370Z default TC set to 7, hahaha!

Sidenote: In GT Academy and GT5, even with TC set to 0, to me, it still seems like there's a bit of TC going on, which causes me to exit and recheck settings on occasion.....maybe it's just me....

I'm just getting done doing 3-3, the one @ Le Sarthe, it's a bit difficult getting that first braking point/corner just right.

I am currently at 33.5, anyone got any tip's on 3-3???

:dopey:

also, I lowered my ff from 5 to 3, that seemed to help me get the car where I wanted to better.

Do you supposed they will allow you to adjust the force feedback in the semi-finals???

I got to 33.391. My best suggestion is whipping out the backside on the very first turn, then accelerate in 3rd or 4th for a few feet, and then just as you turn right, quickly return to 2nd and get the heck out. Avoid the long line of cones and then finish the second half. The last half is crucial, though. If you're dipping below 70MPH on the second to last turn, you won't see top 250.

Seems like the tracks were revamped because they look much more like their live counterparts. Anyways, Im loving the R32. Trail braking like a mofo at LeMans. :trouble:

What's this round 5 maybe?

ummm, these are the same courses already in GT5 EXCLUDING Twin Ring Motegi. For every challenge on the Nur its the 24 Hour Version.

Thank's for the tips!

Negative sir. Wheels are used with default settings.

Cool. 👍

Anybody else digging the layout?

I feel as though THIS is how GT Life should feel. The global map puts things into grander perspective and that's hows the events should be divided (countries). Very similar to GT4 but a bit more polished and interactive.

Speaking of GT6, it would be great to see the license tests have a leaderboard like the GT Academy does.

^^ +1

I miss GT4's layout, as well as the way they had arcade mode...with all the dealership's by country.

Anyway, I got done doing all of Round 3, the Le Sarthe & Nurb. one's seem to be the most challenging for me. :D

I'll probably get started on Round 4 later today or tomorrow.

I managed to break into the 2000s on 3-5. (1980) My best leader board ranking yet. Now of course, it's somewhere above 2000. :(

Maybe thats why. I havent driven the 24h course in GT5 yet, only watched vids. I've only driven the GP course and that didn't look or feel as tight as the real track is, so I assumed. :indiff:

Im quitting for this week. Will be back maybe Thurday to see my 3-6k times go above 15k... :dunce:

i did 52.237 on 3-5 to see how many people are bronzing it(yea bad at being slow) and i was ranked 60985, when i did 46.6 for a proper time(yea bad at being fast too) i was 418xx.
So it seems most people who pass the challenges gold the challenges.
4-2 25.966 was 49k 22.550 was 29k
4-3 36.642 47771 32.203 38k
and the one i'm most proud of
4-5 1:07.837 46061 57.826 31981

I'm thinking the rounds will go like this:

Round 5 - Nissan Skyline R34

Round 6 - Nissan R35 GT-R

Round 7 - Nissan 370Z Tuned

Round 8 - Nissan R35 GT-R Tuned

This is only my guess though.

Just saying that's what we dealt with in Orlando. Take it how you may. ;)

Oh and I tied you to the thousandth on 3-2.

I was going to give up but when I saw that I was like, "Nah can't leave it like that". :D

3-2 is probably the most difficult challenge yet, it's hard to find a line. Good fun though.

Par for the course, isn't it? Every time we face off, it often comes down to mere thousandths.

Definitely will try 3-2 again, although that .661 came after endless .8-.9s because of that long-right hander. IIRC, I had to do a brake jab mid-corner.

We couldn't be more equal speed wise even if we tried.

I think all those months of teaching myself how to conserve tires hurt my outright speed.

Edit: Just ran a 21.319 on Section 4-1 and crossed the finish line at a 90 degree angle.

Edit 2: I am officially finished with this round. I'm probably already dropping from the rankings listed below as I type, but I'm satisfied and will leave this one alone until the next rounds are unlocked. :)

Round / Time / Rank in World

[3-1] 16.393 / 124th
[3-2] 30.631 / 109th
[3-3] 33.390 / 65th
[3-4] 17.619 / 129th
[3-5] 44.176 / 89th

[4-1] 21.281 / 48th
[4-2] 21.391 / 12th (2nd in USA)
[4-3] 29.409 / 66th
[4-4] 22.223 / 43rd
[4-5] 55.833 / 30th

Let_Canada_In is first in 4-2. Also globally ranked 4th in round 3 and 5th in round 4. I think he just jumped up a spot as I was checking.

Actually put a little effort into 4-3 yesterday and was down to 14th overall with a 29.2 with a .0 in the works if I try again. That's the confidence boost I needed before heading into the final one that counts. Only took me 3 weeks to figure out how to set my csr the way I like it.
