Hi @anim8r_uk

I have asked @gridgame on the Twitters about the HUD but have had no answer yet, I've seen every video and don't recall it being mentioned...I just wanted to know about the HUD.

Can the HUD be fully personalised/customised?

Can I have just the rev dial and gear indicator and turn everything else off?

So he says..."Too arcadey & To slidey"

Sums up what people have been saying around the net and weve not even played it yet. :(

He also says "too slidey" and then later in the video talks about how the car has lots of traction....

In his street racing video, he mentions how the cars are slidey..... and then mentions how the car has loads of grip! :p

He does also says that he thinks the cars slide.... but they're not power-sliding or drifting..... just sliding.

Any car will slide if made to do so. If you throw a car into a tight corner at 100mph and crank the wheel to the right/left and dab the break..... sure.... you'll make the car slide. It won't be fast and you'll likely crash hard into the wall..... but you can do it..... How many times did he crash into the walls again???? :P

That's a question best answered by the Community guys I'm afraid. Hang in there... they will respond if they can..... we're getting loads of questions and feedback :D

I really like the vids so far. The only remark I have is that in replay the touringcars look a bit to floaty and their cornering shows a bit of a strange approach. For the rest I find it great. The sounds are superb and the AI looks like a good challenge :D

In this vid the person says/believes(0:58) the touringcars are from the lowest class. @anim8r_uk , can you confirm this?

@Speedster911 In one of the videos the guy overbrakes and misses the apex due to understeer and wheellockup as it seems.

See the latest Blog.... Yes.... the touring cars in this video are the lowest Spec Touring Cars.... Category C :)

How about you guys putting up video's of driving properly and not sliding? As every video i have seen so far seems pretty slidey.

You's up for that?

I see a pattern emerging: Grid 1 and Dirt 1 had a large variety of race categories, Grid 2 and Dirt 2 had mostly modern, over the top, also fictional racing types. Grid Autosport and Dirt 3 both feature more historical content and a return to classic racing disciplines. 👍

Thanks for the info.

It'll be possible to run without sponsors at all? Clean car, etc?

You're better off asking the community team that. You can get them on Twitter, Facebook or the Codemasters forums. I can only confirm things that have already been announced and discuss the game i'm afraid. Sorry

Still looks like the cars physics "pivot" around the center. After every corner (in the Touring Cars anyway) the driver countersteers - on turn in to a right hander the front pivots around center to the right, the rear in turn pivots to the left. The driver then needs to correct the rear on corner exit.

A certain amount of slip angle when cornering is ideal, but you shouldn't be "oversteering" out of corners to achieve it.

That's. Too. DAMN. Epic. I really wish this is the game packed of good ole' fun I've been longing for some time now! Not too complicated, not too childish, just in the sweetspot that EA has been missing for more than half a decade.

Oh. My. God. Brazilian Stock Cars make this game very interesting.

Anyone know what GT3 machinery will be in? I know of the Mercedes off the top of my head.

And if you've seen the initial announcement picture, the Audi R8 LMS Ultra as well.

Bathurst is confirmed as well :D

Touring Cars represented in the game include both modern and classic cars. Contemporary examples include the Honda Civic Touring Car, Ford Focus ST Touring Car, the Holden VF Commodore and its rival the Ford Falcon FG plus many more. Classic content includes the Nissan 1991 (R32) Skyline GT-R Group A and the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Group A, two cars which fought out dramatic battles on track, plus the MINI Miglia and more. Touring races are held on the game’s real-world circuits, including the world famous Brands Hatch and Bathurst tracks, and offer players truly dramatic, immediate and intense racing.

Pretty interesting that they picked up Stock Car Brasil but i dont think they will even come close to Game Stock Car's version. Game is definitely looking good but Grid 2 burned me pretty bad so im gonna see how this one pans out before i even think about getting my wallet out.
