If Red Rock Valley comes, it is one of the tracks I hope they keep as close to the original as they possibly can.
Same locale, same general layout. It really was a perfect high-speed track as is.

These references are nothing but test entries (their internal codes start with a 't' prefix, as opposed to 'c') with no data at all, they are absolutely meaningless for most part as they may be for simply testing their tooling. There's a similar situation where they have updated GT2 models to their newest model format compatible with GT7 for testing their pipeline.

You have to thank the very same person on this forum who shares that information around, with the minimum knowledge of putting data into context. As it stands I could post the course name list which has the entire GT5 and GT6 track names in it. Would anyone believe that they will all be coming? Unfortunately yes.

I wish everyone would stop taking it as absolute gospel.
Still, we got almost all tracks in first quoted post.

Second one, I know it's a database from GTS, so it's not very credible...but I wish these would come into the game one day.

Thanks for the info nonetheless, but since we have no roadmap on GT7's future. I can only speculate on these "phantom" posts to be fair and dream of future complete GT7 game.

These references can be called anything, but there is a material truth. The truth is that this supposedly datamined list pointed Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Grand Valley, High Speed Ring, Deep Forest and Trial Mountain for the possible future of the franchise, and all of this was confirmed in GT7, fitting like a glove.

I don't know what the nature of this list is, but predicting Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen and confirming them in the first year of GT7 is evidence that this list is reliable.

It's no exaggeration to say that just as new Nurb layouts may appear, Red Rock Valley and Cape Ring may also return. After all, the circuits are on the list that is proving to be credible.

You'd think some of these things below will appear (I have some screenshots from a legit source but I cannot share them here):

Cars:
Porsche 918 spyder 13'
Pontiac GTO The Judge 69'
Lancer EVO IX 06'
Bugatti Chiron 16'
BMW M2 18'
Nissan GT-R Skyline 84' & 87'
Ford Cosworth Sierra 87'
McLaren F1 car 88'

Tracks:
Red Rock Valley
Grand Valley
Watkins Glen
Road Atlanta

Hold on to your hats. More content will appear, i including tracks. Maybe not at the rate many were expecting/hoping at though.

A rather wide list of tracks, and a few out of them coming out, I wouldn't have guessed

The public never knows at what state anything is and what they are working on, these lists were already more than a year outdated from when they were released due to the nature of how said data can be obtained (on-top of being a pool of everything mixed together, i'm so excited to drive on test_snow_oval personally). It's further proven that as far as i'm aware both of these tracks were just about entirely unreferenced in GT7 until they made a surprise release.

"Highly requested originals" =/= credible.

It's painful how misleading this has become over the years. But it's not surprising considering they were the only one person dumping lumps of text data onto this forum and other places and unable to put the pieces together properly. They're the same person who claimed that GT7 will be coming on PC, only because they've seen the letters "PC" once written somewhere with again, no context.

Controller vibration on the DS4 is almost non-existent after the update. Kerbstones are hardly felt and same for applying the brakes. This takes a lot of joy out of the driving experience.

Not that PD ever has a theme for their updates but Red Rock Valley would be a good time to reintroduce NASCAR. Banking + American location = NASCAR in my mind so that's my reasoning.

They already have Banking and America, but there’s no GT7 version of the Daytona 500.

3 new tracks all in the US is enough anyway. Let’s show the rest of the world some love.

love the new cars & track etc etc................but you know its coming 🌝 I'm gonna moan, (only a bit) It great running the new Honda 272, especially in a custom race, with various settings & of course all the same car, yep, 16 x 272 's going round Indy style is fab at Daytona, BUT ! cant PD get the liveries to be different, it really spoils "The Show" I cant afford to buy another 15 😐

Oh yeah, we know that! 🙃

That sucks, in GT Sport the controller feedback was really dull, only vibrating when the back slipped out, but it didn’t kick in as soon as GT6, where you felt a lot of what was going on. It may be like that again, hope they change it back. I’ve not tried GT7 on the PS4 but I assumed the vibration was better than Sport (before this update).

I wish but high licence fee making it impossible for the most
yeah i seem to recall them wanting a pile of money to host F1 a few years back, yet without such a prestigious event such as F1 you`d think their status would take a hit, and you`d also think they'd want to be in the best driving game, ....odd way of business, but probably that's why I'm not a millionaire, I quite fancy Becketts - Hanger straight & of course Copse where if you get the chance, maybe nudge the odd Flemish fledgling into the barrier. if only to watch his Team manager spit his dummy out 🌝

Quoting this post since this option was added with update 1.29. Its almost like pd saw my post.:)
Being totally honest here - although this is a valuable step forward - that's still insufficient.

edit: I mean... I could completely set up my HUD on Little Big Planet Karting on PS3...

At this point I wouldn't like them "changing" the original tracks. I'd vote for real world licence tracks from now on.

Actually what I'd really like would be the removal of boost and rubber banding from create race mode. A qualifying session for create race mode. Multi class timing and scoring for a max of four classes for create race mode.

To be fair on them, Red Rock Valley is basically so ancient there’s no way they could simply “recreate” it and have it accurate to the original, so I wouldn’t mind some creative liberties being taken.

I do agree somewhat on real circuits though. For me I’d love more vintage circuits, I feel it’s something GT has always lacked.

The Walruses on Grand Valley's beach look like 360.

Saw how to see the ufo but anyone seen a Bigfoot around the highway?

There's two sophy threads but the main issue is that PD have spoken about scalability of Sophy for months but there's no evidence for this in the testing that this update is supposedly providing. There's no grid starts outside the 1v1 either - what's the point?

The only variance in Sophy's difficulty is either by the car it pilots or the tyres the car has, while the difficulty for the player is adjusted by the tyres that are on the player car.

Without adjustability, Sophy isn't a sustainable solution for the GT AI.
This is certainly the greatest hurdle for Sophy. Dynamic decision making instead of focused on one particular task and excelling at it.

If they saw that I hope they'll see that we would like to turn off parts of the HUD that are not relevant to most tracks or driving (American tracks and wet meter) or the ability to remove the assist icons when we don't use assists. Forcing wet meter off would be great for online races as well.

@Eggstor Did you track LCD price changes for this update yet?
There were none. I will note that unlike the end-of-April/May/August update notes, which mentioned that Hagerty's prices would be adjusted in the May/August/November updates, the November update notes (as well as the December update notes) did not mention that the Hagerty's prices would be adjusted in February.

yet without such a prestigious event such as F1 you`d think their status would take a hit
Its a **** venue whatever the series, F1 and WEC just about work but every other event is better at one of the UK's other circuits. It would be a travesty to prioritise its inclusion over literally any other venue in the UK.

Anyone know what this 3 icons are? (I put a number next to each one) I know the ones on the right but not those 3 other then ABS.

#1 is the emergency brake icon.
#2 is the auto-brake icon, I believe.
#3 is the auto-steer icon.

All of this is easily explained in the in-game manual, which is easier to access than taking a screenshot and posting a picture here.

I didn't even know there was a in-game manual and its not a problem for me to take a screenshot and post it here, since I'm more then allow to and I'm not breaking the AUP in doing so.
