Similar camera setup on that as well. I think you're onto something.

Yeah my instinct was the B194 - but I think this (B192) is bang on, front wing shape at the top is also bang on

It's cool but WE won't get updates for october and november
Spec III is 1.64 update. I hope it's just a temporary number
You know what, seeing what is in this update, IMO it will be worth it. Even though I got back into playing GT7 a bit more rigorously again, I'd say I am prepared that it could be the last new content update of GT7. Yas Marina and Gilles Villineuve are quite the surprise! But I guess due to the scarcity of them in updates, any real life new track would be a surprise right now. Personally the FTO in GT7 has been on my mental wish list for almost 3 years!

The invitation screenshot in the update post seems to have been taken before the collector screen, the camera pan isn't as far around the car in the invitation part. Maybe it's linked purely to purchases and not collector level?

It makes sense to tie it to the collector level if they don't want to write a bunch of new code to support a new feature though. Either way, it's better than the current system, though I do like the "purchase x number of vehicles from y manufacturer" more. With that said, I'd be happy with the collector level system as well.

EDIT: In the trailer, the invitation is after the collector level screen, and looking at the images again, I think the invitation screen is further along, in-game wise, than the collector screen.

What i interpreted was that when buying a legendary car from a brand, you get a permanent invitation for that brand. Don't get why people thought something else. Theres a chance im wrong, tho, lets just see when the update drops.

That's an interesting way of doing it, but it would sort of be a side step rather than a full fix because the car might not be in the legend car dealer at the time. This is PD so maybe they did that without a way to guarantee a car from an invitational manufacturer being in the dealer.

I think people reckon it could be collector level based because the invitation is shown in the same context as the collector level (although it could be just to show the increased collector level).

Will this mean that no content will come in October/November? Hmmm... At least it seems they are finally doing something worthy.
Likely not as Spec 3 is update 1.64, today's update was 1.63.

There's no Bugatti legendary car (assuming one isn't one of the Other 4), so it can't just be this.

Finally at home after working at the office since very early am and not only did I get to install the update but now read this as well!!! Totally caught off guard!! Looking at the in game announcement I hope that last sentence means new livery options, colors availability, and more wheels among whatever new things they want to add!! (Couldn’t get a screenshot as it captures the main banner only so a photo it is)

Remains to be seen if Dunlop raised branding will be available for all cars. Main thing that sucks is Goodyear sold Dunlop to Sumitomo this year! So, maybe we see a contract with Goodyear still holding a licence to Dunlop in game so cars with Goodyear branding can run Dunlop branding in the livery editor.

I'm still gonna be the debbie downer lol Beyond the 2 tracks and 8 vehicles, it doesn't seem to be what I'd call a "major" update.
Are you expecting and entirely new game? Ya, by all accounts, this is a major update. This more than the standalone "My First GT" that was released last year.
Unfortunately you can't satisfy everyone.

I’m looking forward for this update, hope not many SUV or a cuv, the tracks seems to be for a high powered car like f1 or gts, I’m not really excited for the 2 tracks, the new cars are not the best, we got a GTR or something (sorry those people who like it not a fan),

Thanks :cheers::gtpflag:

PD work in strange ways. They drop a GT game in need of fixing, and then drop a big update 3 years into its lifecycle.

I'm excited though! Especially for the tracks and formula cars - I really like the weekly challenge missions as well!

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Spec III Lands This December, Adds Two New Tracks, New Cars, and New Features

As part of today’s PlayStation State of Play, Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has announced a massive new update for Gran Turismo 7, going by the expected name “Spec III”, and coming in December 2025...
@Famine And there you were, looking forward to a good night's sleep tonight

@Theufcveteran. Remember when you said you'd definitely absolutely never change the Career mode set up ever again...... ;)

No, it would likely start over again?, that only happens if we don’t have November and Octobers update
The reveal trailer for Spec 3 says the update is 1.64, and we just had 1.63 yesterday/earlier today.

The moment I saw the FTO, I was smitten.

Widebody FTO should mean FTO touring car replicas...I get to relive my youth!
Yeah. It's one of three 90s JDM cars that I was hoping would someday be in the game. The other two being the Lexus SC400 and the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R.

I'm still very happy with the other cars and tracks that are included in this update. It's already looking better than the Spec II update in my opinion and that's without us even knowing what the other 4 cars are.
