France Poll is :

Best time 1.21.374 and we have 4 GT5.net drivers + Manu_GTChallenge ;)

Hello,

Been reading posts here for a while but never joined so thought now would be a good time. Had a few laps this evening and managed second although I imagine that won't last long with the competition on here. Feels like I should be able to get another few tenths off with a bit more practice. I'm using a G25 with paddles and no driving aids. Only got the wheel last week so need more practice.

Anyway, don't go improving your times too much and I'll hopefully meet a few of you at the finals :)

Good luck all:tup:

...
Sony (SCEJ) never intended for European players to be playing their version and I wouldn't expect them to suit EU players in the process (allowing them to have access to the EU competitions through a Japanese game)

Yeah, but there were some special race events in jpGT5P for the US and EU
boys only, I do remember. It would be possible, but they may have problem
with this solution.

I'm guessing that's a fastyfast time

Yeah, gtrp_wiese (or something like that) is really good on these TT. I wonder how many laps they do.

I don't think I'm able to get beyond 1'21.5xx. I've only had my wheel for a few days and have managed to match or beat pad times by 0.500 or so, but cutting my time to that level or the top time for S2 tyres for me would involve lots of going wide to get a flukey lap at my level.

Welcome aboard PrudentBear, your doing well so far:tup:

I'm now down to 1:22.7 something and last time I checked (probs two hours ago now) I was in 23rd... I'm getting to the limit of what I can do with the pad now. I only need probably another two tenths to get me back into the top twenty but I somehow think that'll be more luck than skill!

By the end of my lapping today I was quite tired though - I moved onto GTA4 in the end because I didn't have the concentration for GT. Serves me right for getting up early this morning!

I made it to 19th for about 10 mins. Last I looked I was 23'rd and dropping like a stone. I hate this car and I hate this track but I'm going to try again tomorrow

I don't mind the car or the track, it's just such a battle with those tyres. It's more like survival of the fittest than anything else.

I expect I'll be doing very little else on GT5 from now on than lapping the GT Academy challenge.

If you've recently been 23rd Pentagram then I expect I'm even lower now :( God knows what time marks the entry into the top 20 now...

Just played for 45 minutes just to knock a tenth off:crazy:

In the 21.4s now but I see Sphinx has robbed me of 2nd:ouch:

Must go to bed now, work tomorrow but I'll be back :nervous:

Me too. Work tommorow as well. Nice to see me in 17th..Prob not for long. This is getting very competitive now....I'll keep going tommorow...:)

Oh how am I jealous of you Europeans, I think I could have had a very good shot at this, especially on Eiger :(

with this solution.

That was only for EU and US testing well before their release.

count me in! :D

Possible.

However, I've ordered the EU version now.

@ALL: Since I've ordered the EU/German version of GT5P, is it possible to
switch the language from german to english? Well, I'm from germany, but I
would rather have the game in english.

Just tried, basicly my first laps in eiger(+the obligatory stuff in offline)... Hard track, ****ti car, but GTP_ rules the finnish dance boards! 1st! :) time not good yet... but I´ll get there (1:21:97x). Lucky me to live in a such small country..

👍

Does it work with the japanese version of the game? I've registered
successfully (6h ago), but I can't see the GT Academy Time Trial within
the japanese version of the game. What's up?!

yep im injapan aswell and managed to register!!!but no option for GT academyTT.what a bummer.

yep i created a UK acount and had to start from scratch..........was gutted

If you just create a UK account without buying the PAL version (english) of the game you can just transfer your save game over to your other accounts (assuming you are still using the SCEJ Japanese version)

Yep, it is possible to switch languages...

After running 50 or so laps last night I had 16th for a while (1:22.7xx), but was down to 33rd this morning. I don't think a top 20 is going to be possible for me using the pad - I can see where I could possibly get another 0.5, but my throttle control is just not good enough on these tyres... plus the concentration needed to hold a lap together makes my head hurt.

Watched your reply this morning, Sphinx - nice lap!

Final point - 'Real Driving Simulator' my a**e... I've driven a few 350Z's, and they don't oversteer/power wheelspin in 3rd gear with 5* of steering lock applied

hmm I can't press the register button on the gt academy site, I check the box at the last line and when I try to press the register button (on the first page where everything is explained how it works etc.) Nothing happens. Hmm could it be that if you are from Switzerland you can't register for GT - Academy ? (maybe it checks the ip from where you want to register and if it's no a country which is listed on the gt-academy page, then you are not allowed to register)

AAARRRRRGHHHHHHHHH.... FFS :grumpy:

Hate the track, hate the car, hate the tires. This Sucks and Blows at the same time...

And still, I keep putting in time...

I am having a little problem now. When I have to register for the academy on the internet, I have to log on with my e-mail and password. Problem is, I can't remember my password, and I have activate auto-login when I go online with the PS3. How can I find the menu where I can press "Forgot your password?", so I can get it sent to myself? Yes I did get an e-mail when I registered for a PSN account, but it only says my registered e-mail and online IGN, no password 💡

Anyone?
