I just hit 11th with a 1.21.148 whooo hooo ! (for now...G25 out of stock still waiting !)

When you say out of stock do you mean from Logitech? I planned on ordering mine from Logitech's website in about 3 weeks from now.

I got mine from Ebay - brand new and sealed.

Ordered 3pm and received next day by 10am.
Unfortunately the same seller hasn't any left at the moment but I see there are 10 available in UK from a different seller with very good feedback.

Looks like they may have only just gone on!
Only had 6 views at the time of writing this!
Bet they won't be around for long.

P.S Oh...and even using it I'm getting faster, but no where near the lead times! arf arf! :)

When this is done and finished - I am NEVER touching neither Eiger nor the Z EVER again..

Man I suck hard at this...

I'm with you on that one! :)
Although I've got better than my original 1950th place!! (or somewhere near!) and am now, or was, in 144th place last night, I'm still a country mile off the lead times!

Although I don't really want to get into the top 20, as I think the prize would be difficult to fit in to most peoples lives/work schedule, I do want to prove to myself that I'm not the slowest on the block! :)

It's made a nice change from the crazy online racing anyway...hitting the open road without distraction!.....well apart from the wife shouting "are you on that game again?"

:)

I believe in Holland we now have a top time of 1.20.17x ? Or 1.20.16x ? Set by thedoctor or something ;p not sure though, but I believe it was a tiny bit faster than the German top time. I'm stuck at 1.24.7 with a SixAxis :( I've seen the replay of the fastest time and loaded it as ghost. But my back always slide outs a bit, and when I looked at the replay thedoctor doesn't slide out the back :embarrassed: Can anyone give me tips? I'm driving with the pad though, but I know I can be faster with it. I'll soon buy a wheel too. Should I got a G25 or a DFGT or DFP or another?

Thanks in advance

PW

Not a lot happening in the GB IE top 20, perhaps everyone will show their hand at the death.

I was 70/30 on whether I could see it through and I'll probably pull out (if I even make the top 20 that is). I'd love to go to Silverstone for the National final but I don't think its possible if, lets say a fair number don't pass the fitness and you get called upon, as I can't get away from family ties and things, so it would be a selfish day out when someone who really wants it and has the time if they get called upon. I've got a Driving License, nearly 30 and driven all kinds of cars and would love a real crack at it. Anyway, hopefully people don't mind me having a bit of fun with GT Academy and I hope for the organizers they have 20 people who can really see the whole competition out if needs be and not a load of GT day outers.
:)

Are you still on paddle shifters PB

Hello Guy,

We have a very good news from our GTAcademy organization in France.

We had 2 players (cheaters) 1st & 2nd with 1.19.XXX and 1.20.1xx........
They were Wallsurfing on curve 1 and 3 which gave them T1 on 33.3 and 33.4 :ouch:

We all report the cheaters to Sony for 4 days and they finally erased their time and made them dissapear from the ranking 👍

If this happen to your country, please do the same, do not hesitate to report them as cheater 👍

Good luck to all 👍

So a G25 it is then. Maybe I'll take it. I'm a bit short on cash :dopey:. Can anyone perhaps give me tips about how to drive the track? my back always slides out in the hairpins and long hairpin before the tunnel. Any pad racers with tips?:sly:

Yes, should have used a smiley on the above post.. :) ..done my share of laps there, and would have guessed no.

edit: ..just watched the video. Pretty sure it's S2's or even better.

Yeah, though I havent attempted the academy because one Australians are excluded and two I have been away from my PS3 for almost two months but I have done a large amount of testing are time trial records on Eiger and going by my own experiences and what times people are getting in the academy 1'18 seems impossible with GT Academy rules. :)

:lol::lol: With the way he drives on the video.... he doesn't use N1 tyres for sure... I wouls say S3 at least but I trust it's not on Pro physics...

I would love to see wjat they would do if they play the same rules

Quick question for G25 users - how do you get lock on quickly enough to get round the hairpins with the wheel? Are you using 900*?

Tied with my new G25 last night, and just could get the lock on fast enough!

I drive DFP and thats the thing different with pad / wheel... With wheel you don't go lock-to-lock, I don't need to even change the grip in the esses. I guess this is just the same with G25. And if your front tyres are screaming, you do it too harsh.. :)
