That was the first thing I did, I hate a screen full of clutter.

I may try switching to hood cam, but the way it distorts the image is ridiculous, whereas cockpit + zoom looks very natural. Eh, I guess for now I'll just stick with what I got and if I find I can't keep pace then I'll start grasping at straws :p.

I just use the cockpit + zoom as well since I'm coming from racing sims on PC. To me the point is that I'm supposed to be driving a car.

I'm starting to think I'm one of the only ones using the bumper view?

R1600: Where there any problems in the finals last year that they may address/change this year? How was Orlando? They put you up for a while? Get any good food to eat? :D

Round 3, Event 4: Variations of Corners at Cape Ring.
Time: 0:17.757 ranked at 1456th in the world, 0:00.281 behind the 1st time. Done with a DS3.
Wait, what?!

Are there drawbacks I should consider when using bumper view? I'm sure to each his own but there is always a method to the madness. Unlike Scooty, I'm already grasping at straws. lol :sly:

From the looks of it the higher view enable's you see through the track, I've noticed that I don't look far enough down the track to make adjustments since I cant see higher then a barrier like in Madrid.

Using bumper view but I'm starting to think hood view might be better.:nervous:

hood view gives you a better perspective of upcoming turns, also lets you know exactly where the edges of your car are, bumper cam is a little nauseating the way it moves up, down and side to side under braking and turning

I've found myself using hood view more often then I previously had been.

It would be a perfect view if it had a mirror of some sort to see who is behind you during races though.

Agreed. I substitute not having a mirror with putting my track map on "2". That way I can see people around me and to make sure I'm clear coming into and out of corners.

@RT - that 21.391 is blazing.
Spent the past 3 hours trying to beat it only got a 21.424 good for 41st spot :)
Happy but I was counting on getting into the .3s after all that.

Hard for me to remember exactly what I did, but I know I tried my best to dive in there as hard as I could, using as little brakes as possible so that the rear didn't step out. It's hard to perfect the spot where you get back on the throttle, but I apexed in such a way that I had a better arc through the last corner from the outside. I know for sure I did a lot of trail braking, ever so slightly.

The last turn on 4-1 light requires brake taps.

Follow a top ghost and stay very close throughout.

On and through turn 1, if you're not inside of his ghost (and close that is), you can kiss anything below a .300 goodbye.

I ran a .279 after an hour or so. Very tricky but rewarding time trial! Loving the layout, too.

That makes a big difference! Haha. That, too, is a challenging TT!

Indy road course is underrated. Excellent technical track.

And on the Ghost replays, the only time I used them was in the Rounds 1 & 2 because I was curious why, with such a slow car, why I was so behind. That's when I saw the grass hoppers.

Only ghost I have beaten in Round 3 & 4 was my own. :)

^^I'm right above you (no homo) overall on Round 3! lol

Round 4-1 & 4-2 are the one's I need to work on...especially 4-2, lol.

I'll have to do that. My track map is currently at 3, which is good enough when using bumper view.
