While normally I like the more unique cars, I'm personally okay with the 1800s cars never coming back.

To me, they're the reason the Museum feature exists - you acknowledge their importance to the industry, and nod to the GT4 inclusion, whilst also acknowledging they are just too slow for the game's core conceit of track racing at modern fidelity to be enjoyable in them.
What about the Barker?

Surely the simplicity of the Motor Wagen would make it an EASY addition to GT7 :sly:

I wouldn't be able to wait for the first anime girl that gets plastered on the seat.

Tokyo at night on ps5 pro, pssr2 and rt on is something special. We will ever see a long track again? And more cirty tracks? It is insane how good this game looks. It just can be even better with longer track and more city tracks…or why not 15/20km track around tokyo highway. Pleaseee pd i know you want that tooo

I’m at the 2026 NY International Auto Show, at the Genesis panel. They got a time trial featuring the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT @ Brands Hatch Indy. The leaderboard’s best time as of this post is 0:44.544, with my time being 0:48.738 - pretty good! Seems like a lot of other people in front of me got a time that was over a full minute, too.

EDIT: Looks like the Hyundai panel has another GT7 setup, with the Ioniq 5 N @ Watkins Glen. Not sure if it’s the full version or the short one, though.

EDIT2: If my math is right, my best time set at the Genesis panel is about 9.42% off the best overall time - not bad!

Hello guys.
I figured GT7 has its own LeMans Hypercars, but with a different visual and specs.
Take a look.

For Genesis I put a Hyundai racing livery, since this brand will be participate in Le Mans with the GMR-001.
For Peugeot I put the 9X8 livery.
For Corvette CX.R I put a Hertz racing livery based on V-Series from Cadillac, since this brand is part from GM, same as Chevrolet.
For Alpine, I put an A424 livery.
For Ferrari I put a 499P livery (it also has the same mechanics as 499P, a hybrid V6 Turbo).
For McLaren, I put a livery based on F1 cars, but with LeMans Number bases and stickers, since McLaren will compete in this category in 2027.
For Mazda, I put a livery based on a "787B remake" (I know they participate in 2017 IMSA series using a prototype called as RT24, but not in LeMans), but I think this livery has a better looking.
And for Bugatti, I put a simple livery with LeMans numbers and stickers, for make a fictional returning from Bugatti to LeMans.
I know some players just wanted the real ones and some models are reused from GT Sport, released in 2017 and others from GT6, released in 2013, but Their designs are very modern and ahead of their time, and It's also cool to see original models, different from those in other games, but equivalent.

Please, note that I'm not the author from these liveries, I just downloaded them from GT Auto menu.

I was so bored by the new dailies that I downloaded ACC. I love the game, the realism and all that, but being used to GT7 graphics, the graphics in ACC aren't really a match. Or is it just because of my old Full HD Monitor? Does GT7 have better graphics or do they look evenly good on a modern 4k Monitor?

@Florian Kolle Gt's graphics are streets ahead of ACC's mate.
That's a shame. When I drive the same track in ACC, I feel like I'm playing a PS4 game. But maybe I can get a little more out of the graphics, if I upgrade my monitor.
The multiplayer mode in ACC has everything I miss in GT. You can really do some realistic racing, because idiots face consequences, unlike GT.

imagine if they added a small part of tokyo to drive freely? That would be a good idea for GT7s last update.
That's not an update, that's an entire new game man. But it would be nice though.

It could be, but it doesn't have to be....

They could easily join Tokyo Expressway together as one large track similar to "The Loop" in Japan add a parking area where we can meet up similar to Diakoku PA.

Combine "Meeting Places" & "Paddock" features together where you can cruise around & take photos rate each other's cars etc make the meeting place "lobbies" 24 players instead of 16 should be a hit with the car show & photography guys.

They can do something similar with the other tracks with "Meeting Places" Spa & Nurburgring can have a small country town etc

Sometimes you just wanna drive around with the friends you've made over the years an talk about cars via discord or vc

I really wish that gran turismo would consider at least adding free roam like ac evo. Wouldn't that be sick?

This is a desire shared by many, and it's almost unbelievable that Polyphony Digital, having free and easy access to these highways, hasn't yet seen a free roam mode take shape.

Considering the level of attention to detail typical of the studio, as seen in Tokyo Expressway, I understand that it would be a challenge for a lean team like PD's to create something on that scale, but it's a location right in their backyard, and that would greatly help with logistics and the cost of obtaining assets and data.

Something that also surprises me is the lack of a Touge like mountainous track, bringing a touch of Best MOTORing and Video Option to the series, especially for a game created and designed in Japan.

I really liked the last version of Fujimi Kaido in FM8, and it would be great to see PD dedicating effort to creating their interpretation of this type of track in a Gran Turismo.

Fujimi Kaido is Polyphonese for "Humanity will literally go extinct before we can finish modelling this."

I know the length wouldn't be excessive for PD and it's not a city track but the opportunity for the joke was too good to pass up

I may have criticized Gran Turismo 7 many times, but this feeling of driving at night in the Nurburgring 24-hour race as if you were seeing dawn where humidity and fog dominate and you are competing against yourself and the darkness.... That's why we loved this game!!!!

Yes
I also see many people criticizing GT7 because of its car list and the models being added, but I talked to a friend of mine and he told me that Gran Turismo isn't just a racing game.
It's also a driving game.
Since there are several game modes in it that don't just involve racing, as there are also license tests and mission challenges, in addition to the special events present in past games, although players spend most of their time participating in races in the game.
Furthermore, the game offers the possibility of driving not only expensive exotic cars with powerful V12 engines or racing cars with huge spoilers, but also common road cars that perfectly fit the financial reality of many people, giving everyone the possibility of finding in the game the car they own in real life.
It's one of the features that made the game most famous.

I've done this while also racing the AI (shame no Sophy yet on Nurburgring rain) and it was really an experience. One thing I hate is that the lack of other cars headlights illuminating the track.
