The tickets/invite discourse in the previous page(s) makes me think about invitations as Extra Book prizes, by the way...
 
Does anyone know if any new weather conditions or available time of day settings have been added to an existing track after it launched?

Given the first round of the next Manu Cup series is absent of details says otherwise, you do you though.

I will check after the update next week but as far as I'm aware there hasn't been any changes to any existing layouts
 
above all else, please just give us endurance races. The lack of them is pathetic.

Sure I've created my own custom endurance races, but racing for an hour on the highest difficulty level and only winning 65-100k (if CRB) credits is 100% complete hot steaming doo doo.

Could be... or Apricot Hill... or the Nurburgring layouts... I just watched a video from a Spanish YouTuber who thinks that a new track would be added in this update as the TBC track.

I don't even know what sort of Nurburgring layouts could be added at this point. We already have the GP, Nordschleife, and the 24h layout. Isn't that all there is? I suppose we could see historical layouts like the Sudschleife, but...

EDIT: You know what? I just went on the Wikipedia page for the Nurburgring, and discovered some modern layouts we could see - namely the Sprint Circuit, Mullenbach Circuit, and the Rallycross Circuit. The first two appear to be smaller parts of the GP circuit, so that could be good for races featuring stuff like kei cars.

The Sprint Circuit and Type V variant are the two layouts rumored to be coming soon. These two layouts were previously in GT5 and 6 by default, but got cut for Sport.

We will likely see the Nurburgring short layout.

Of all possible options, if any are to become reality in the next update, the most evidence for addition would be the 2 extra Nürburgring layouts as there was youtube footage posted by a dataminer of the layouts in use.

After that there's nothing with substantial evidence, so it becomes a guessing game.
Going by real world races that are happening in the same month, as has been an occasional trend with circuits such as Watkins Glen being added around the time of the 6 Hours, then Sebring would be a decent candidate for March as WEC & IMSA are having a double-header there.

This method doesn't factor in PD original circuits, as they obviously don't have real world events take place on them, so that's a big unknown in terms of release predictions.

But yeah, currently the Nürburgring extra layouts are the only ones with decent evidence. That does NOT make them a guarantee, nor does it make it impossible for another circuit to be added first. Also it doesn't guarantee that a circuit will be added at all for this update.

Only Polyphony (and possibly dataminers that aren't in a position to leak the information they have) know for certain.
For the rest of us, we'll just have to wait and see. Expect nothing, and you'll either at least not be disappointed, or maybe be pleasantly surprised.

No idea. I don't think anyone besides PD themselves would know that, as with any real world circuit not in the game. I recall licensing being an ongoing issue with Silverstone (regarding the price I believe), but that's about it.

Sebring just happens to be the missing piece of the 4-Round IMSA "Michelin Endurance Cup", with the others being Daytona, Watkins Glen & Road Atlanta. This is what I believe is one of the main causes for its speculation (also the bumps would be a cool haptics showcase for the DualSense controller).

What I can say with a decent amount of certainty is that they do have the license to use their own original circuits lol

Until someone "revolutionises gameplay" by inventing the basement. Coming soon - races that lose you money based on where you finish. The lower you finish, the more you lose, and quitting or dropping is equivalent to last.

Not the greatest example, as Nenkai pointed out that race was supposed to be on one of the shorter NGP layouts. They ended up not adding them so it was put on the full Nordschleife instead. The custom vs WC payout would likely be in line with other events if it was on the intended track.

Yeah that's the worst move PD has made, 25,000 for 2 laps of the long Nordschleife. I won't do it because it's too much work/effort for a small itty-bitty payout.

You're missing out. If you can bring yourself to stop thinking of payout, it's a great little race. I've used many of the classics cars to run it - favourite is the Ferrari Daytona. One of the first events I'll do if/when I get the PS VR2.
