Variety, it's a longer track but a lot of people really enjoy racing on it. Spa is great too, but there would be no reason to be stuck grinding that.

Just don't pass the finish line in the 59th minute.

Ah yes, smart thinking. I have this same issue in WTC700 at Le Mans with a few great cars. But since AI is nowhere near, I just start waiting on last lap or last 2-3 laps, to make sure I don't spend an additional 4 minutes driving. And also many times I fuel save heavily to do 4 laps, and then fuel save much less to do 3 laps on second stint, so I would not have enough fuel left anyway for lap 8 🤷

I did not know it was possible to get this to go to 8 laps, which cars do that, I presume Gr2/Gr1's with heavy PP reduction?

When I do my 'farm's for LeMans I usually manage to get 6 laps each time because game always decides it will give a heavy rain burst but when it doesn't I find it's impossible to go slow enough to only do 6 laps without Portilla or the guy in the Lamborghini whose name I forgot that always somehow comes from the back and manages to pass me if I sit on the last lap so I have to just accept a 7 lap race.

Just curious with you mentioning that a Lap 8 is possible.

For reference I always use the Silvia Gr4, if I do it with any other car the first three AI always seem to take 3-4 laps to catch whereas that one I get them on 1 lap. :)

You need to drive fast enough and avoid wet weather completely, occassionally you get a run like this, with some cars. I've managed to complete sub 30 min 7 lap runs for WTC700 Le Mans with a detuned 917K and a heavily modified BRZ with an engine swap. Even with 2 stops you can get to an 8th lap with that monster BRZ. Haven't driven it in a while though, but I think it has something crazy like 800-900 hp or so 😁 I think I haven't driven under 30 min the 7 laps with any gr4 or detuned gr3 car, those cars lack the top end. I think possibly my McLaren F1 (road car) and Diablo could do under 30 minutes too 🤔

He means to run 7 laps under 30 minutes. This is possible.

Well yeah 7 laps is the normal amount unless it heavy rains and you can take a over 2 minute lead and which you can just coast on lap 5 and 6 to avoid a lap 7 I do all the time.

Yes, seven laps is a normal amount to complete by the end of the 30-minute race, but the post you quoted is about completing seven laps in under 30 minutes, therefore being able to start an eighth lap.

Pretty cool that they remade Grand Valley as a track based on California's Pacific Coast Highway (aka Highway 1).

This update is insane, the best one hands down!!! I just hope they also improved FFB, lobbies and added new endurance missions and I will be super excited :)

Why did they renamed Grand Valley as Grand Valley Highway 1? I hope it does include both Grand Valley East and Speedway layouts versions?

A superb looking update, the return of a revamped Grand Valley, and a very solid group of cars. The RA272 is a pleasant surprise to me, nice to have another 60s era Honda GP car again, as the last example I remember was the the RA273 on F1 Championship Edition/F1 2006. All-in-all, can't wait! :D.

Grand Valley looks a lot different, as one would probably suspect.

And Sophy in the game? That was really unexpected. But hopefully it can finally make the AI not only competitive, but smart.

So far, so good.

Please, just please give me a decent chunk of events (with good payouts as well) to play. Endurances... Menu Books with Championships.


PS: This is probably the most horrendous VGT so far. That thing is absolutely hideous.

EDIT: Oh, so Sophy is only an experiment until the end of March... bummer.

The new Grand Valley seems amazing, but i'll miss the "small JGTC racing track" vibes that it always gave me.

By the sounds of it Grand Valley has been completely reworked and I have a feeling that it won't actually resemble the track layout of old.

This might be controversial, but I think Grand Valley Highway looks cooler than the OG Speedway. Miss those dreamlike road circuits GT would have before Sport (eg Matterhorn, Tahiti Circuit)...

Agreed it looks great! But it looks like they have absolutely butchered the original! They could have at least added it under a different name! 😞
