Do you want more detailed and realistic physics on the next GT

This was 2 years ago, Sophy doesn’t end up in barriers unless they make it part of the model.

I think people don’t realise that Sophy is faster than all of us, it’s them restraining it to make it raceable for us is the actual challenge.

I REALLY want to see the "full Monty" Sophy in game. I don't understand the restraint. Sure, make the single player easier, but leave it to the player to turn up the heat. Who cares if 100% is unbeatable? We'll find the fun.

I’ve just clocked the pole, and I think it’s inaccurately placed to be honest.

Firstly AI isn’t physics, at least how 99.9% of the player base experiences it.

Secondomdly it’s a determinative answer when the real questions are either is the physics good enough for the game we have or actually the utter point, are real physics what we want when most of us are quite rubbish using the current ones.

You have to either take the red or blue pill.

Kaz is seemingly very particular about his vision for this game which I can understand, because I do view him as an artist of sorts.

But sometimes his vision is narrow in scope and at odds with what would make a good simulation/game. As frustrating as that can be, he's doing a good job.

I agree with you tho! lol

Indycar Racing II from like 1996 allowed you to set the Ai speed in 1% increments per track, from 80% to 120%.

Am I the only one that notices how often a spin out or collision or contact with a wall/barrier results in the car coming to rest facing exactly 180 degrees the wrong way? I'm calling shenanigans. It's not physics and it's not even an attempt at physics, it is a philosophical decision being forced onto the player. For me it crosses the line from GT7 as simulator, to just another game.

When the tires slide out due to touching the grass or whatever, I'm not fighting to regain control of the vehicle, I'm 100% just trying to prevent the end result of facing 180 the wrong way and seeing limited results.
Not sure about that, I know if I get over on the grass I just lightly feather the throttle and usually keeps me straight, anymore than 1/3 throttle and you’re usually just spinning out.

The walls are terrible in this game, you can just graze it and sometimes it just magnetically turns you head on into the wall. Hardly ever ricochet off of them, if a front fender touched a wall, usually its tractor beaming you into the wall.

As for spins, I haven’t really noticed too much. I imagine a car with tires spinning is going to want to go forwards or backwards. I’ve even managed to do a full 360 and end up pointed in the right direction. This usually requires me to catch the spin at just the right moment and actually steer so I induce a further spin.

I wonder if you could practice trying to replicate and instead of countersteering just steer into it until it goes. So if the back end of the car is kicking out to your right, steer left with not a lot of throttle and then countersteering once it starts to whip around.

I have not noticed the whole facing backwards thing but the magnetic barriers drive me absolutely MENTAL, sometimes I cannot extricate myself from barriers, it is extremely frustrating.
Sometimes you’re almost facing straight, figure you can just drive ahead, nope it just turns your straight into the barrier/wall again haha. It’s funny high speed you can deflect off but a lower speed it just grabs you and pulls you in.

I'm late to the driving only stock road cars community. Decided to take both E30s and the RS 500 for a SOPHY run once around N24. That joint was cool!

I started 3rd in the base E30 with the RS500 P1 and the E30 SE in P2. At no point could I battle for P1, but having a hard time keeping up with the E30 SE was awesome.
Thought I'd be slip sliding on those Comfort tyres, but the grip felt good. Watching the real time behaviour of SOPHY in the other two cars was cool. Obvious problem was SOPHY programming making sure to choose trajectories that didn't ride curbs/kerbs. Other than that, I nearly passed the E30 SE a few times.

Keeping it clean for the entire race made me appreciate stock handling of the E30 more than when I first drove it in GT Sport. It's still my favourite car of GT7 and probably the franchise... unless PD add the ROADSTER NB. :sly:

Hi. I’ve just become the owner of a T300 RS GT Edition (brand new, straight from the store). This is my first steering wheel. I mainly play Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5. So far I’ve completed all licenses with gold on the controller — except for the last one, the Super License.
How do I optimally set the maximum FFB torque and FFB sensitivity in Gran Turismo? What ranges should I choose so I don’t damage the wheel and so it doesn’t overheat? Currently I have maximum FFB torque set to 4 and sensitivity to 2. Is there perhaps some other sweet spot?
I also have the fan forced to run continuously for safety. Do the “controller sensitivity” and “vibration strength” settings in Gran Turismo 7 have any effect on the T300? I also checked the FFB power setting on PC and it’s at the factory default of 75% — but I assume we don’t change that here?

Sorry for my english.

This is for the T598 but I think it applies to all wheels.

Post in thread 'Thrustmaster T598 Direct Axial Drive Discussion Thread' https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-drive-discussion-thread.428553/post-14477583

Controller Sensitivity is a long going subject, some say it doesn't make a difference on wheels and some say it does but only slight, I just leave mine at 5.

The Vibration Strength is mentioned in the linked comment above, I changed mine to the same and it feels better to me.

Force Feedback Max Torque you probably will be better to change per car, as each car gives a different strength back, so higher for road car, lower for Gr1, etc...

I am saying this from being on a T598 though so may feel different on a T300.

I think those settings are good.

Controller sensitivity and vibration strength do nothing. Vibration Strength only does for Trueforce wheels.
