Finally tried the RA272 at WTC700 Le Mans yesterday. That was a scary experience.
It is not that bad at Tokyo WTC600, since tire wear on sports hards is somewhat tame. But yeah Le Mans with worn rear tires, I spun myself 2-3 times when the rears died 😅 Tough with the high tire wear there, car is very fast though and good fuel consumption so an easy win even on hardest difficulty.

It's not even worn tires. The thing struggles at braking from high speed, I guess because of the lack of downforce. I get anxiety everytime at Mulsanne straight approaching the chicanes and the final corner.

Wow wow wow I just tried motion control and I'm blown way by how responsive it is. Did 1 lap with 0 hitting the wall or going off track.

I have 2 question anyone else use motion control to steer rather then the left stick and how long did it take to get use to it?

For those that have a wheel but can also use motion control is motion control like driving with a wheel?

No, not at all. A wheel provides more than just a way to steer - you also get force feedback from the car that tells you what it's doing, and the pedals give you a completely different experience in throttle/brake control than the triggers do. You're also planted unlike motion controls.

It's closer to a Mario Kart Wii Wheel form of steering than it is using a sim wheel. Not that it's a bad thing, the experience just doesn't really translate.

Try this tune:

Try adjusting the brake balance towards the front, -5 helps cut out a good chunk of it. Not completely, it still dances a bit under braking, but it’s more stable for sure.

It felt awkward the first day. Pretty good the next few days and then it just evolved to feel like second nature.

I’m still without a PS5 so now I’m gonna miss the birthday bonus 2 years in a row (launch was the day after). 😢
You should get the birthday car if you log in anytime a week +/- your actual birthday. I got mine a week before.

I don’t think I’ll be able to get a PS5 in that time nor be able to visit my friend who has the PS5 with my GT7 profile on it. :(

My PS4 has kinda been optimized and maximized with things I don’t really want to delete at this point, so I’m not really interested in getting the PS4 version.

It’s a slight bummer but in the grand scheme of things not that big of a deal, I haven’t had access to GT7 since I moved in early August.

Wait so you're complaining about missing the birthday bonus car in a game that you don't even own?

You could also just have your friend with your GT7 profile log in under that profile to claim the car....

Really hoping we get a new city/street circuit this year to give some more variety.
Technically circuits like Grand Valley, Alsace, Trial Mountain etc use public roads, (even if Alsace is more like the Millbrook Proving Ground's Alpine Circuit) but it's not the same as having a circuit in an urban environment.
Tokyo Expressway is the best we've got right now, but even then that's more of a highway than street circuit.

What I'd like to see is a more traditional street circuit in the style of e.g. Long Beach, Adelaide, Rome Circuit etc.
Even if it's a brand new PD original, I'd be very interested to see what they could come up with, and where it would be set.

It’s my anniversary edition disk copy of the game that I was sharing with my housemate who owned the PS5 (who we also shared with two other housemates), he never purchased a new copy of the game for himself, and we aren’t available till Sebring weekend to hang out.

Regardless as I said in my post it’s not that big of a deal, just a slight bummer.

Just set up a multi-class race at LeMans after seeing SuperGT do it.

Didn´t even know you could do that.

Q: I was driving a Group 3 car. The Group 1 cars pulled away as you would expect, but never lapped me on the hardest difficulty over the course of 10 laps.
Should I have deactivated BOP for the race? Would BOP try to align Group 1 and Group 3 and thereby make Group 1 slower?

No. LeMans is quite a big track and you need longer race to make them lap you.
Also try Boost on Weak it feels better and Group 1 cars should lap you faster.

Driving the slower class in multiclass races breaks the AI a bit, as the front runners (the faster class) drive a ton slower so you can "keep up" (which you never will as they're in a faster class).

Often, the slower class gets hit by the same slowdown too; so you end up in a no mans land where you're miles behind the faster cars, and miles ahead of your own class because they are all slowed down too.

SuperGT drove the Gr.1 car and started lapping the Gr. 3 cars on lap 5 I think (together with the other AI Gr. 1 cars).
So that´s not it.

I think @Nebuc72 is right.

Bummer. Hoping for real multi-class racing in GT7´s future.

Does anyone know of a good BAC Mono tune for the Trial Mountain 1h Human Comedy race? I've tried searching here and Reddit but everything I've tried is from before the big physics update and doesn't work very well.

Try it on smaller track like High Speed Ring then (it's a blast as WEC racetrack by the way) and you will see that group 1 cars will definately lap you :) Offcourse set them on Hard and with Boost set on Weak. This boost setting actually works like no boost and AI perform better with it.

I completed all Menu Books 1-46. That's as high as it will go up to. Now my next goal is to collect every car to clear the extra menu books.
