Forza has its own list of errors if you look for them. You're going to get rough edges with any game, and I'm not saying that as a Forza hater, I think Horizon 5 is epic.

My bet is that they don't have the proper star constellations captured for that location. They made a big deal of that in GT6 and I think (?) GT Sport when they did night tracks.

PD being so anal about that makes me think they don't want to publicly make night time available until they have that. Or just the way the night sky looks in that location (or maybe even just that they didn't capture images at night for lighting reference, and they don't want to estimate it, they want to use their own references for maximum accuracy).

They made a big stink about haven't the most accurate weather data to replicate the geographic areas the tracks reside in, but it's been 4 years and we still do not have a single North American track that offers rain.

It won't be that, PD are just incredibly selective about where they allow players to use 24-hour time cycles for whatever reason. The Nurburgring and Spa 24h layouts allow it but the other layouts for both tracks don't, because... they don't host 24-hour races in real life??? Meanwhile, Colorado Springs of all tracks allows it.

Can this please be a question for an interview if the opportunity comes? I want to know if they're still holding to this silly reason not to have 24hr cycles on most tracks. Same thing with the weird inconsistency with rain like freaking Brands Hatch, one layout of Dragon Trail, and all of America not having it

As long as the Grip isn't an On/Off switch like it was in GT6 (Was not a fan of that).

The locations of stars in the sky is quite possibly the most studied single subject in history. They don't need to go out and point their cameras up to figure it out. It's either because of performance issues (pats myself, PS4 owner, on the back) or they just don't want to for some inscrutable reason.

I wanna say performance issues with PD also having to cater to a near 13 year old console and it's player base. It's also likely the same reason why we don't have 30+ car grids. I can see if they were to introduce those two things, I can see them making it PS5 only features in the future. Either that or scale down the performance a little bit so that way both consoles could get those features.
 
2026 Super Taikyu Fuji 24H is today. During a just then Mazda Spirit Racing update, one of the representatives spoke about their Step 2 CO2 program for the #55 MSR Mazda3 in the ST-Q class for experimental vehicles. This is the new livery for that car. Wonder if PD will add another livery for the Gr.4 Mazda3.

@happycorey Did it when it went live. Also got a couple rewards from the last Time Trials and I’m sitting at Silver for the two Time Trials that reward on Thursday.
Right now, I just got to 79,224,134 since I posted this morning. The way I’m pacing myself I’ll get to 98,200,000 by end of the weekend. ;)

While I can't entirely think of a reason for the Porsche and BMW pairings (No podiums or wins in their respective seasons in those tracks as far as I can tell), The Ferrari and Monza pairing feels pretty obvious. The Peugeot and Fuji one is by far THE most specific if you pay attention to the numberplate and/or are familiar with the race results:

Edit: After some additional digging, the #6 Porsche IS a podium finisher at the 2024 Spa 6 Hours so there is some connective thread there as to what year that car is from.

And to further the Fuji thing, the first time the cars appear together on 100R they are in the order they finished in 2024 (excluding the Ferrari which is pretty much out of shot anyway), Porsche 1st, BMW 2nd, and Peugeot behind them in 3rd instead of 4th because in Gran Turismo universe the Alpine doesn't exist yet. Probably coincidence but I don't know, I just want June 11th to arrive, already.

Anyone know what this "most famous and prestigious rally in the world" is? My best guess was the Gumball 3000 that's starting soon, but I have no idea. There are classic cars in the background and I'm not sure if that's a Gumball thing.

Edit: Just had it confirmed as the Mille Miglia.

I believe its the Mille Miglia (Same one Kaz and Igor Fraga did years ago).
 
And they don't pass in my region (The Marches)
Missed opportunity for me, Loving the 1000 Miglia and every year, when they reach Emilia or Marche, I shoot a lot of pictures.
Of all the years, it just had to be this one? :-/
 
But a Supra won’t be allowed at the Mille? I thought it was only historic vehicles, like up to 1957 or something like that.
