we share the same opinion! with the performance of the ps3 and blu ray disc's it could have been possible to actually create the marjor cities of the world into that game. Maybe New York is just the BEGINNING of the game and we're going to see more of the world maybe![]()
This isn't the same Liberty City you're thinking of Robin. As one of our members said, GTAIII was a generalization of NYC. There really wasn't that many things represented from NYC in it except the church, Times Squre, Central Park, Stauton Island (though the real name is different), and a little more. It didn't even represent NYC to its fullest in anything.
This one though, will. It's being rumoured (as many things) that we'll get all FIVE boroughs of NYC. I'm pretty sure we didn't even get 3 boroughs in GTAIII in a general form.
I always wondered why they were black instead of blue, I also heard that some missions were changed or removed because of the attacks. I doubt this will affect gta4 though as its been several years and theres no reason to include ground sero anyways IMO. With all this dynamic shadow its going to be completely different standing in the midst of many tall buildings! thats one thing missing from any of the other GTAs downtowns.
I hope the game is only set in Liberty City, and nowhere else. Trying to branch out and cover everything is what made San Andreas my least favourite GTA location on the PS2. They need to do one city, and nail it.
Yup, I'd rather a huge, well designed Liberty City (with a nice amount of countryside/parklands thrown in for tooling around in) around it than trying to go overboard with trying to spread it out all over the planet.I hope the game is only set in Liberty City, and nowhere else. Exactly. Besides, don't rule out having Portland, Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale being brought back again and enlarged, which will basically be like having three cities in the first place.BlakeI hope the game is only set in Liberty City, and nowhere else. I can't believe there are people who are arguing about rape if it is in the game?
Their excuse is that we kill people in the game, then why is rape any worse?
Couple sickos at GTAForums.
I love the [supposed] main character. Something fresh, different and not expected at all. Besides, since he is most likely Russian, he will most likely deal with the Russian Mafia, which gets big thumbs up from me. The voice of this character is also most likely the main Russian character from the movie 15 Minutes, which may also have an influence on the actual game, apparantly.
Yeah, probably. I can't wait for GTA IV and any news/screenshots for it, and I kinda miss the days of the previous [notable] GTA releases, and posting as much information as possible as it's released. So I'm hoping those days will come back.JayYou going to become active/semi-active in the GTA forums again Matt?
I would've hated to have CJ back. San Andreas was a big mark in the GTA series that won't scrub off. I barely consider it a part of the series, to be honest. I also would've been disappointed to have Tommy Vercetti back.. he'd be quite old, too. Claude would've been okay, but very boring. He was great in the GTA III series, simply because he was simple. But in a game as large and in-depth as GTA IV, I personally don't think Claude would've cut it. Though I hope the new guy doesn't get too repetitive and irritating, as Tommy and CJ did after a while.
It never fails to amaze me in forums when discussing the next GTA game, amongst the usual requests for stuff people want in the next game, there's usually some sicko says he wants children to be in the game. WTF?I can't believe there are people who are arguing about rape if it is in the game?
Not to argue, but I never really understood why some people hated SA so much, it has its faults like other GTAs and some of them are annoying but I think its got a damn good story and is a nice step from VC. Just wondering if there was any one thing that some people tend to hate about the game
The way you could move the camera around using the right analogue stick was also really good for gameplay
Gameplay wise the game was the best so far. Decent car and bike physics, new abilities such as swimming and death from large falls, parachuting, flying planes etc. The way you could move the camera around using the right analogue stick was also really good for gameplay, as well as the new aiming system.
But the storyline didnt sit well with me. The radio stations were passable at best. The humour was not as good as it usually is. The map wasnt very good. The game seemed to jump all over the place, and they didnt seem to nail any particular stereotype because the game was always jumping around. There seemed to be little progression in terms of power over the city, or a big climax.
It all just happened, and that was it. It didnt feel like GTA.
This is all what I said about GTASA from day 1. Back then, nobody agreed with me...
I'm a bit surprised someone like Famine actually plays GTA.
No offense or anything, but you just don't strike me as someone who would play such a game.

Have you seen his web-site in which he has a guide for all the hidden packages on Vice City? with screen shots and all 👍I'm a bit surprised someone like Famine actually plays GTA.

Blake has it pretty much nailed down. It didn't feel like a GTA game. It was plain, all over the place, and repetitive. They had a lot of good ideas, but they just sort of crammed all of the ideas into the game without really developing them.land sea airNot to argue, but I never really understood why some people hated SA so much, it has its faults like other GTAs and some of them are annoying but I think its got a damn good story and is a nice step from VC. I think I just tried to give it a chance when it first come out, seeing as we had to live with that GTA for quite some time, but after a while it just frustrated me to the point that I couldn't play it anymore.FamineThis is all what I said about GTASA from day 1. Back then, nobody agreed with me...
