Here's a fun one from the Gran Turismo Twitter account.

Wouldn't it be nice for that 12.4 miles to be a drivable location...
We've already got the fictional dirt track at Colorado Springs, the town that the real route starts from. Could even make it an extra layout for that location, so you'd have:
  • Colorado Springs: Lake
  • Colorado Springs: Pikes Peak Hillclimb
The track also sits at #1 on the Track Suggestions forum (956 votes at the time of posting), though whether that would still be the case if the forum was started fresh from today is unknown.

This isn't how licensing works; if Pikes Peak were to come to the game, it is absolutely going to be its own separate location.

Get this, I'm into Motorsport BECAUSE OF Gran Turismo. Additionally, everything I know about Motorsport is gleaned from Gran Turismo. I have an unbalanced opinion of Japanese sports cars from the 90s because of Gran Turismo.

Basically I'm a filthy casual.

Same, I‘ve always been into cars but Gran Turismo 4 introduced me to things like JGTC / Super GT and V8 Supercars. I had never heard of these racing leagues before when I played the game at 13 years old but immediately liked them (mostly because of the cars‘ designs and liveries lol).

And just like you, the Gran Turismo games made me a fan of JDM sports cars, especially the Honda NSX, Nissan Skyline & Mazda RX-7.

We like motorsports, but we like more road cars, it is the core of the franchise, for example I am good with getting race cars, but I like even more when they add roads cars (specially daily commute or "meme" cars) because from sim/simcade perspective (and with the premature death of Forza Motorsport) is only GT7 (or Assetto if you have a decent PC) the only games where I can take and drive "seriously" (meaning the physics and tuning options) road cars.

That car was never in any playable build or showcase(at least for public), it was simply added for one in-engine cutscene. But who knows if it drops in the game one day.
 
I'd be a bit hesistant to jump straight to that concept coming to the retail game. There's nothing in the GT7 footage there that would confirm it - no car model, no car name.

Honestly, PD might have done something really smart here and made a special "trade expo mode" - goes straight into the driving, locked to bumper cam, no replays (so they don't have to model a car). Then they just plug in car physics data and manufacturers can use it in elaborate rigs like this one.
 
I very much doubt this, the Lexus Sport Concept, is coming any time soon. This is likely just a demo mode for events like this.
It would maybe make a decent competitor for the Mission X though, if only they weren't Gr.X.

Instead, the Lexus "LFR" is (probably) more likely to be coming. At least that has a GR badge...

I've not seen anything about Polestar confirmed either; it's the brand I spoke to (CEO and one of the lead PRs at head office) over COVID as part of a job I was doing for ZHG's internal newsletter, and when the subject of gaming came up and the appearance of the 1 as the NFSH cover car the position at the time was that it was really a one-off opportunity. Being the hero car appealed, but there was little appetite to be just a brand lost in a big list of them in a toybox-type game.

Of course a lot changes in five years, but it's never been one I've been particularly confident would appear. Still, if it does, it really does rehighlight the point that (outside of Stellantis, which has a single PR team for everything except Maserati) each brand under a large parent corp typically manages its own PR, so folks can keep on hoping for Lotus and seeing it as a sign, but their other hand will probably fill up faster.

So...
  • Polestar 5 '26.
  • (Fiat) Panda 30 CL '85, which was already expected.
  • 280 D '25, which is... something. First thought it was the Mustang but can't be that. The only thing that came up was a Renault truck.
  • HS Vision GT '25.... whatever "HS" is.



I very much doubt these leaks, since the Polestar is a very recent car and the other entries make little to no sense, but I guess we will see...
Safe to say that even if these leaks are real (which I doubt), doesn't mean we will see these cars any time soon.
