The cars I mentioned have been around since GT1, as have the K-Cars. It's just that they were added to GT7 with an update.
As great as I think the Skyline is, one model is slowly getting enough for me. The same goes for the GTR, Miata, and all other cars that appear more than once.
Why?
Let a vehicle type be tuned to create any variant.
Please include more manufacturers with their cars.
And also more supercars and hypercars, as well as family cars. But NO more SUVs; they always drive like crap because of their super-sized cabinet shape.

For me, it's getting further and further away from what it used to be.
Things that were standard in GT5 are still missing, like endurance races or the B-Spec mode.

All in all, GT7 is slowly starting to feel like the beta for GT8.

Let's take the missions for example. Nice idea, but they were dropped 3-6 months after release. There hasn't been an update since then.
But hey, I have 371636293746368 backgrounds in Scapes to set the scene for my car.
That's important for a racing game like that.

There is no gears, is a CVT transmission. Its a simulation of “gears” (presetted ratios)
Huh. Having never driven a CVT car (at least I don't remember ever doing so), that is..interesting. Gonna make for an intriguing addition to the powerboard tomorrow.

another damn SUV (I finally want station wagons), and a Japanese Jeep copy.
BIT YER TONGUE!, the LandCruiser at the time was a major improvement to the CJ5 of the day...
PD has communicated none of this, nor do we know what the certain period is. I'd guess either one update or until the car is actually delivered to customers.
Probably all 200 are already sold out ...
Probably because the car is not officially on the streets yet?? I am not sure if they are already in the streets tbh

According to some japanese website (no idea if true/official):

Because it is based on the pre-release Roadster 12R development vehicle, its specifications have not been disclosed, and there are some differences between the in-game vehicle and the commercially available vehicle. Furthermore, in order to allow players to experience the Roadster 12R in its raw form first, tuning will not be possible for a certain period of time after its addition in the update.

edit Famine just posted it also
Thank you @Famine @Sir Crashalot
@mastretta_mx
for the answer(s) provided, now looking for the day that update drops that we CAN upgrade this car.
It handles great in my TT at the Nordschleife...

Imo this is a pretty solid update. I actually really like the new VGT and I‘m glad we‘ve finally got Opel back in the game!

I also made a few liveries for the Corsa, inspired by the legendary DTM Calibra.

Please explain how this is a temporary thing, that the new Mazda 12R is not tuneable
I was hoping this would mean we would get some kind of one make championship to highlight the cars introduction to the game. But PD probably oppose this idea, as its giving the community an esports event outside of the world tour.

All in all, it looks like another hastily thrown-together update that completely ignored user requests.

Well done, PD.

And do you think PDI is interested in satisfying the community's wishes?
You can certainly continue expressing your wishes until one day you get the car model added to the game.

It's not just about the cars. How many people have been wanting a new track for months?

How many, myself included, have been wanting proper endurance races for years?

This 1-hour races, or rather, this 1-hour race—there's only one—isn't GT standard for me. And for many others, too.

It's not just the want of the community that can bring that though - it's not as easy as that.

The proper endurances races though I fully agree. That is something they have total control over and verbalised shortly after the games release - but where are they?

Love the N line Hyundai but I think the Exhaust snap, crackle and pops are not loud enough. My brother has an I30 N sedan in real life and it’s loud as F. And in cockpit you can hear it all. The rally style pops are very alive in real life. The Electric version in game does a better job of capturing it. The Elantra does allow for Antilag but it’s still not very loud. Sports exhaust and semi are better than racing for the pops. If I switch to an R34 it’s very night and day noticeable how much louder the Skyline is. Not sure if the audio is bugged on the Hyundai or that’s just how PD want it. The turbo is much to hissy and loud. In the car I’ve driven in real it’s not even noticeable. The exhausts are the star. But oh well. It’s still an awesome car in game. I hope they bring the Hatch and it’s louder and pops like a rally car. I think PD did a great job with the handling or turn in at least. Because it’s grippy and has a pointy front end. Like lift off oversteer. My brother’s car does handle well and the front does want to hug that apex like it’s your favourite granny. 😄

"game is dead" huh..?
That was never really my sentiment(I was being to believe it tho), I was, however very adamant we weren’t getting anymore tracks. I’m glad I was wrong about that. Best part about it all is I get all the excitement with none of the disappointment because I don’t walk around expecting things from the world. I’m what being right on the internet worth in reality?

Endurance races is an opportunity missed to advance gameplay. Car selections is also lack lustre (they are way too slow at adding anything recent)

But I’m grateful for the impressive graphics engine, improved sounds and VR mode because I know those are hard technical milestones to crack.

Now if PD could get their act together on cars for gt8 id be happy. It’s 2025 and the most recent road cars are 5 years old or thereabouts. I understand tracks are king for some but for me GT is about experiencing new cars more than new tracks and sadly car updates have been mostly life support rather than anything noteworthy. Gt8 can’t come soon enough.

Just tried all the new cars and i have to say this is a great update.

RAV4: I thought this will be boring however it brings a new technology to the game: The CVT with a manual mode. And this makes it an interesting addition for me.

Corsa GSE: Here also, we have this new boost system. And the car feels unique. Great job Opel and PD.

Elantra N: The upshift bangs are missing unfortunately, however im happy to see they implemented the crackles (only if you equip the sports exhaust). The exhaust note sounds accurate. And i like the digital tachometer.

Landrover: Legend. I would love to see some suitable events/missions. And some competitor cars.

Mazda 12R Roadster: It does feel and sound different from the „standard“ variant, so i like this addition as well
