Very good Eric and Merry ChristmasIt’s that time again...
A Geezer Christmas Story
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Pepper’s house
Not a geezer was stirring, not even a Duce;
The stockings were hung by the Play Station with care,
In hopes that St. Geezer1791 soon would be there;
The geezers were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of new Gran Turismo Sport tracks raced in their heads;
And Oldboy in his racing pajamas, and Gary in his livery,
Had just settled our tachometers for a long winter's pit stop,
When out on the race track there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my pit to see what was the matter.
Away to the windshield I flew like a flash,
Tore down the race track and tried not to crash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a bright red Tank Car and eleven maxed-out Skylines,
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be St. Geezer.
More rapid than QM Exiles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Cory!, now Cheeves!, now Bone_Tone!, now Mots!, now Papa! and StirlingMoose!
On Luiz!, on J.R.!, on Calveron!, on Reda!, on Nordschleife!, on Oldgoat! and Digtater!
To the top of the straightaway! to the top of the pit wall!
Now race away! race away! race away all!"
As leaves before the wild starting grid fly,
When they meet with a backmarker, mount to the sky;
So up to Pepper’s house the Skylines they flew
With the Tank Car full of PS4's, and St. Geezer too—
And then, in a screeching, I heard on the track
The slipping and sliding of each racing slick.
As I raised my visor, and was turning around,
Down the pit lane St. Geezer came with a bound.
He was dressed all in Nomex, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with oil spray and tire soot;
A bundle of racing steering wheel sets (and a new Fanatec for J.R.) he had flung on his back,
To the delight of geezers waiting at the track.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the nomex stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the pit chimney he rose;
He sprang to his Tank Car, to his Skylines gave the command,
And away they all flew like the wind.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he raced out of sight—
“Happy Christmas to all Geezers, and to all a good night!”
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Geezers one and all!!

The Geezer Club Christmas Wish Is - Hoping you come back and race with The Geezers again.Merry Christmas everyone. 👍👍
Dragon Whiskey you were right on one thing. You should of just kept busy with other things. As a child I had I really struggle with reading, spelling and writing and sometimes today. A learning disability is something I don’t wish on anyone. As an adult I had to teach myself to read and write and still struggle today with it. Between friends it’s ok to kid and have banter about things like this. Thanks, GaryWhile I should probably just get busy with other things, reading this made my pedantic grammar bone ache. Punctuation is important, however, capitalization and precise language play an equal role in guarding against misunderstanding written and spoken words, regardless of which language is used.
I don't know if English is @Nonno Calvy 's first, second or third language but I'll see if I can explain what happened here.
As cory wrote the statement, Nonno inferred the word Jack as a verb. Its capitalization implies a person however and, if he'd, coryclifford, decided to use more precise, or qualifying words, that statement might have looked something like this, "Helped my Uncle Jack dismount from a horse.", or "Helped my Uncle Jack get off a horse." Nonno, you inferred the statement as "Helped my Uncle, jack off a horse." Which would make the reaction,, you had understandable, unless you consider, perhaps, cory and his Uncle are harvesting a stallion's seed for artificial insemination of a mare at a later date. While I'm certain there are other, less messy, means of harvesting equine sperm, those methods probably require more money for the technology, equipment and properly trained personnel, than a poor horse farmer from, let's say eastern Kentucky, might have, and would influence that poor farmer's decision to ask his nephew to come help him do the job.
In any case, and especially in the written word, imprecise and vague wording, incorrect punctuation and capitalization, whether intentional or not, will leave the communication open to incorrect inference and interpretation by whomever receives the message.
It's kinda' like that guy @Mike Rotch . It's two separate words, Mike and Rotch but, if you say it fast enough and strike a Michael Jackson pose.... While I don't know the person, I suspect the choice of name was very intentional, the same as coryclifford's use of vague and easily misinterpreted wording.
Ok. My pedantic grammar bone has stopped aching. I will go nowand
. Maybe later I'll
