No not yet, I still cannot access gran-turismo.com and log in to my account, I live on east coast US
 
Probably unrelated, but on Saturday I was installing updates after missing the last three patches, and the game randomly decided that I needed to insert the data disc and copy over v1.00 of the game before it would apply the latest update and let me play.
 
Anyone else still experiencing blips in Sport mode? I can join and do qualifying laps but when the timer counts down an error occurs and I get kicked out before race start. I also experience blips on the home screen from time to time saying that connection to psn is lost.

Knock-on effects from the AWS outage this morning.
 
It's not just Gran Turismo. My other go to game is Atari 50. I enjoyed it enough in PS5 to take it in the go, that meant getting it for the Switch. Nintendo eShop wasn't working. I had trouble with several other online services also and stopped by to see if the outage is still going.
Outage or not I spent most of the day on the back of my electric bike.

I saw the post above where a user required the data disc to apply patches. I have the opposite problem. I went to purchase GT7 as a digital download and got an error since I have it on disc with the 25th Anniversary Edition. Nothing happened until a couple months later GT7 stopped requiring the disc. I was never charged for the digital download. I don't pirate games at all. I tried a second time to pay for the download to no avail.

I prefer to keep physical media on the shelf of all my games. In many cases the digital versions are low cost as it is. Almost anything I have a download of I have a physical copy of as well, thus why I'm out searching for a physical Atari 50 Switch card

It's a lot of assumptions and guesses but could the desire of Chinese car manufacturers to promote their cars accelerate the development of cars for Gran Turismo? I assume it's easier to license the cars, and they're probably willing to share CAD files and other car data with PD so that their car reaches potential buyers.

If I did a fresh install of GT7 on an account that's never played it before, would I be able to boot into the game before the updates finish installing and play Offline Mode on version 1.00?

It depends on which version you have on the disc. In offline mode, you can only play music rally (and arcade?) regardless of the version.

Yeah I'm just wondering if I'd be able to boot into Arcade mode and see how the physics have changed. I do own the disc version.
