I don't think this is an especially bold prediction, but I think that the next set of recommended styles will be a combination of the cars added in this update, and cars that got new engine swaps. So my guesses would be the Porsche and Citroen, plus the R33, R34, Supra (A80), and the '96 version of the S14. Whereas I've rarely seen VGTs in the recommended styles tab, and I don't think the Honda GP racer had many variants - though I could see some users trying to use other GP racer liveries from the time, like those from Lotus or something.

It is a very early "Night" setting, but there are a few stars visible. Spare a thought for Lago Maggiore East and West, Monza, Brands Hatch, Fuji, Goodwood, Nürburgring GP, Sardegna Road, Spa-with-short-pitlane and Horse Thief Mile; they don't even get to "Twilight" in Custom Race.

In other news, we're halfway there! Four out of eight of what I'd call the "core" GT Originals. Much as I love Red Rock, Tahiti, Seattle, Rome* and R246, these were the only tracks besides Laguna Seca to appear on PlayStations 1, 2 and 3.

*Circuito di Roma from GT5/6 is not my Rome! :D It is adjacent to it though, I'd gladly welcome old goose-shaped Rome Circuit, Rome West (5/6), Rome Combined and a layout like Rome-Night.

Suposing these remaining circuits will appear in GT7, I don't have the slightest clue what PD will do with these tracings.

Of all of them, perhaps IMO, the only one that would deserve a new theme was Special Stage Route 5 and 11. Since GT7 is full of Tokyo Expressway layouts, it would be interesting for SSR5 to be moved to Los Angeles or São Paulo. Or, in the worst case scenario, be transformed into a racetrack, in a permanent circuit. I don't know.

As for others, perhaps Apricot Hill is located in Turkey, the world's largest apricot producer.

I would bet Autumn Ring and Midfield Raceway are located in Japan or South Korea.

And I think Red Rock Valley will return, because of the datamined leak. It is probably the only circuit that will not change location, as "Red Rock" only exists in Nevada.

Those tracks don't appear to be set in Japan in previous games. Although the location is never officially confirmed, landmarks and road signs on the tracks in some games indicate that they are set in Europe and indicate nothing significant in other games.

Interesting note, one of the (newely added & hidden) songs that can play in the pre-race menu on the new Grand Valley events heavily features a Citroen DS! I assume that's why it was chosen for this update :)

Am I the only getting really bad gameplay lag in online lobbies whenever someone enters or leaves the pits? It used to be a small annoyance but it's starting to make playing online near impossible.
 
Anyone have any tips on car/strategy for the 24 Minutes of Le Mans challenge? I've tried it a couple times now, but have yet to get first.

Last time I used the 787b. Started on RM's and pitted just before the rain started for wets, then as soon as the rain stopped (I think it was lap 5) I switched back to RM's. I should probably go for racing softs instead, but maybe I need to try a different car?

The Honda RA272 with a turbo and a racing trans is basically a cheat code for that race. Stick with racing hards in the dry and depending on how hard the rain is, go between inters or wets.

About the next update, do you guys think:

1. Early march with a big and/or special 1 year anniversary update
2. Early march with a normal update
3. Late march with a big 1 and/or special 1 year anniversary update
4. Late march with a normal update.
5. No update at all!
 
maybe I am a bit stupid...but when was last time they went for group C, Lmp1 , IMSA old prototypes or any other similar class of cars update " exclude gr010 " ???

Late March with normal update, why? because even the 25th anniversary for the whole series was pretty much just a normal update! If any update was going to be special it would have surely been that one!!
 
I dont think we will be getting any ''special'' update in March, we will be getting just a regular update at the end of March...
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the trial run of Sophy receives an update in the next few weeks.

Just a speed tweak is what I'm anticipating, due to the huge gap between the Expert and 1v1 levels. Something halfway between the two would suit many, including myself, very-well I'm bettin'.

Autumn Hill is DEFINITELY somewhere in Montana USA, Midfield Raceway seems pretty European so probably somewhere in Central Europe, Apricot Hill is more Japanese than ramen, and RRV is very obviously somewhere on the Mexican border.
 
I don't think there's much point speculating where the tracks are going to be anymore hahaha - they already put Nessie in America, Deep Forest in a country that banned racing; and now turned Grand Valley into a Californian Highway.
Anything goes.

As well then we have this post, which indicates that Red Rock Valley is next Original track that will come in GT7. Short list of upcoming cars is pretty accurate as well

These references are nothing but test entries (their internal codes start with a 't' prefix, as opposed to 'c') with no data at all, they are absolutely meaningless for most part as they may be for simply testing their tooling. There's a similar situation where they have updated GT2 models to their newest model format compatible with GT7 for testing their pipeline.

You have to thank the very same person on this forum who shares that information around, with the minimum knowledge of putting data into context. As it stands I could post the course name list which has the entire GT5 and GT6 track names in it. Would anyone believe that they will all be coming? Unfortunately yes.

I wish everyone would stop taking it as absolute gospel.
