In need of the little blue pill when firing up Gran Turismo 7? 😁

I won't enjoy all the new features and additions but man, not being excited by the amount AND variety of the new FREE content 4+ years into the life of the game?
You must be really hard to satisfy šŸ˜Ž
Not true!!! I am grateful they do it! Amazing tracks were added: CGV, Yas Marina. Some
Really cool cars like all moden Hypercars, 296, new 911. This was insane!

I am saying this specific update is not interesting for me personally. I have no emotional connection with these tracks or cars

Kind a special image for this update, sure related to the 30th anniversary of GT, but i can't avoid to hope there will be something special announced in the next months ... šŸ¤ž

Shuffle races seems interesting!
I distinctly recall LOLing at the idea of shuffle races back in the GT5 early days. Then I tried it, and I basically only did that online until the very end. It was super awesome and well done, definitely some meme races but overall it was implemented very well. Fingers crossed for a similar experience!

"Vintage, a section featuring cars no longer available to purchase new"

This leads me to believe that the collaboration/sponsorship with Hagerty will not continue.
The Vintage section probably just shows the cars from that specific brand that are obtainable in the Used Car Dealership and the Legend Car Dealership, and doesn't allow you to immediately buy them from there. It may also be tied to the new Car Concierge feature, since both will be in the October update.

Personally, I'm hoping that this new Vintage section will mean that brands like TVR, Shelby, Lancia, etc... will finally appear in Brand Central. And if so, hopefully PD will include a Museum section for these brands as well.

Theorycrafting a little bit here: We have the new "Experience" mode, which looks like it is basically more license tests but scoped to a specific manufacturer.

I wonder if that's tied into the concierge in any way? Like, maybe you have to beat the Mercedes experience to unlock being able to get Mercedes cars through the concierge.

Glad to see Sugo, wanted that in GT for ages because it's not in many other games. I think the last time I drove it would've been an rFactor mod but it's a really fun circuit, especially the mental last corner. As long as Autumn Ring is faithful as they say it is then I'm also really looking forward to driving it again, it's always been a great one for photos too. Car list looks good, wonder what the other 6 will be, maybe we get some other GT classics.

No, other screenshots show it's just limited by your collector level.

Super GT races at Sugo later this month. Wonder if we’ll get newer GT500’s perhaps?
Exactly what i was thinking. Would be very fitting and it would make so much sense to finally add them.

I think I love Kaz and PD
Honestly did not expect any announcement whatsoever, let alone Spec IV
However, if this new car view feature doesn't have a photomode in it I will probably start murdering people

I bet the 6 cars shown will be the 6 that release in October with the first part of Spec IV.

Well, they have the rolling white paper backdrop in place and ready for the photoshoot 😁

I remember getting to try a fresh profile of GT5 v1.0 during my first vacation to California, and I got that Motul Civic touring car pretty early.

Back in that version there was an oversight in the tire model where heat would build up and not dissipate quick enough, slowly cooking to maximum red as you drove. They’d still retain most of their grip, allowing you to drive until smoke started pouring out of the car, and it was accelerated more aggressively with that Civic tourer due to its increased grip. In a very early campaign race by the final two laps it looked like I was blasting past opponents with a blown engine, and I discovered all this on Autumn Ring of all places. I don’t think I’ll quite be able to recreate all of that nostalgia, but it’s a pretty good set of cars and tracks so far.

I hope shuffle is as dynamic and customizable as it was in GT5, that was such a great community builder back in 2010-2012. Super easy way to hop into fairly balanced races with strangers on mics and play GT like old Halo matchmaking.

Given there’s enough consideration for ā€œfamily modeā€, I hope a bit more feature sets are put into split screen mode, given right now you can basically only pick tracks and lap counts right now. Fuel/tire wear, weather, race timer, penalty removal, ai opponents (if you can do 4 players, you can do 2 players with 2 ai minimum), more ways to organize cars (currently you can only access your garage cars via your favorites list, and it puts them in the reverse order you added them), rolling vs standing starts, and maybe a simple championship mode where you can set 3-5 races with a points system (this is available in Mario Kart, old hotwheels games, and an old motorcycle racer called Speed Kings). The upgrades to splitscreen in Spec III were very good, but there’s still some limitations and oversights.

@Jordan I see you... šŸ¤”šŸ¤”

i BET YOU KNOW 🄸🄸
Let me answer:

No GT8 anytime soon.

Probably not before 2030.

GT7 will get Spec V first in 2028, then you will start seeing shadows of GT8 previews in late 2028 possibly GT8 release Christmas 2029.

I caved on watching the state of play before GT showed up doh....! Just delighted with the announcements SUUUUUUUUGOOOOOOO! pure driving filth... froth!
