Don’t think physics have changed but as others have mentioned the AMG Gr.3 is quite rowdy on the loud pedal so maybe the torque curves have been adjusted, also I can’t drive like the ghost in the Yas Marina Circuit experience(maybe done on a different update), so somethings different yet my previous tune PP values seem unaffected.So,... is just FFB and wheel implementation changed or do we really have new physics?
I don’t think it’s physics just tire characteristics have changed, throttle control and smooth application or phased application is really powerful now, coupled with the new tire sounds it’s the illusion of new physics but it’s doesn’t feel like new physics when you adjust to the new style/grip envelopes.So,... is just FFB and wheel implementation changed or do we really have new physics?
The Hakosuka in the Power Pack, my own R32 Nismo, the CX.R in the weekly challenge, my own EG Civic, my own S13 Silvia... unfortunately everything I've tried this far.Interesting. I haven't experienced straight line shake at all on a T300rs.
Are there specific cars that do it?
If I'm not mistaken, they typically clear previously held lap times with a physics change. So I'd assume this is just a FFB tweak.So,... is just FFB and wheel implementation changed or do we really have new physics?
FFB was in the notes so hopefully that’s all it is. Also cars PP would change if physics were messed with?If I'm not mistaken, they typically clear previously held lap times with a physics change. So I'd assume this is just a FFB tweak.
Yup, spun about 85 times on the second corner exit, almost impossible if you compare yourself to the demonstration ghost.because the rear kept snapping out on both the AMG
Didn't they announce a new tire model with Spec III/Dunlop? Or am I trippin'🤔😄What new tire model?
It’s designed deliberated to drive you to the data logger is my guessYup, spun about 85 times on the second corner exit, almost impossible if you compare yourself to the demonstration ghost.
No idea what they announced but something has definitely changed and I became your namesake for a while. Coming into the first corner at Blue Moon Bay in the FF race I lost my Civic (mentioned in #6665 above) in a way I never expected, braking from fourth gear the tail stepped out and an overdone countersteering move put me into the outside wall - classic FWD behaviour, but one I've never witnessed with that car. The same continued in the infield too so it wasn't just that one corner, the car was noticably more tail happy under braking than ever before. The R32 and S13 on the other hand haven't changed.Didn't they announce a new tire model with Spec III/Dunlop? Or am I trippin'🤔😄
Yeah, I've assumed that I'm cooking my tires at times. That's why it'd be nice for PD to implement tire temp in the UI but apparently some people here think that's nonsense lol.One thing it feels like what’s happening to me is either brake fade or tyres are too hot.
Yes, I need an indicator. Especially in the DLC. Even at 1x wear, I’m feeling like I have to back off for the tyres to cool. There’s something happening that I didn’t feel in the previous update.Yeah, I've assumed that I'm cooking my tires at times. I don’t know your guys pace levels but honestly the noise is more prominent now on what the tires are doing.Yeah, I've assumed that I'm cooking my tires at times. That's why it'd be nice for PD to implement tire temp in the UI but apparently some people here think that's nonsense lol.
Wow. That sucks. With it being rare, and affecting so many cars for you personally, it leads me to believe it's something with your setup specifically. The Hakosuka in the Power Pack, my own R32 Nismo, the CX.R in the weekly challenge, my own EG Civic, my own S13 Silvia... unfortunately everything I've tried this far.
I spun once on my second attempt, but once it happened I recalibrated my right foot and didn't have any issues after.Yup, spun about 85 times on the second corner exit, almost impossible if you compare yourself to the demonstration ghost.
Probably not specifically since @rtsbasic has the same problem with a Fanatec, but it may very well be wheel model dependant as your T300RS is handled by the game differently from my T-GT II for example. I'd hazard a guess that they have different driver packages for each major wheel family.Wow. That sucks. They announced a "partnership" with Dunlop, but it really is just a product placement, replacing Michelin logos with Dunlop ones. There was no mention of a new tire model. So yes, you're trippin'Didn't they announce a new tire model with Spec III/Dunlop? Or am I trippin'🤔😄

I posted that last year. We’ll probably be waiting a while.Watching the World Tour. Be nice if we got those tyre temp percentages.
I’m on controller, but I’m also finding as a controller user, the trajectory is more locked in now. The path is the path. On controller, the path can be kind of manipulated if you understand me. In a tight corner like a 90 degree or something like T1 and T2 at Maggiore and Final turns of Trial Mountain, tapping the brakes can’t suddenly redirect the trajectory with the tyre physics.I don’t know your guys pace levels but honestly the noise is more prominent now on what the tires are doing.
On a practical note, it’s driving style that’s working the tires harder (and leaving time on the table) take a few slower laps to build a rhythm and it will click, honestly.
Agree, but I'm not aiming for gold, rather beating the demonstration ghost and topping the friends leaderboard in each sectorI've seen it mentioned elsewhere, but on a side note, the CGV and YM CEs are crazy easy. I've never seen a lap of, let alone driven a lap of, either of these circuits and took at most 3 attempts at each stage to git gold, and a single attempt on both full circuits.
I agree too. First thing I noticed is the small resistance added to the wheel with road cars. You cannot miss it with the FTO. If you use your senses a bit, it really feels like driving an FF car in real life. If you spin the wheels while turning, the car wants to keep going in that direction as long as you keep you foot on throttle. Release it and the wheel straightens and you feel it in the wheel also.Force feedback is definitely different
Easier to catch the rear and perhaps more details from the road and kerbs, hard to compare from previous versions
I also feel like the tires behave differently, again, hard to compare to a previous version
Even after less than two hours with it and a CSL Elite I'm finding the same thing. Haven't tried a prolonged, controlled slide yet.Cars in general feels more balanced, easier to control but in a good realistic way. But you still have to practise and be smooth to get good lap times. It does not make the game easier.
Haha, maybe, but not completely😄They announced a "partnership" with Dunlop, but it really is just a product placement, replacing Michelin logos with Dunlop ones. There was no mention of a new tire model. So yes, you're trippin'![]()
Sorry but, what does "coasting" mean here? It’s designed deliberated to drive you to the data logger is my guess
If you look at the traces closely you’ll see the difference. I also suspect they they did that lap and sector on a slightly different build.
Edit: I just want to add that actually coasting is a very very good thing now. I promise
Off throttleSorry but, what does "coasting" mean here?
Th neutral phase between braking and throttle it lets the car settle the weightSorry but, what does "coasting" mean here?
