So 9 hours of racing now? That would mean 27 races or is my math way off?

I wonder many wins did you have in the Sport mode? I only won once:

    So, the Beta. :sly:

I'm patiently waiting for the next announcement.

March 10th Beta announced, a week later Beta begins.
April 5th Phase 2 announced, a week later EU joins the party.

It seems to me the time for Phase 3 is near.

So come on PD, let's get this show on the road.
Time to announce Phase 3, and when it lands in a week, please bring us a few more goodies. :p

N300 cars on Brands GP Circuit. Warm up, then qually, then screen freezes. Restart the game, qually again, get a 1'44.993, race starts, get punted off in turn 1.

Not enjoying the matching system much at all. Too many dirt bags out there.

Its a very poor standard of driving in every race apart from a handfull ive been in. Its a shame really. Bring on game release and private lobbies asap.

That was just ridiculous last night. I think you were hitting me coming out of T4 but had no choice because you were surrounded - getting hit from all sides, looked like :( It's basically a 2 dimensional Newton's Cradle for the first four turns, and once that's happened, there's less care for SR.

Dragon was awful for me too because of laggy players, couldn't tell where anyone was! A few didn't seem to be lagging, so I don't think I was.

Willow seems to be the only place recently where I've done OK for SR, but most times I fluff the start and still get swamped. Best tactic then can be to just take to the dirt, lose more places, then gain places as the rest make mistakes - 3rd to 12th to 4th, lol!

Agree. Similar thing happened yesterday. Got in a race N300 cars at Brands GP, was on pole by 3 seconds, Evo overtook me into turn 1. I stay right on him for 2 laps, no contact, driving very clean & respectful like. Get to overtake him of the penultimate turn on lap 2, go round the outside in the last turn leaving him plenty of room, but the dirty git punts me off in to sand. I decide to quit because there is no joy for me in driving against such incompetent & wreckless drivers. I'm about done with the beta for the moment.

I've seen at least one very poor maneuver in every single race I've been in. Not sure what the answer is.

I think changing the SR ranking system to grades rather than numbers doesn't help. I know it doesn't make a huge difference but now all you know is if your SR has gone up, down or stayed the same. If you have a number for SR you would be able to see exactly what you're losing from hitting into people and that might make people a little more cautious.

Anyone in EU has received a code for the beta not being a PS+ member ? I read that in US some people had codes without PS+, but I don't know if is there any case without PS+ in EU region...

I think the reason why Australia can't play the Beta is because the EU servers don't stretch 13,000KM. The Asian servers are much closer, assuming there aren't any servers in Australia (but I'm pretty sure there are) PD would have to prep the servers before giving out codes, and I'm hoping that it's happening right now because I REALLY want to play the Beta.

First corners are a mess in n300 because all cars are so slow its just one big pile of cars trying to take corners. Uphill acceleration at Brands doesnt help..

Gr4 and gr3 cars have more space between them by the first corners.

Was there that recognizable flag over the car that usually gives one a warning this could happen?

@Haitauer - I've been racing online for many years & am well aware of the difference between lag & a dirty driver. Making excuses for them is not helpful.

I would like to see a day in sports mode that's bans the use of Mitsubishi Evo's and Nissan GT-R GR.4's It's way too OP.

    14947042752181162326965.jpg

I did a run with the Evo and starting from 15-16 places and ended up in 7th. Meanwhile with the genesis, started at the same position and ended at 13th.

Also is it me or players got a lot cleaner since when I first played online mode in the beta?

Yes it was noticeably cleaner today at Dragon Trail. I was lucky enough to start the first three races there on pole and there was a distinct lack of the usual dive bombing into turn 1.

Wish I would have taken a screenshot, but after one of the races at Dragon Trail last night, out of a 16 car field, everybody's SR was red, except for me, and GTP_Gravitron. The racing reflected it too.

Is it me or is there a dust trail effect at Dragontrail?

It is noticeable right after the exit of the last hairpin and after the first corner.
