Care to explain what the "280 D '25" and "HS Vision GT" are?

In the automotive world, "HS" isn't a common acronym, so here's my crazy theory. HS could stand for Hispano-Suiza, a prestigious and historic Spanish manufacturer of luxury cars. Renowned for its high-end vehicles in the early 20th century, especially during the pre-war period, Hispano-Suiza was a direct competitor to brands like Bugatti.

After a long hiatus following the Spanish Civil War and World War II, the brand was reborn in 2019 with the unveiling of the "Carmen," a prototype of a handcrafted electric hypercar (rather tacky, in my opinion). While many prototypes of this type fade into obscurity without much fanfare, Hispano-Suiza maintains a relatively strong presence in the luxury car world. Its historic models are frequently exhibited at events like the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and the "Carmen" itself made its debut during Monterey Car Week. Since Yamauchi is a regular at Pebble Beach, it's plausible that the current owners of the brand, a family group with ties to the luxury sector, could have contacted the Polyphony team.

Reborn twice, in fact.

At the same motor show.

I think only the Carmen people exist now, with the Maguari people declaring bankruptcy in 2022.

The big picture is those are the New Zealand Blues union colors! That ties with this weekend’s New Zealand Hampton Downs GT International featuring GT3 and GT4 cars. Since we’re getting a new Gr.3 car in the 296 GT3, we’ll highly likely be seeing another FIA GT car.
Hamptons Downs Motorsport Park is owned by Tony Quinn. He runs a Supra GT4 Evo 2 and just purchased a Mustang GT3. Not to mention he is part owner of V8 Supercars team Red Bull Ampol Racing.

Who is updating the gran turismo wiki?? VOLT??🤣🤣🤣

I find it hard to believe any datamine that doesn't have any of the four known Spec III cars (or even the SU7 Ultra), personally.

Is similar to the data that was presented on the datamine thread where several of the cars on there took over 2 years to come to the game (some are not even released yet)

Yes, but the big datamine also had the Escudo and Ford Roadster from the (at the time) next update, and the 918 and Skyline Silhouette from the update after that, and the MP4/4, GTO Judge and Cayman from the next one, and so on...

That's more my point - it's not that I find the cars in this new list hard to believe, it's more that I find it hard to believe the 296 GT3 and FTO and Mine's GT-R aren't in the data by now considering we've seen them run in-engine and presumably people will be using them in the LA test build. So it makes me doubt the veracity of any fresh list that doesn't have them.

Yeah we're at a point where well over half of the cars from that list of 80 have been added (the Renault Avantime being the latest addition, added 2 updates ago). Hard to dispute its credibility, and we are still seeing cars from that list be added, even if it's taking years.
However it's clearly not a complete list of all the cars in development. Just a segment of it, as most of the cars we see in updates aren't there. It's perhaps closer to 1/3 or 1/4 of the full list at a rough guess.

Also there are still some cases within that credible list which are less likely to be arriving in-game, even if models have been made, such as with the 7 Lotus cars due to current licensing.
  • eagle_type122_09 (Evora codename. Was also playable in the GT Sport Closed Beta)
  • elise_11 (GT6 premium)
  • elise_96 (GT6 premium)
  • esprit_v8_02 (GT6 premium)
  • europa_special_72 (GT6 premium)
  • evora_gt3m_xx (fictional Evora Gr.3, hence year is "xx")
  • evora_gt4m_xx (fictional Evora Gr.4, hence year is "xx")
I still hope one day that we'll be able to have a Lotus & a Porsche race against each other in a GT game. Seems we're only allowed to have one brand at a time lol.

I think its highly possible that we get to see the other 4 cars at la event next weekend maybe more of the features that will be coming to spec lll as well. I dont think every feature was revealed in september, i think their could be more to come.

It's already been confirmed we will see all the content of the Spec III update at the event.

As in "all" all, or just a curated section?
If it's the latter then it might just be made up of the stuff we've already seen.
e.g. a kiosk mode playable at the event, featuring the 4 cars and the 2 tracks, and not the other 4 cars.

"In addition there’s four mystery cars yet to be announced, whose identities will probably be revealed on social media within 90 seconds of the doors opening, and a bunch of new features that will include a raised level cap and a permanent form of Brand Invitations — though it’s unlikely anyone will be playing long enough to experience either in LA."

From the GT Planet post. But maybe there will be some hidden things, but probably not the main content of the update

Man, what happened to having all of the circuit logos in the livery editor default decal library, like it was on GT Sport.
Polyphony still seems able to use them, just not the players.

Could've been a neat bonus prize unlock for completing Circuit Experience with bronze or better, like they used to with the track map outline decals...
Where did those go too actually?

View attachment 1489097Yo, I heard they’re adding this next update
Source?

Seems unlikely, as PD tends to preview new brands more extensively and with more fanfare, and Blue Bird hasn't had a vehicle in the series before.

Besides, this would be a more appropriate vehicle for some contributors...

So... One week left and there's still no word on what music artists and panelists are going to be at the Fan Fest?

Weird.

Rear engine. Rear wheel drive. If you squint hard enough (until your eyes start to bleed) it almost looks like a Porsche 911. It's a kinda-sort of TEMU Porsche. Vroom Vroom.
Plus, the bus having two doors and six-cylinders. Yup, that’s straight up PD’s alley for vehicles to include.
