For the record, the Eiger is a mountain in that other European country whose name starts with 'Sw' (and which sadly isn't participating in GT Academy). (If that was part of the joke, kindly ignore me :)

You guys are great. I'm now 18th in Holland with an 1'21.5xx with some room for improvement. But it is not easy, not at all!! My vacation just started, so maybe I'll be able to find some more time to set a "decent" lap...

Whoops there I am again back up to 17th on a 1.21.045 which I think is a duplicate time. I keep popping back up but its frustrating because I did a few first splits in 34.1 earlier but this lap was at least a tenth slower and the spoon wasn't brilliant. I can easily see how you guys are in the 20's I will be definitely joining you before the end.
I've lost count the number of times I've pulled infront of Oldbeanie's ghost.

I only managed One 33.9xx but screw the rest of the lap....

Really hard in France @ the moment. Top 20 is now under 1.20.793 and top 100 is under 1.21.88x.
We all should be under 1.20.700 before the end :scared:

I can not understand how u guys can get so fast T1-times, I'm usually get 34.8 at T1.
It doesn't help that I am unable to get the replays, that some kind fellows have posted, to work. What the F am I doing wrong? :crazy:
 
Slipped out of the UK top 20 earlier, but now I'm back to 9th place with a 1'20.915. 👍

I'm now using the G25, but without the clutch.

I actually kept improving, kinda scary :crazy:

Sadly I doubt my 1'20.803 will be enough to be Top 20 at the end of round 1. Most of our times are several weeks old and I assume that most of the guys just didn't bother so far but could actually go quite a bit faster...

The best T1 I can get is 34.5xx.

No idea how these guys are getting the boat...I mean Nissan :) round the track so quickly.

As you can see, It will be very hard to stay in Top 20 without a good 1.20.6

The Cheater (Wallsurfer) that was banned previously is back at position 1 but with a clean run this time, and we can say that player 1st & 3rd have been done by the same guy, trying to have his brother qualified :ouch:
We might have an explanation on that and we hope before the final.... otherwise we will have to take care of him/them on final day :grumpy:

Hi Sphinx, so are you using the stick shift or the paddles?
I assume you are left foot braking?

I am using the paddles at the moment and when changing gear the car brakes for a moment before engaging the new gear.
Does this happen with the stick shift?

Just wondered if I should change driving style, I might get another 100th of a second using the stick shift! hehehe! :dopey:

Think he means the simulated clutch when not using the G25 clutch. It delays a bit before resuming revs - that's why the G25 is quicker, you can change gear as quickly as you can put the clutch in and out, no delay :)

Sorry, I should have explained.

As you change up a gear with the paddles the throttle indicator drops to zero and the brake indicator goes to full just for a split second.
I know it won't really have any massive impact on the cars momentum but I am clutching at straws for every 100th I can get! :)

I don't really know why as it's not 100th's I need it's whole seconds!! :dunce:
I was just interested to know if you were using stick or paddles. 👍
 
hey everyone, how many days we got left for the comp? I ordered my DFGT off Logitech and it should arrive tomo, a good chance now to pratice as hard as possible with a great wheel, on a controller my bests are 1.22.'s and i cant get further than that, think the calibration on my analog stick is slightly faulty :S,

whats everyones best so far?
