BUT, I think they should add it.
Then you'll be wanting to post (or, if already posted, vote for) it here:

As that's where car suggestions go.
May I provide some feedback on the GTP car suggestions forum and share an idea for how it could be improved?

Current challenges:
  1. Users currently have unlimited votes for cars, which makes it difficult to see clear preferences.
  2. There’s no time limitation – votes cast several years ago carry the same weight as recent ones.
  3. It’s unclear whether the community systematically updates/reviews the entire list before voting (I would not do that)
  4. It’s hard to know how actively the community engages with the suggestions forum. It would be helpful to have data on the number of visitors, votes cast, and threads viewed, compared to activity in other subforums.
  5. Overall, the current system can feel complicated and unwieldy
Proposed improvement:

I suggest introducing a moderated polling system with limited time frames and pre-selected options, for example:
  • Week 1: What type of car should be introduced? (e.g., race car, road car)
  • Week 2: Which region? (e.g., American, Asian, European)
  • Week 3: Which brand? (only those available in GT7)
  • Week 4: Which specific model, or which era should be prioritized first
This sequential approach could be further optimized (not saying the idea above is perfect) but the main idea is to create a structured poll system that builds on the results from previous weeks.

Result would be something like a „GTP car suggestion of the month“.

Just an idea, feel free to delete the post (or i will do so) if this does not belong here. I dont know where else this could be discussed.

Yeah my main issue is that starting a new post is pointless because it gets overshadowed by legacy votes from years ago (GT6 era). This is especially an issue for content that was in the game at the time of the forum's peak in activity, but no longer features in the current game, such as a track post I made a while ago for Indianapolis which had no reason for someone to make back in 2014-ish.

It would make more sense to have a new Suggestions Forum at the start of each individual game's lifecycle, or even before the game releases, rather than just for "Gran Turismo" in general that goes on indefinitely with no relevancy reset.
Maybe more people would start using it again, and Polyphony would have more up-to-date info assuming they still check it.

I would also argue that the subforum would get much more use if it were placed higher up in the forum list, rather than tucked away at the very bottom so that you would have no idea it existed until it got linked in a different thread as a gotcha.

The most voted cars in that subforum mean absolutely nothing because they're what people wanted in 2014, not today. The 296 GT3, supposedly one of the most requested cars for this game, was 200+ pages down with only 10 votes last time I checked. That doesn't happen unless literally nobody is using the subforum compared to its peak.

That's more my point - it's not that I find the cars in this new list hard to believe, it's more that I find it hard to believe the 296 GT3 and FTO and Mine's GT-R aren't in the data by now considering we've seen them run in-engine and presumably people will be using them in the LA test build. So it makes me doubt the veracity of any fresh list that doesn't have them.
There is a mention of "mines" in one of the memory dump which dealt with manufacturer strings, which points towards the Mine's GT-R.

I'd say put it in the GT7 forum along with the leagues/tuning/liveries subforums, personally. I think a lot more people come to the GT7 forum specifically rather than going through the navigation so I think it'd be more visible there.

I'd agree with the above posts that I'd like to see what the suggestions forum would look like with a fresh start, for what it's worth. Might remove some of the wishlisting from this thread or the update threads.

I’m with you all guys. Long story short, the Suggestions forum needs a massive overhaul. I imagine it’s no easy task to do so, but it’ll be worth the effort especially considering the size and power of GTPlanet for the Gran Turismo community and the fact there’s evidence PD reads it.

Users need to do their part, anyway. If a brand new Suggestions section comes to life, don’t treat it as a race for likes and upvotes. If done correctly, that would be an insanely powerful tool, not a playground to see who gets more reactions.

I’m not opposed to change. I find the Suggestions forum works fine as is. If there’s a car that people are wishing for, Search for it. Copy the link and post in whatever thread to bring attention to it. I mean, it gets pointed out every time.
Doesn’t take much to look in the Gran Turismo forum and scroll below Gran Turismo 1 to see Suggestions. I understand that it’s not as active as all other forums and why some would want it moved, but it’s not like it’s inconvenient. Especially for the many that know it’s there and choose not to engage with the Suggestions forum, but post cars everywhere else.

Hitting the Sort by Likes most likely shows which cars would be more popular if members did become more active in the forum.

I completely agree, but i think there sould be 3 "winners" Example:
Week1: What types of cars should be introduced? The 3 categories that carry the most votes at the end of the poll go throught to W2
Week2: Choose the region: Car 1 -? Car 2 -? Car 3 -?
Week3: Brand and model for category of car, in the case of Special Tuning, SEMA cars will be prioritized.

Oh mad, the FIA are using Gran Turismo again?
A bit of a shame that this is happening before Spec III & Yas Marina are in the game, given it's a MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region event. Would've be a cool fit for it.
Who knows, Polyphony might let them have it early since it's after the upcoming GT World Tour, where Spec III content is set to be previewed.

Not sure but the website has this image but I think it’s been manipulated/photoshopped rather than in game shot as the cars are slightly off in perspective

What track is that photo supposed to be on? Silverstone? I'd have a hard time believing that.

On a side note, new post by GT on Twitter promoting the upcoming Fan Fest.
