I saw a similar fail with the PCARS 2.0 update when someone posted patch notes of PCARS 1 2.0.

I've got soon as the game unlocks to be played, need to update nether less, updated for 15 minutes and played it. Didn't have chances to play 1.01 so didn't notice any differences.

Can confirm, I had to go in and manually check for updates 1 minute ago but currently downloading version 1.02 in Colorado as well.
