As in 2P? I don't know. That didn't seem to be very popular in SA, so I can't really see it coming back.

This game keeps sounding better and better. Don't think I have wanted a game this much since San Andreas came out. April 29th can't come soon enough.

The new trailer was superb. The vehicles look great, the new engine looks great especially when you see the guy falling down the stairs.

I doubt there will be any split screen multiplayer.

Oh yeah its official. This is THE game I have been dreaming of my entire life. I seriously cant believe how much content this game will have. Its like they have been listening to what I have wanted my entire life and its all in one game. Dang you can even steal helicopters and everything online in an entire free roaming city up to 16 players. Just insane!!!! I am so glad I took that week off paid!!!! :dopey:

I am going to LOL so hard if the release is delayed.

Not really a big deal. All I would do is just bump my paid week vacation until the next release date and it doesnt even effect anything. I had to do that for over a year straight for the release of Gran Turismo 4. :sly:

It could since Halo 3 was exclusive to the xbox360 while GTA 4 is multiple gaming systems.
I forgot how many million halo 3 copies were sold in the first 24 hours.

Digging up some old archive info on Halo 3.

-"$170 million in sales in the U.S. within the first 24 hours of the game's release, which marked not just the biggest videogame launch, but the biggest entertainment launch in history"

Oh yeah I think this will easily be GOTY. The only other game that could give it a run for its money would be Gears of War 2 but I just dont think that will even compare to all the content in GTA4. GOW2 will look pretty but will lack in content like the first GOW.
EDIT: THere is a new GTA4 video out showing actual gameplay but I cant get it to work since I cant watch youtube videos at work.

I have a question, can X-Box and Playstation users both vs each other on the same online game. i.e. Can we play online together or is it PS3 with PS3 players, and Xbox with Xbox players?

Its PS3 vs PS3, Xbox360 vs xbox360. I think there are only a couple games that let you play multiplatform. The only one I can think of for the 360 is Shadowrun.

I wanted to start a poll but it would prob get locked - i'd love to know which version PS3 or 360 people are getting who have both consoles.

I think im gonna go for the 360 version as i prefer xbox live over psn +more of my friends have xbox's

Since this forum is focused mainly on PS1 ps2 ps3 then majority would probably be buying it for the PS3. Same with most other multiplatform games.
I will be getting it for the 360.

I'm going for the 360 version as I want the download content at the end of this year. From what I've read there is no major difference between the two versions apart from the graphics on the 360 being brighter and the PS3 having better anti-aliasing.

But as Mark T says the download content is a bonus too! Im pretty sure i will buy the PS3 version eventually but i will need a reason 1st!

Not sure how well that works with the PS3 version of games but it always works real well for the 360. You can just look at your friends list and if it shows an arrow it means you can join that persons game even without an invite. Does the PS3 work like that too online with friends?

I'm not exactly sure what they meant when they said "brighter". It was stated in a preview I read so it could just be an early build of the game that need tweaking. Either way R* have said that the two versions will be almost identical.

The multiplayer should also be identical. I also have no idea how the PS3 online service works although I'm sure Sony will be prepared for the release.
