I tried reading through this thread to see if anybody has covered these "bugs", but got tired of reading all the bickering so I'll just post them.

* F1 cars and Nike car cannot enter GT maintenance area so oil and car wash maintenance cannot be performed.

* Chrysler Prowler, motor carriages and Nike car cannot enter any races.

* B-spec mode has a screen which shows the distance between cars, but the distances vary dramatically from second to second. One second you will be 250 meters ahead or behind, and the next second you will be a difference of 120 meters, and then it will jump back to 240 or so meters. It appears to calculate the distances according to how the crow flies rather than actual track distance.

* Superchargers cannot be installed along with NA stage modifications.

* No option to put original rims back on cars.

* TVR V8S is convertible, but the top does not open.

* No option to remove weight modifications once installed (I know this is true of all versions of GT, but come on! stage one just removes the spare tire and rear seat!!!)

* Chevelle is an AI opponent in the all corvette meet

you could never install na tune with turbos or supers on previous gts

"you could never install na tune with turbos or supers on previous gts"

That's true. However, in actuality if you put a racing cam, high performance pistons, etc. etc. on an engine, you can still put a supercharger or turbo-charger on it.

Certainly not a bug, but I figured I'd add a few grievances along with the bugs. The real bug is not being able to change oil in F1 cars!

If you can't use the Nike car in races then what CAN you do with it??

Just drive around doing time trials?? Or can you race a friend with it?

Pretty crap, was looking forward to go race a motor carriage lap on nurburgring with a friend in split screen, haha.

In a car with 'normal' aspiration, you could never install an intercooler. Some NA vehicles game the player a choise of a Turbo kit, but never an intercooler. Only vehicles dubbed 'turbo' could get one. :yuck:

And it was never possilbe to have both NA tuning and a Turbo/Intercooler on at the same time.

You can't do much with the nike car except take it to free run tracks.

I have no idea why you can't race with the prowler. It really is a cool car with a very nice engine sound.

You can race the motor carriages, but only in arcade mode which is where you would go for two-player races.

I hope you could change oil. What happens when the oil is black and the oil warning light is on. Then you lose HP and can't fix it :(

About those Chryslers they are not from BMW or Mercedes-Benz but Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler are Daimler Chrysler.

btw where the hell did you think that chrysler is from BMW :) LOL

Let`s talk about real bugs:

- all color names of the old Daihatsu Midget three-wheeler miss some letters
- the special credits movie with the 350 Z on the Nürburgring is stretched!

Not exactly sure when GT4 is coming, but i finally saw a GT4 commercial today on ESPN!!! I think it was posted here a long time ago, but it is a real Subaru Rally Car making a jump in slow motion, and then it shows the logo of GT4. But this is the first time i caught a glimpse of it on tv. I live in michigan by the way. Hopefully next month or early march will finally be our time.

That commercial was already revealed a long time ago because I read on a thread that some people saw it on a ball game in the us

That's true. However, in actuality if you put a racing cam, high performance pistons, etc. etc. on an engine, you can still put a supercharger or turbo-charger on it.

If we're talking about actuality, in real life when you modify a motor with a racing cam, high-performance, pistons, etc., you have to tailor those parts to whether the car will be naturally aspirated or have forced-induction (turbocharged/supercharged). Performing mods that raise compression in the cylinders (pistons, etc.), while boosting power if naturally aspirated, will cause detonation in a turbo/supercharged engine because the forced induction is already increasing the density of the intake charge. Modifications made to forced-induction motors (larger turbos, etc.) will usually include lower-compression pistons and different cam timing. So the parts you change in a motor definitely have a large effect on whether or not it can be turbocharged or supercharged. Removing a turbocharge from a motor that's been modified to take best advantage of being turbocharged will leave you with a motor that makes less power than it would stock. Conversely, adding a turbocharger/supercharger to a motor that's been highly tuned for NA performance will cause detonation and probably a holed piston due to overly high cylinder pressures.

So if I look at the turbocharger stages as including specialized parts, instead of just the turbos, and the NA stage modifications as including specialized parts for NA then it all makes sense.

Thanks Rezonance! What do I know about racing, anyway? I drive a chick car.

Isn't there supposed to be some sort of "engine refresh" option, or was that only the body refresh option for old cars. Well, if there is an engine refresh that would bake sense for the F1 cars not having oil changes because they need to be torn down and rebuilt (if not replaced) after every race.

Since the F1 cars are badged "polyphonic digital" and there is no PD car lot, then there is no "refresh" for either the frames or the engines (although I would like to add that the refresh option is only for the frame and doesn't affect the engine), as there is no place to modify or conduct maintenance for your F1 car.

liquid lion: You guys all seem to have five or ten performance cars sitting in your garage(s), while I have one chick car sitting outside for my driving "pleasure" so I think the actual model will be kept off this board as I don't relish being laughed at. For a real car, I need to drive to work, and driving to work requires heading to the gas station every now and then, and that means handing over hard-earned money. I can race a TVR speed 12 on GT4, but in real life, the gas prices would quickly start eating into my beer money allowance, and some things are just not meant to be.

I wouldn't be too ashamed of owning any car...I recently had to junk my dog-slow '70 Mercedes. Now I have to drive the company minivan. I dream of owning something like a stock Neon!

Okay okay, I have a 05 Honda Fit (Jazz for the UK market). My wife wants to trade me for her 03 Honda Stream, but I told her that she wanted a stream when she ordered it, so a stream is what she's got.

No unfortunately the C6 Covette has not been confirmed.

Would people stop ASKING!!
any word on the US release including the C6?

When he said there wouldn't be a Corvette C6, why did you reply with the same question? Come on now. People can be trusted on GTPlanet.

What chance that a Championship series will actually add miles to a car (in the Japanese version the mileage is taken off after a race).

issue: I'm using an VGA transcoder and monitor does not support 480i. So everytime i want to play in 480p/1080i i have to switch cable before the race starts. I know the menu is capable of doing 480p/1080i because you can go into the option menu from the race options with 480p/1080i enable.

So please try to add 480p/1080i in the regular menu!!

A few of those are true flaws, however, they aren't "bugs".

As for SC and NA...why on gods green earth would you ADD a Supercharger to BOOST compression, then BOOST compression with HIGH COMP PISTONS. That's disaster waiting to happen, a motor build like that wouldn't last at all. What should be available, IIRC, are the P&P, Valve jobs, and ECU Chip. Can't remember if engine balance was available or not.
