be nice compensation and incentive to keep creating.
I've done a small number of custom liveries. All but two are shared. One of those will get shared when I fix the logo for a radio shop in South Dakota called BTech. The other will be shared next Wednesday after the Nations Cup is over, or Tuesday if I know ahead of time I won't be able to enter it.
I have a few five minute liveries and some in depth ones. I try to keep it to brands I use or at least interact with, this includes Auto Plus in the game.

With a system like that you could technically sell your credits to someone else for real money. And I'm fairly certain that after the experience PD have made with GT5, any kind of system that involves transferring credits, cars or other assets to other players will never be coming back to the Gran Turismo franchise.
Or a system like Forza's where passive income is generated for each time somebody uses your livery in a race.

Shouldn't be too hard to do for an always online game...

I don't know man it's kind of a two way street in some ways. I won't get into the semantics on it all, but the decals I uploaded aren't even mine, I found them for free on a site that hosts free-to-use public domain vectors. I upload them not for myself but because I think other people might like having them in the game to use on their own liveries. I don't think people like me should be paid for simply uploading other peoples works.
That’s kind of where I’m getting at.

Trust, I understand about creating a livery from one’s imagination and being offered credits and/or creating even a replica for another player. As far as this community, there are heaps of requests for decals. Many providers may be happy to help gtp members, but for the time they set aside to do it, again, may be mere seconds depending on decal, if a member wants to gift credits, why not? That’s if we’re going to be offering credits to anyone.

The V12 LMR and GT-ONE assuming the 1999 version would probably be Gr.1, while the 1998 versions of both cars would be Gr.2.

I don't know enough about the GT-ONE to know what differences it had in 1998 from 1999 but in 1998 the CLK-LM had the fastest qualifying time with the GT-ONE right behind it. The GT1-98 Porsche was not far behind the GT-ONE. So I believe if the 1998 spec was to be included it would be Gr.2 while the 1999 spec would be Gr.1.

The 1999 GT-ONE was atleast 5 seconds faster during qualifying in 1999 so the 1999 version is definitely faster while the 1998 version seemed to be around the same pace as the other 1998 spec GT1 cars.

According to this the F1 GTR is quite slow when compared to the rest of the 1998 GT1 grid, I bring this up because on the topic of Gr.2 GT1 cars the F1 GTR is pretty fast against the CLK-LM in GT7 despite it pretty much being ragdolled by both CLK racecars in FIA races:

The ‘98 & ‘99 GT-ONE’s are technically identical. They just had a year’s car & tyre development.

In ‘98 development of the F1 GTR had ended. While it wouldn’t have been on the ultimate pace of the GT-ONE & CLK-LM, it would have been closer, if support had continued.

With modern tyres and BoP, it’s pretty simple to put many different era cars on a similar one lap pace. Where modern cars excel is with consistency, race pace & reliability. Which isn’t reflected in any sim.

The problem with that is that people might make visually low-effort liveries just to make money, especially with "like-for-likes" cliques like ICRT/SDRT going around.

I haven't purchased the VR yet but that GT video definitely has me sold on it, that showroom looks really cool and the VR looks very immersive.
Looks like I should probably save up for another $549.99 so I can Forzavista cars in GT7's VR showroom, particularly in both Brand Central and Hagerty.

So, according to the video above there are now 21 total cars on track, as he says “20 AI cars on track”. Is this correct?

I think it's pretty obviously a misspeak, meaning 20 cars total instead of 20 AI cars.
Oh, me personally, I wouldn't know if it's obvious. Maybe with that mentioned FR, PD found a way to add another car than with normal flat screen play. Something like how they found a way use PSVR in the whole game and the showroom feature. Now that PSVR is exclusive to PS5. But, no bother. 20 cars it is.

Sure but is that really much of a problem? The Showcase is 99% low effort liveries as it is.

A bit of supplementary credit income won't break the game's economy.

Has anyone came across with Gran Turismo 7 disc on PS5 and start the game up and PS5 shut off automatically?

I also put in a different game disc in ps5 and it does not shut off the system.

I still don't understand the stupid Invitation thing...
Waiting for months for Ferrari's Invitation. Instead I keep getting Pagani's, yesterday it was the 4th.
🤬 🤬 🤬
The one car I always wanted to try out is the Carrera GT. Ignoring its existence is the best way to keep enjoying this crap.

I never understood the point of this and still don't. Why do they do this?

Kaz said in an interview that monthly updates aren't to be counted on. They must've taken a long holiday and will probably say something next week or so.
