Last year there were rumors that the Playstation Porsche 911 993 GT2 '97 (FIA GT2) was digitized. Now comes this provocation from the opponent of the 911 FIA GT2. I hope the FIA GT2 legend champion Chrysler Viper Oreca GTS-R returns one day!

That's a 993 GT2 EVO, apparently, in the #60 Larbre Compétition livery. Despite the name, it was actually an FIA GT1 car in the same vein as the 1995 McLaren F1 GTR that we already have.

Yes and no. Raced at the beginning of GT1 when it was called the BPR Global Series, until 1996. From the year 1997, the 993 made up the GT2 roster.

This livery was used at Le Mans in 1997, when the 993 won the GT2 category. The car was also used in GT2 until 1999, being a competitor to the Storm and Viper.

Probably won't do any driving today, since I think the DST bug prevents me from getting a ticket. But I'm definitely looking forward to next week's Daily Race A, which features the 2008 Fiat 500 at the High Speed Ring - sounds fun to me.

I believe the "bug" is retroactive, and you wont get a ticket until you've done a workout for the day you've missed.

E.g, if you play a week from now - I still think you'll have an extra day before you get a daily ticket. Could be wrong though.

I received my ticket today. Other people also have had no "bug".

I noticed today that the Ferrari 500 Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe actually has the paint peeling in certain areas of the model. Are there any other cars in the game that have damage or paint peeling as well? It's fun to look at cars with some imperfections in VR.
It’s because it’s not fully restored, the owner kept it in its original condition if I remember correctly.
But I haven’t discovered others yet, maybe the Porsche 550 Spyder because this one is also still in its factory paint (and the only 550 overall in the world which has its factory paint still).

I think I once heard that if you drive a car long enough - like, improbably long - it starts to irreversibly degrade, insofar that not even visiting GT Auto would restore it. Is this really true? I don't think it is, but I wanted to make sure.

If a Lister Storm is reintroduced, I hope that PD finally gets the stats right, the previous version of the race car was ~250KG too heavy in past GT's. Absolutely kneecapped it.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was too heavy again. There are many cars in the game with wildly inaccurate weights. Almost every Ferrari model is hundreds of pounds too light. The C8 Corvette is as well (though oddly the C7 is spot on). There's more, but I'm not going to bother listing them out.

It is. Permanent degradation is a thing in GT7 for both the chassis and the engine.

Depending on the car, it can start around 18k-20k kms driven.

What if you buy it from the UCD/LCD? Does the distance logged on the car when you buy it count into that?

Wait so you're complaining about missing the birthday bonus car in a game that you don't even own?

You could also just have your friend with your GT7 profile log in under that profile to claim the car....
gotta have everything possible for doing as little as possible! if not, complain about it..!! 🤣

It was the GT2 version in previous games, not the GT2 which I want to go with the McLaren and Mercedes. It was late though so quite a bit faster than them.

Speaking of Porsche racecars, if the Porsche licence was available 1 game earlier with GT6, we would've 99% had this in the game.

It's the Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR that won the 2011 Nürburgring 24 Hours. This would have filled the gap of N24 winners being in the game:

2010: BMW M3 GT
2011: Porsche 911 GT3 RSR
2012: Audi R8 LMS Ultra

Of those 3, only the BMW is in the latest game, and was brought back originally in the Fuji Speedway update of GT Sport. Only difference is it has the #1 of the reigning champion, as it was the 2011 livery.

Hopefully that generation of Audi R8 GT3 car comes back too. It's the one that they have a road car version of in-game already, plus I remember it being the only R8 GT3 on GT6 that wasn't a death trap to drive.

Any new cool Group 3 and 4 cars I can try in Sport mode? I have to choose wisely of what to buy as I have limited credits and I don't want to waste a lot on tuning and designs.

I hope it drops on the 23rd. Been saving a duplicate parts ticket that expires on the 29th, so I wanna be able to reroll it with the update.

I do hope we will be spared the silly 'March update predictions' thread this month
Here you are
