I really like the chase view of the Xiaomi SU7! It's easier for me to see what's ahead and it kind of reminds me of Gran Turismo 1's chase cam's Field of Vision which was higher and looked somewhat more downwards.

Came across an odd glitch. The new Ultra SU7 finished a good ten seconds behind me, but the game timings suggested it actually finished half a second ahead of me.

Made me giggle thinking that the car was added to the game with a propaganda clause, that it would never lose 😂

Thinking about the past DLC packs, I'm not convinced yet that this year will automatically include a series of modern race cars. I need to wait for one more update before thinking that.

With that said, it would be kinda funny (and probably annoy some fans) if they decided to even include road versions to complement the GT3 cars. Like one update includes a Ford Mustang GT3 for instance and the Mustang Dark Horse or GTD, another has the regular BMW G82 M4 alongside the M4 GT3, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R & Corvette C8 Z06, etc.

Though that thought only came in my head because Polyphony decided to add the Ferrari 296 GTB and GT3 at the same time, which is likely just a one-off type of thing since it was the Spec III update.

With the probable/suspected shift of the PS6 release from 2027/28 to 2029/30 (i know, we don't know anything) it would be interesting if the development of GT8 is in any way impacted by this.

I always imagined GT8 would be released cross PS5+PS6, and probably at the same time.

But now this could move to a later release in general, still cross-generational. Or it could move to an "early" PS5 release in 27/28 with a PS6 version later on.

We'll probably never know what the plans where and how they shifted.

I actually kinda wish the GT8 is PS6 only because I feel that GT8 will be limited in scope in what they want they want to accomplish if they have to accommodate the limitations of the PS5. I think GT7 suffered from that, unless I'm mistaken.

But I can't fault them if they need to sell numbers to justify the budget they had to work with.
I think GT8 will either be cross-gen or PS5 only. Every PlayStation has had 2 GT games.

PS1 - GT 1&2
PS2 - GT 3&4
PS3 - GT 5&6
PS4 - GT Sport & 7
PS5 - GT7 & GT8?

I expect the limitations of cross-gen PS4-PS5 will not be as pronounced with PS5-PS6.

Random thought I had while doing the Hyundai TCR time trial, but PD really should add some subtle physics to the window nets and safety straps to add immersion (especially in VR). It's especially egregious in the HiMedic with all the junk in there static when you slam into a wall at a million miles an hour, but it feels weird that seat belts are static and don't move in reaction to how the car actually drives.

They have physics going to the curly cords attached to the steering wheels, so they know how to make it work. I know these safety items are tightly wound, so they wouldn't move that much, but still :indiff:

It appears that Xiaomi has sponsored Jimmy Broadbent, Kireth, and TraxionGG (that I know of, anyone else?) to show off the SU7 in GT7. Seems like this car in the game means a lot to them.

I imagine pretty much every big release going forward is going to be cross-gen. New consoles are so expensive and the market so big that it's just leaving money on the table to not back-port. The same reasons that led GT7 to be shoved onto PS4 at the last minute, despite the delay and impact to the game, are only going get bigger.

Do you all think that they are going to keep doing updates more or less every month like in 2025? And do we can expect any big news before the end of the year? March 2022-> lunch of gt7-> end 2022-> 25th anniversary celebration-> End 2023-> spec 2 ->end 2024-> my first gt+pspro update-> end 2025-> spec 3-> end 2026-> GT8/gtsport 2 announcement??? Eheheh

The other thing to add is that 95% of new games made are going to be built scalably rather than pushing the limits, because so much of the huge Steam market, especially in emerging markets, is on old hardware. There's really no need for anyone to build anything that can't at least run on a Switch 2 or a Steam Deck, and then scale up the graphics and world density and FPS on PS5 or high end PC GPUs.

Now, Gran Turismo, as seemingly the only non-Nintendo game left not to be on PC, might be the exception to the rule. But that's the way the games sector is trending.

I've noticed this a few times in the last few months... CPU drivers with times that don't reflect their actual finishing order. I've got screenshots, but don't feel like extracting them from my PS4 right now.

Funnily enough "Zell am See" is a track name listed in the old datamines.

The default liveries for the Porsche 911 (930) Rally Car also feature F.A.T. branding interestingly.
These decals aren't in the default library, so were specially made for the car.

Oh no, please not another snow track 😭

I think another update the month after the Spec 3 update is a good start. Shows that they are able to keep up with a few cars month to month.

Probably not a coincidence if he is spectating at the event. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it in the future..

That's entirely possible. Modern GT3's/Gr. 3's always come with some Gran Turismo Stradale. That's also been the case with the Subaru BRZ GT300 and its road-going counterpart.

There is now only 2 cars displayed at GTWS Fukuoka event that is not yet in game if I remember correctly... The IONIQ 5N DK Edition and the M4 GT3 (Team Studie). Considering we already have the IONIQ 5N in game... The next "big" car might be the M4 GT3
