I'm leaning towards the SU7 not being in this update after thinking about it a bit. Whether that be because the trailer version number was wrong and there's an Oct/Nov update with it in, or if it's a 2026 update car.

It's just... with how aggressively they've been marketing it, it feels incorrect that they'd put that car in an update where it would be the 20th or so most important thing in that update. Feels like a car they'll market as the "star" of a weaker update instead to make Xiaomi happy that they're the focus. Although maybe I'm just overthinking PD's marketing/partnership process there.

I get that it’s some kind of legendary car for the GT series but do we really need another GT-R?

We have no M5. We have no NB or NC Miata. We have a really lame selection of modern Audis. We have the dead horses of no new GT3 or GT4 cars.

Instead we get a car we essentially already have just with a different turbocharger on it or something? Not interested.

I'm so hyped for that Update, can't wait for the MINE'S R34, still hoping for more aftermarked Tuner Cars, like TRD, HKS, Spoon... you get my Point. Hopefully some day they add the Nismo S-Tune R32 and now as MINE'S is in, just hand over the MINE'S Evo VI too

Despite all of that, what the new Collector's Cap will be is pure speculataion for sure, it could be 70, 100, 500, 1000 or what ever, nevermind, but what is the exact Level formula used in GT7? I only find "get to Lv.50 ASAP" info in the net, and beside of needing 50mil worth of Cars, not really any info about the progression. Does someone has a real statistic of points needed per rank? Like there where ways less Points needed to level up from 5 to 6 then from 45 to 46 if i remember right (long time ago).
What level could you espect when having like 500.000 Collector Points or 1Bil?
Anyone?

I had given up hope of new tracks and kept using the example of the Ferrari 458 for GT3 cars being so out of date. Consider me silenced and very happy to be! What an awesome Christmas present. Thanks Kaz!

There's not a single one, but it takes an increasing number of credits spent on cars (or value in prize cars) to advance to each subsequent level.

Up to CL17 it's not consistent. After CL17 that increment increases by 50 points each time.

That just isn't what would happen though.

If Kaz were to "be replaced" (won't happen), I can guarantee whoever takes his place won't care to "evolve" the series in any way beyond turning it into another clone of Forza Horizon or iRacing... which would be a fate worse than death.

Oh I apologise, I didn't realise you could guarantee that...

All im saying is that I could be right and the series gets better, or you could be right and it gets worse.

Ultimately we all enjoy GT and want the best (our interpretation of best) for it, I just don't understand the closed minded poo reactions for anyone suggesting any constructive criticism or disagreeing with the echo chamber.

(As others have mentioned, if there is no update now until Christmas then should this be classed as a major update or is it just bottling up all the updates into one?)

Great News!

The data logger sounds very interesting but also highly addictive...there is no confirmed info so far, if that feature will run on all consoles or will be PS5 only, right...?

I'm very surprised you haven't plotted a curve for this. You seem like a data guy lol Or that no one has just gone through and written down how many points they needed for each level as they played through an Alt account. And then some guesstimates could be made based off that screenshot of lvl 51 and what we know from 49 to 50 and then 50 to 51.

I also have low expectations for these levels. My best guess is it'll just be used to unlock those permanent Invites. Like every 5 or 10 levels it just allows a permanent Invite for a certain manufacturer, Ferrari undoubtedly being the highest.

I hope to be proven wrong.

So nothing to extrapolate from then...

Is that list accurate though? I don't think I've ever gotten a 1 or 2 star ticket since hitting lvl 50 (years ago). I see they're rare, but I'd still think I would have hit them occasionally. It's also weird for them to get more likely after hitting lvl 20.
that's the only info I know, and indeed stats must progress beyond LVL 20 because I don't get less than 3* anymore either.

But I hope that's wrong as I'm level 175

I've had a list since two days before launch.

If the pattern remains, CL51 will require 56,800pt. CL100 would require 233,200pt.

Or worse, it gets ported to PC!!🤮:yuck::yuck:

I can't even think of what I'd want or they could do with higher levels. Did someone earlier here mention that levels affect what Roulette Tickets you get?

y It'd be nice if the tickets were completely rebalanced and higher collector levels unlocked higher tier tickets. I'd say make 1 star to 10 start tickets. Remove the engine swap and parts tickets. Every 10 levels unlocks a higher tier star ticket. And say like on a level 10 tier ticket, up to 10 mil credits possible reward or one of the 20 mil cars etc. Cause I mean, if you're at level 100.. You've played enough of this damn game lol I'm not there yet and I've played too much of this game.

Theres a lack of reward variety at that point though. I mean, guess they could unlock more Missions? That doesn't seem super exciting.

I'd love to hear other peoples theories or ideas on what the 50+ CL will do as I really don't see anything working or making sense beyond the Invites, which I find disappointing.

I just checked and I would be at level 140. Surprised it is that high. I haven't bought all of the cars and I don't have all of the legends. Oh well

I would have lvl 157.
If they put it on 100 we will instant on max lvl.

kjb

Just remember that we on GTPlanet are not the average players. We're generally way above the average player in terms of hours played and cars bought.

So yes, we may instantly jump to the new max level, but an average player may not.

Would be really funny though if we have to sit through 15 minutes of the level increase screen, going level by level, and getting all the unlocks. 😂
